Located in Taupo, this lovely house for R 2,149 per night is a great option for your next vacation. 23 Rainbow Drive is two dwellings on the one private secure site only a 100m from the lake edge via an access way off nearby Oregan Drive. The 4 bedroom rear house is an entertainers dream with open plan living and great indoor/outdoor flow onto a large rear private and sun-filled deck. The house is well insulated and toasty warm with heat pump and panel wall heaters throughout the house. A large garage area also provides a rumpus room for the kids on wet or cold days and when they need to burn some energy! (This property sleeps 4 Adults and 4 Children. Any additional adults and children can utilise the seperate 2bdm cottage for the additional adult/children charge). The 2 bedroom cottage on the front of the property is a cute and cozy separate home that provides options for additional family or friends that may be invited to stay - Great for family reunions or sporting groups / events. Rainbow Point has the nearby Dairy for all your essentials and kid treats, along with the fantastic fish and chip shop for takeaway night. The Ploughmans restaurant will cater for your night out and all of these are just a short walk away. Being so close to the lake and Lions walkway may mean that a walk to town along the lake front becomes a regular venture for your morning coffee. Plenty of off street parking for vehicles or boats and secured behind gates for that peace of mind. Special conditions: • Use of both houses will incur additional adult charges over standard 4 adult allowance for the 4bdm house as per pricing schedule. • Use of the separate 2bdm cottage is available for the additional adult/children charge as listed. • Deck not suitable for very small children Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$95.00 per house); Linen (Optional, NZ$25.00 per person);

Beautiful well-kept property, with an amazing proactive host that was available for any questions and very responsive. I would highly recommend this property if you have a large group as it will accommodate easily without feeling cramped. The second house was a bonus. Great weekend, short walking distance to lake, quiet area. Good size for group or large families. Could do with another chair in lounge, new frypan and coffee machine but apart from that very suitabke and had a very enjoyable stay.

Great place to stay. Had all you need. Place was clean and tidy inside and out. Fully fenced to keep all the little ones in. Just a short walk down to the lake. Great communication throughout the booking process. We will book again.

3 Families, 6 adults 7 kids ranging from 5-16 were comfortably accommodated here. Plenty of seating and two large tables (1 indoor 1 covered outdoor) gave a lot of options. A decent amount of indoor and outdoor space for everyone to spread out when home. Very close to the lake, township and Countdown. A great time was had. I would note though for planning, 2 of 4 sets of bunk beds would suit average to small sized teens / children only.

Having the two houses was amazing - and allowed the large group (of 3 families) space. All amenities were great and there was plenty of space for everyone to be really comfortable (and extra bedrooms in the garage). Excellent location (off the main "Taupo Strip") but perfect with the Countdown, Pub and Dairy just up the road. Nice and quiet - the only noise we heard was the wind on one night when Cyclone Gabrielle passed through. Main house cleanliness was adequate but upon our departure, I noticed when cleaning that it could've been a bit more thorough - the BBQ was a bit grim when we got there, but we cleaned it up and replaced the fat drip / tray. I think we also may have left the BBQ cooking mat there :) Check in was a bit tricky (due to a missing email) but we got there in the end. All in all - a great place top stay with heaps of space and everything you could possibly need! Would highly recommend and would absolutely go back again! Thanks for having us! Sarah

A perfect house for a family holiday, with space for all ages and a big lawn for the kids to run around on. So quick to pop down to the lake for a swim or a bike ride. We had a lovely stay, thanks!

Enjoyed our stay, was comfortable and roomy. Plenty of room. Lovely outdoor seating area to dine at. There were no hand towels or bath maths and only 1 tea towel for 7 people. We didn't get linen but were only told to bring sheets and pillowslips. Further clarification would have been better. Lucky we took our towels, but had to buy some hand towels, bath mats for both bathrooms and tea towels. Other than that we did enjoy our stay. House was warm and spacious for a big group.

great location and very clear and quick response from the host. would come back again for sure. Suggest can update some of the window and door seal as a little worn out letting the draft and bugs in at night
