The local color at the end of this street includes a stop at Joe's Coffe and afternoon Tea Dance at the Boat Slip; all a walk down the street. Walk the town, enjoy legendary lobster dinner preceded by a dozen cool Wellfleet Oysters. The best oysters in New England are here at one of the many eateries in town. There is plenty to see and do. It is not just about the pretty faces. The Mayflower pilgrims, who landed here in 1620 and the Pilgrim Monument are a staple tour, Herring Cove swim, whale watching, the National Sea Shore bicycle trails, the old time fishing boats still working day in and out as the seasons change; it is all wonderful.
