Clean home very peaceful. Fun rec room. Jetted tub was relaxing. Amazing bed. Slept like a baby. Friendly courteous host. Left an item after checkout offered to ship it back to me. Very gracious

Was difficult finding the light switches but very cozy and relaxing getaway!

Nice place to stay for our quick trip to spend holiday with family. Perfect for our needs.

Had a very nice stay, the lodge was very cozy, the yard was huge, too cold to really be out for too long but was able to have a fire one night. Close to stores for quick runs. Only thing I wish it would have had was handicap grab bars in the shower, for my elderly mother but all in all it was a nice stay

The house was cozy and cabin-like. We enjoyed the small-town feel of Conneaut and the sizable yard made it feel like we were in the country. Everything was good and as expected.

Spent a nice weekend here at the Lodge. Couldn't ask for a more cozy, clean, and memorable experience!

The proximity of this rental to the lake got our attention. The spacious outdoor patio, yard and fire pit sealed the deal and the game room was icing on the cake. There was plenty of room for a large family (thinking of doing this again with more people, personally) a full kitchen, two bathrooms, and something for everyone to do. We slept great- on clean sheets, and found everything to our satisfaction. Definitely recommend this for your needs.

The place was very nice. It was clean and well stocked with all the needs for our stay. The place had lots of space to just sit and relax. It was worth the price of the visit.

My last-minute getaway was absolutely perfect. The place I stayed at met all my expectations.

Came to Conneaut & decided to rent a house instead of staying in a hotel. Harry made it easy to check in with a keyless entry. A/C in bedroom but house was comfortable since the outside temp was in the 70's-80's. Nice deck with lots of furniture & great big lawn for walks. Parked my car in the garage & plugged in to get more miles since there are no Tesla Superchargers (or any other chargers) nearby. House is close to town & 10 minutes from the highway. Full kitchen could use some updating, including cookware. If we weren't so busy, we could have enjoyed the pool table, jacuzzi & outdoor grill. Next time!

We only stayed one night as we were driving through the area but we have no complaints. The house was convenient to get to, the owner was responsive, and we had a comfortable stay. Thanks!

Roomy property, beautiful setting. We needed a quiet place for me, my pal and our two pups. We always look for properties in quiet areas without the noise and congestion of the tourist areas and this fit the bill. We’d spent the afternoon at Presque Isle and this was an easy drive.

My husband and I stayed here as a stop on our trip from Texas to Vermont. We prefer VRBO's to hotels and The Lodge at the Lake did not disappoint! I only wish we'd been there a little longer to enjoy all of the amenities. (Pool table, frisbee golf field, lovely patio - just to name a few!) The yard is enormous, though not fenced, but our dogs did not stray far - since there was so much room to wander - so it was perfect. Most of all, for what we needed, it was perfect since it bypassed driving through Cleveland! It actually shortened our drive. We'll be staying here again in 2024!

Property beautiful. Great location. House needs some updating but was clean and ok. Only problem needs some humidifiers. Musty smell was a little off putting and bothered my asthma. That was my only complaint.

We had a nice stay. Very close drive to everything you need; Beach, fishing, resturants and groceries.

This place was perfect for our family and we will definitely be back every year !

The place was clean and well kept, there's really only 2 usable bedrooms upstairs, but plenty of fold out couches up and downstairs to crash on if you have a large group thats not too fussy. Everything worked as it should, showers were hot and the host had great communications. I wish it wasn't a work trip so I could have taken more time to enjoy the 50 acres of property that the house is situated on. Rent with confidence !

We chose this property because it's the halway point between me and my other friends in another state.
The house is very cozy with a rustic cabin feel. There was plenty to do between the t.v. upstairs, t.v. downstairs, darts and a pool table as well as a few books and games on the shelves.
The property itself is huge with plenty of running room or to play games, etc. There's a garage to park your vehicle in so if it's bad weather you can load and unload in comfort.
If you really need to unwind and relax there is a whirlpool tub in the downstairs bathroom. My friend said that although it took a while to fill up, the water stayed hot for a long time.
The great thing about this property is you can either stay upstairs and enjoy some t.v. board games or reading or you can hang put downstairs and watch some t.v. in the sitting room or play some pool. The pool table was definitely a plus.
Harry was very responsive when I messaged him and check in was a breeze.
We are definitely talking about booking again when it's a long weekend and during good weather so we can take advantage of the firepit and deck outside.

We found the stay to be very pleasant. The Beds were very comfortable! The owners were very helpful and responsive! We liked having the pool table and dart board to use. The yard space would provide plenty of room in the summer for a large gathering like Reunion etc. would be perfect for the out of town fisherman .

We enjoyed staying at the property. It is comfortable and clean. It is not directly on the lake. It is across the street. We knew this when we reserved but we thought we would be able to see the lake or walk across the street to see it but you can’t. Even in the winter, the trees prevent views and all of the property across the street is private so you can’t walk over and look either. The field in the back is lovely. Our dogs had a great time running around. We had snow so we didn’t use the deck but I’m sure it’s wonderful in better weather. The shower on the main floor was under renovation but otherwise, everything is in working order.

Rustic and unpretentious. Great spot from which to tour the covered bridges. Enjoyed the small town vibe of Conneaut.

We really enjoyed our stay. It's a very nice property with plenty of yard with a fire pit for those evening fires with family. We also liked the location which was a close drive to Conneaut, Ashtabula and not very far from Geneva on the Lake.

My wife and I stayed four nights at The Lodge.
- Pre-arrival coordination was excellent. Terri texted me the access code to the garage door with further entrance guidance.
- Butch met us at The Lodge at 5pm (our pre-determined arrival time) and showed us around the estate and ensured we had the WiFi access code.
- WiFi connectivity was strong and uninterrupted.
- Fire Stick television services (MAG TV) was excellent.
- The gas stove and oven worked great. We baked chicken breasts one evening for dinner, while making a casserole another night. We ate out at local restaurants the other two nights.
- The kitchen has sufficient pots, pans, grilling utensils, plates, and glassware.
- The refrigerator is large and handled all our needs. We bought $2 ice trays at Walmart as my wife likes ice in most of her drinks.
- The Lodge has a large garage under the large patio located off the dining room.
- The aforementioned patio is huge – definitely enough area for 15-20 people to comfortably relax.
- The two bedrooms each had portable air conditioners. Temperatures were in the mid-80s our first day – the AC unit in the bedroom we used was integral to having a comfortable night. The AC units provide some cooling to the living room/kitchen/dining room, but not much. The ceiling fans in the latter rooms were great.
- The bed in the bedroom we used (off the living room) was comfortable, firm but yet conforming to the body.
- We only used the upstairs bathroom – we didn’t use the downstairs bathroom. The bathroom toilet worked well, sink had quick hot water, and the shower also had quick hot water.
- Besides the two bedrooms with queen beds in each, there is a sleeper sofa and futon in the upstairs living room, as well as downstairs family room.
- My wife and I used the pool table and dart board one evening. The billiard table is in great condition with relatively new pool cues to use. The dart board has the shooting distance marked on the floor and comes with a scoring board standard for playing cricket.
- The Lodge has a gas grill in the backyard – we didn’t use it.
- The Lodge has a nice fire pit with a half dozen or so chairs located along a garage located in the backyard. We had a great fire one evening.
- The location of The Lodge serves as a great hub to spoke out from. My wife and I visited Madison, Geneva on the Lake, and Ashtabula – rarely more than a 30-minute drive to any desired location.
We'd definitely stay here again!

Plenty of room for a large group, older lake cottage decor (which we prefer) very well maintained, the backyard/field is beautiful.
Every meal in town was very good. We would definitely stay there again.

Bad weather outside but inside offers a lot
We didn't book our stay expecting good weather in March. We did did a few hours of sunshine to hit the dog park and a few thrift stores. The rental itself offers lots on the inside upstairs sitting and dining areas. Downstairs pool table and movie viewing area. Lots of viewing options without using your app log ins. Definitely a place to book again when the weather is more coolerative.

Perfect stay
Everything was clean and neat. The owner was always on top of replying and made sure the driveway was plowed. They met up with us for check in and showed us around. Check out rules were precise which helped us because we didn’t have to figure out what to do with dirty things. They even were willing to allow us to leave later than checkout time when asked.
