DESCRIPTION: Located on State Park Road, close to everything, yet peaceful and quiet, is Cherry Creek Retreat - the perfect lakefront getaway! This home offers a small sanctuary in the woods and on the water. Spend your mornings on the deck soaking in the sun and spend your afternoons on the water enjoying all that the lake has to offer. Go hiking in the State Park or hang out on the sandy beach just a mile down the road. Take in the breathtaking sunsets of Deep Creek or lay out in the yard, on the deck, or on the dock and star gaze! On colder nights sit around the stone fireplace in the main living room while watching movies and reminiscing about the days adventures and planning for all the ones you'll have tomorrow! ACCESS DETAILS: This property comes with split lake access and a private dock slip located on the property. Please note that docks are only guaranteed from Memorial Day through Labor Day. The house was amazing. Location was great. Only downside was it is listed as having a hot tub and when we arrived it was “closed for winterizing”? Our stay was in late June…? Other than that would highly recommend this property

Overall, this house well accommodated our family (7 adults and 1 infant). Plenty of bedrooms and space in the bedrooms for everyone. The living area was tight for all of us with the main kitchen table only able to seat 7 people and was in tight quarters. Generally, the house was clean but definite cosmetic issues can be seen throughout (scratches to drywall, deck needs to be cleaned, 2 outdoor chairs broken). The location and dock were definitely a plus as it was quiet and we were able to enjoy a private dock easily!

We had such a good time at Brian's place in Kennebunk. Cozy house, great yard and the hot tub was a huge bonus. Thank you!!!!

Loved the quiet location next to the state park. The dock was perfect for all of us, kids and adults. The kitchen was very well equipped. A very comfortable home overall.

The dock area was perfect for swimming and boating. There are a lot of stairs at the house and to the dock.

Our family had an amazing week in this house. Location on the lake is great and the proximity to the state park was convenient. Only thing worth noting is the climb up from the water to the house. The hill is steep and can be challenging for the older and younger members of the family. Overall, great property!

Incredible cabin! We will be back
It was a wonderful stay and we couldn’t say more about the property, the amenities, the cleanliness, everything! We will want to come back to this cabin every single year. It was really cozy and just perfect. Only trouble was communication with management. We had communicated with them and asked for a late check out but somewhere on their end that was not implemented and cleaners showed up before we were ready to get out. However due to the error they gave us time to clean up be pack up and all is well :)

It was an OK stay due to power outage
Property was good as advertised but we had power outage for almost the whole day. Not recommended.

Our family had a very enjoyable time at Cherry Creek Retreat. The location is close to many activities including the State Park beach, the Nature Center, and easily-accessible hiking trails. The house had a wonderful and spacious deck, with great views from the large windows throughout the house. The hot tub was clean, well-maintained, and in a wonderful and relaxing setting. The kitchen was well-equipped with dishes, pots, pans, and utensils; everything we needed to make some great meals. We did find the outdoor grill too small for the size of the house. It made it difficult to efficiently cook for our family of eleven. We found swimming in the lake to be a bit of a challenge due to the heavy boat traffic. The cove was full of partying boaters, so if you like quiet this may not be the place for you in July. However, our family enjoyed our time at Cherry Creek Retreat and made some very special memories there.

Our group of 8 college roommates stayed here for our annual Deep Creek trip. The house is great. We loved sitting on the dock enjoying the beautiful view of the lake. We used the fire pit in the evening and sat on the front deck each day. This is a great house. The location and amenities are wonderful. We can’t wait to return next year!

This house had everything we needed for a getaway weekend close to a ski report. It was about a 12 minute drive over the Wisp and many restaurants. House was cleaned and organized. It had multiple forms of entertainment (games, tvs, puzzles, hot tub, etc.)

We had just a few issues. The beds were squeaky and the sheets uncomfortable. There were a few doors that needed repair, one sliding door to the outside and a shower door. The hot tub did not have enough water to accommodate all the jets.

We knew the weather at this time of year would be dicey so we wanted a place they would could enjoy inside and outside. The fire pit was great and the comfy couch was perfect for vegging out on the rainy/snowy days. We also felt very comfortable with the precautions that were taken because of the pandemic. The contactless check-in was smooth and the house was spotless. The only issues were the hot tub cover was torn and broken when we arrived (not an issue because we weren't going to use the hot tub anyway) and the upstairs shower would not stop dripping (more annoying than anything).

Excellent property and has everything
We had a wonderful time at this property. Plenty of inside space, dishes/cookware plenty, beds are awesome, decks and hot tub, fire pit all excellent. Terrific fireplace inside also and games. Very comfortable and had a wonderful time.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at this property. Exceptionally clean, nicely furnished and lots of room. The furniture is very nice, comfortable and all the beds have high quality mattresses. The location was very nice and close to everything. Check in/out process was a breeze with the code so you don’t have to coordinate with key pick up. While we didn’t realize the lake front was across the street, it was a very short walk and having a private dock made up for it. The only disappointment was that there was not a fire pit and patio chairs on the back deck as advertised in the photos. This would have been a nice feature to take advantage of the cool nights. This should be updated for future renters. The house next door is under construction so we were a little concerned when we saw tools and a toilet out in the yard however it wasn’t a problem at all and they didn’t start working until mid-day. It should be noted that trash pick up doesn’t include recycling but there is a recycling center very close to drop your recycling off instead of throwing it away. If in the area again we would definitely rent this property again. The lake is gorgeous! So relaxing! House is beautiful! Rental was easy!

Had a great time at Cherry Creek Retreat. The house provided lots of room for adults and children. The house was well furnished and comfortable. We cooked in often and the well stocked kitchen had everything we needed. The location was great and provided just enough lake view through the trees to enjoy while drinking morning coffee on the deck. It is a very short drive to the State Park swimming area and close to stores and restaurants. Because it's a split entry,there are a lot of stairs, inside and out, which the young adults and children didn't mind but I admit my knees complained a little! Over all a great time and would return again.

The place was legit good! Exactly as described but looked even better in person even had a Christmas tree and lights up. Everything was clean and tidy, completely stocked kitchen, comfortable beds, nice decor. The location is not too far from town approx 10min drive with snow to the market. Service was great too! I had a question on how to work the gas fireplace and they sent someone right over to get it going for us. I would highly recommend this rental. We will definitely be coming back again next year.

Our family had an amazing time at The Lake in this amazing rental home. We have rented various homes over the years and this one was by far our favorite. Upon arrival, It was immaculate and clean with a nice surprise of a christmas tree in the family room! The home is wonderfully cozy- sofas and beds are very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you could need while away from home. We would absolutely come back again. :)

We just rented the Cherry Creek Retreat for the weekend. What a truly stunning location a few yards from the lake with a spectacular sunset view on a very quiet street. The tasteful design made one feel welcome from the outset. The property was clearly beautifully renovated with hardwoods theoughout, panoramic windows at treee line, and a brand new hot tub which we enjoyed with super moon shining down from above. The house easily slept 15 with more than spacious accommodations. The centerpiece of the property was the cathedral ceiling in the main living quarters with a field stone fireplace and beautiful barn wood mantel. Truly the home and location made a weekend feel even longer as the rest and recuperation achieved was fantastic.
