Sleeps 4 adults With beautiful ocean views and the beach just steps from the front door, this Pacific Grove home is truly a bay lover’s dream come true. The 1,039 sf, 2-bedroom, 2-bath cottage is a few minutes’ walk from the Monterey Bay Recreation Trail and Andy Jacobson Park, and is within easy walking distance of the Monterey Bay Aquarium and Cannery Row as well as a variety of restaurants on Pacific Grove’s Central Avenue. Downtown Pacific Grove is just a 5-minute car ride away, and 15 minutes to either charming Carmel-by-the-Sea or golfing and dining in Pebble Beach®. The flower-covered home, originally built in 1925, has been enlarged and updated to create light-filled rooms that mix colorful vintage and contemporary furnishings. Hardwood bamboo floors throughout the main level unify the open floor plan that includes a kitchen, living room and dining area. Original artwork, large windows and skylights give a bright, casual ambiance to the home, where a cozy living rooms offers comfortable leather furniture, a gas fireplace with tile surround, and a 48-inch HDTV, the perfect place for the family to hang out, talk, or play games. The pet-friendly home also features an outdoor patio surrounded by a vine-covered wooden fence for privacy, with outdoor seating and a gourmet gas grill to make afternoon barbecues a snap. Geraniums, bougainvillea and lavender can be found in the outdoor spaces. The kitchen features granite countertops, a double oven, gas stovetop, custom tile backsplash, and double sink. Counter seating is available for two as well as vintage diner-style table with six seats, which is surrounded by floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the patio. Bedrooms and Bathrooms A staircase leads to the loft-style primary bedroom suite, which has views of the Monterey Bay through large west-facing windows. The carpeted room features a private balcony with seating for two, built-in bookcases filled with books on local history and nature, as well as a king bed, HDTV, large closets, and original artwork. A deep jetted tub with custom tile and a hand-painted sink can be found in the en suite bath. The tub has a hand-held shower wand great for rinsing but is not a completely enclosed shower unit. Bedroom #2, located on the lower level, features a queen bed, a comfortable recliner and a peek of the bay. The adjacent bathroom includes a pedestal sink and a glass shower. The home includes a stacked washer and dryer, and parking is available on the street for up to two vehicles. Well-behaved dogs are welcome with pre-approval, an additional pet fee and a signed pet addendum. This vacation home is professionally managed by Sanctuary Vacation Rentals. The kaleidoscopic Pacific Ocean is half a block from the front door of this cozy art filled house. In the morning a dozen or more Sea Otters catch and eat their breakfast so close you can hear the crunching. The home is very charming and nice and the street quiet.

The home was clean and welcoming upon arrival. Everything worked. A small button on the dishwasher came off but still worked. The controls for the TV weren't exactly as stated in the directions but we figured it out. Very pleasant and quiet at night.

We had a wonderful stay at Pelican Peaks. The two bedroom cottage was perfect for our family of three. The interior was upgraded, clean, cozy, and well laid out. The property is 3/4 blocks from the ocean; you can hear the smoothing waves breaking from the bedrooms. We did not cook, but did notice a full kitchen with a complete set of pots/pans, appliances (water heater, crockpot, blender, etc.), drinkware (wine, water, coffee mugs, etc.), silverware, tupperware, very modern microwave/oven, and a new refrigerator. Not that it was expected or required, except for salt and pepper no condiments/cooking oil/flour/spices etc. is provided; just noteworthy for anyone who plans to cook while staying. Location-wise, the property is very close to the ocean and 5 minute walk to both the historical part of Pacific Grove as well as the newer downtown. There is no dedicated parking on the property, but we have never had problems parking on the street in front of the property. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals was very professional, communicative, and very easy to work with.

This lovely place is just steps away from everything: the ocean, the aquarium, the local knit shop, Cannery Row....the parking is easy so all you need do is unload and enjoy. Comfy furniture & beds. A wonderful, cozy place with the ultimate location for access to all things Monterey and Pacific Grove. We were able to spend each day exploring and then "come home" to this adorable house and have dinner together at the table. The kitchen is small but updated and perfect for a family. The porches have enough privacy and still have beautiful views. My son was able to see the ocean while lying down in bed in the mornings. My husband and I took our morning coffee every a.m. down to a bench at the bottom of the hill and just gazed at the ocean and the wildlife going by. The only real issues with the house are the bathrooms. There is one shower which is crazy small and one tub which is large, but has old fixtures. And the king size bed is a futon mattress which is okay for a night or two, but since we stayed for a week, we were quite done with it by the end of the week.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Pelican Peaks. The home is well equipped, and is very close to the Coastal walking trail. The yard is quite small, but pleasant. It was just the two of us, and our labradoodle, so the size of the house was perfect. I wish that some of the windows had screens on them, as the weather was lovely, and perfect for opening the windows to let in some nice fresh air. Unfortunately, we had a few bees who decided to join us as well.

This is a great property. Nice walkable location. The property was clean & everything we had expected. My only criticism would be the mattress in the upstairs bedroom was quite uncomfortable but otherwise we would rent this property again. We had a fantastic trip with our pups!

Quiet Home
This house is in a great location with access to everything. The kitchen is fully equipped and the gardens outside are beautiful. We were disappointed that the jetted tub that was advertised did not function and the master bed is a futon with a foam pad on top of it (not a mattress) it was very uncomfortable. Overall we had a nice stay but would not go back again due to the bed. I had put in 2 calls to the management (that encourages you to reach out with anything) but never received a response back.

Cute, clean & convienient
You can’t beat the location if you’ve got kids and are visiting Monterey. Every morning we walked down the block to the ocean, and then strolled along the bike path a short way to the aquarium and the shops. This place had the best stocked kitchen I’ve seen in years. Family vacation
This was a clean and cozy older home with a lot of charm. The kitchen is upgraded and well stocked with quality tools. We appreciated the chairs and towels for the beach. The location is perfect: walking distance to aquarium and cannery row and a block from bike trails which takes you to lover’s cove in a few minutes.
The downside are the beds/mattresses- very uncomfortable and old and the lack of a proper shower. The shower downstairs is mounted at 4 feet without a hose! You have to sit or crouch to wash your upper body. Small upgrades are needed to make this a perfect home.

We are first time renters and this won’t be our last time. This charming house was more than comfortable and equipped with anything you could possibly need. The location was absolutely perfect for walks to cannery row or lovers point. Would love to rent again in the summer when our temperature here in Palm Springs gets too high! This getaway vacation was to show my sister and brother in law the beautiful Monterey peninsula area. The home in Pacific Grove was the perfect location as it was only a half block away from the ocean. At nite we could hear the ocean and from our bedroom the ocean view in the morning was spectacular. It was perfect as a relaxing and calming atmosphere is what they needed. They are both therapist who treat many of our veterans and th atmosphere here was what they needed to refresh themselves mentally and emotionally. Everything about and in the home excellent and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay.
