Property has everything you need for a great vacation. Beautiful and nice location to the attractions we wanted to see. We traveled with 3 families and each of us had our own floor and bathroom which was nice ! We would come back again if we plan another trip to the hills ! Owner is good with communication which is greatly appreciated! Thanks for a great stay.

The property was great for our ATV trip to the Black Hills. Lots of room for our group of 11 with 7 bedrooms. Mathew was an excellent host and checked on us several times to make sure we had everything we needed!

Right off the Mickelson Trail and in the heart of the Black Hills. Matthew was very attentive to our needs before & during our stay. The cabin doesn’t have a washer/dryer but if needed, he would bring up extra towels, bedding, etc. Plenty of room for our entire group!

This property is in the perfect location for my friends and I to jump right on a ton of great trails! It was the perfect size for our large group and the ladies loved that there was 3 full bathrooms! Matt was very helpful all along the way!

This is a great house in a perfect location for a Black Hills vacation. We were on our way home from 6 nights in Yellowstone and stayed here to break up the drive back to Minnesota and toured Custer State Park again. It just happened to be the Sturgis rally week so it wasn't an ideal tour of the state park (won't make that mistake again). But the property we rented and the property manager Matthew was excellent. We'll for sure be back.

This cabin was very clean and spacious. We had 14 people total and had plenty of room. The location is also wonderful - close to Hill City but plenty of privacy and scenery. The big yard was a huge plus for the kids and we enjoyed having a fire too. The property manager, Matthew was extremely helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend this place. We will be back for our next Black Hills family reunion.

We love finding houses that can accommodate our family - Nana, Papa, 3 adult children, their spouses and kids. A total of 15 people.
This Black Hills cabin was perfect. Plenty of room and manager Matt went above and beyond standard service. If the opportunity presents itself, we will definitely stay again.

property seemed a little dated compared to the photos, but it was nice. We would definitely book again. The hose outside made it nice to clean out our radiators after a long day riding the dusty trails. No washer and dryer - so plan for that. Kitchen was pretty well equipped but no 9x13 baking pan.

This house is a great place in a quite part of South Dakota. It is approximately 10 minutes into the forest from Hill City. We used it as a "Basecamp" while we visited Mount Rushmore, Jewel and Wind Cave, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Wall, The Badlands, Deadwood, and Devils Tower. The property management was kind, helpful and responsive. The house was clean and cozy. The hot tub was great and the fire pit was a hit. Be aware...NO WASHER AND DRYER and THE CELL RECEPTION AND WIFI ARE ALMOST NON-EXISTENT. Also, as with most "cabins". The floors are very creaky at night and you can hear every toilet flush and shower being taken. Five ⭐'s. We will be back!

House was as listed and had good room for 3 generations of family. Everything provide so only needed food and our clothing.
Right on the Mickelson trail. Weather could have been better but not the fault of the property. Would rent again.

We enjoyed our stay. The kids loved the hot tub.

This was a great house for our family Christmas. The living area and kitchen is a bit small for all the people we had. There are bedrooms and bathrooms on all 3 floors which is nice. The house and its furnishings are a bit dated. There are not a lot of utensils for cooking and gas grill is in need of repair. Matt was always there to help me other anything we asked. The hot tub was enjoyed by adults and children. It would be a great place in the summer because there is lots of space to enjoy the outdoors around the cabin and the Mickelson trail is right out the front door!

We all were just amazed at the house and everything. Even the drive thru the countryside to the house was great. Made some great retirement party photos. I'm sure the summertime stay would over the top fun for everyone. We would recommend to anyone.

This was the perfect landing zone for our Mt. Rushmore trip with family. We loved the hot tub, theater room, and especially the surrounding area. It was fun to go out and pet the horses as well as take a walk on the trail located just next to the cabin. The owners were very kind and made sure the lights and the heat were on when we checked in as it was late when we arrived and they made sure to come meet us and see if we were in need of anything. Everyone was very kind and the entire place was very clean. Highly suggest this place for families wanting to enjoy time together.

We had a group of 13 people, a dog, five trucks/trailers and 7 SxS, and there was plenty of parking and plenty of living space. We rode from the cabin each day, doing a mix of trail riding and sight seeing, then hung out each night at the cabin. We enjoyed the fire pit and the hot tub. The hosts were onsite, super accessible, and attentive. I’d highly recommend staying here.

Matthew and Larry were so accommodating and friendly. The property is spacious and well-equipped. Close to Hill City and several National Forest attractions. It is nestled on a horse ranch where the views are incredible. Less than 200 feet from the gorgeous bike trail, too. Definitely recommend.

Our family had the best time staying at the McCaskell house. The owners were very welcoming and easy to get a hold of. We had a fully equipped kitchen, we cooked breakfast and supper. There was plenty of room for our families needs, definitely quiet and cozy. We weren’t far from Hill City, which has a great grocery store with a lot of options. The hot tub was great and the movie room was a lot of fun (bring some of your favorite DVD’s and try it out). We saw lots of wild life. We got to see the horses run across the property. During our stay we went to Hot Springs, Mount Rushmore, spent a day in Deadwood. Plan to stay here again and bring the atv or dirt bike to ride on the local trails.
