Situated in San Marco, this charming condo for R 5,563 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The apartment is part of a patrician palace presumably dating back to 1300, formerly the seat of the Doge Marcello family. For several centuries it has been owned by my family and only 40 years ago it has been renovated and divided into apartments. It is located in an absolutely enviable and strategic position a few steps from the Rialto Bridge and Piazza San Marco. It maintains many of its original beautiful and characteristic architectural elements: the verdant private garden with the characteristic well and the water door, the imposing wooden entrance door to the garden. Inside the apartment, the high ceilings of over 5 meters with gothic trifora windows and the beautiful "Sansovino" coffered ceiling stand out. The apartment occupies part of the original ancient library and the dining room of the old building. The house is equipped with effective air conditioning. In the living room, under the mezzanine, two large sofas (one of which is a double bed), a small table and a large flat-screen TV, offer a pleasant relaxation area. The dining area, under the large windows, is part of the living room. Everything is pleasantly decorated with antiques. On the mezzanine, above the sofa area, there is a bedroom with a queen-size bed, a single bed, a baby bed and a wardrobe. The kitchen is perfectly equipped and functional, there is a table for breakfast or informal meals. The main bathroom has a bathtub with shower, two sinks, toilet and bidet. Stairs lead from the entrance corridor to the bright main bedroom with half-moon windows. The master bedroom has a small bathroom with sink and toilet. Completely renovated with a mix of modern sensitivity and respect for original details, Palazzo Notarbartolo will offer its guests a unique and unforgettable experience in Venice! Tenants are provided with bed linen and towels; the cleaning service is provided only at the end of the stay for short periods, for periods longer than a week the price includes a cleaning service and change of linen. The tourist tax of € 4.00 per person / night (up to 5 nights) is payable in cash on arrival. Children up to 10 years do not pay, young children from 10 to 16 pay 50%.

We stayed for 3 nights and wish it had been longer in Venice. The city itself is spectacular and so easy and interesting to explore.
We all loved the apartment, contact with Giacinta was easy and Francesco was so helpful. We caught a water taxi from the train station and to the airport and was such a simple process. Francesco met us and showed us the apartment and how everything worked
Apartment is in a great position, Venice is such a walkable city ,getting to the major tourist sites takes no time and also able to explore less touristy areas. Getting a few streets from the tourist sites was so worthwhile.
My teens loved the property, the garden is beautiful and the set up made life so easy. Good wifi and comfortable.
Good kitchen, which we didn’t use as much as we planned as Venetian food too good to ignore.
Would happily stay here again.

This lovely place was the perfect arrangement for our stay in Venice. The two bedrooms gave us plenty of room to have personal space. The living room and dining room provided a space to relax each day after a busy time seeing the site. Andrea was the perfect host and was in touch from before the trip and during to make sure we had everything we needed and answer any questions we had. The location was away from the crowds and close to groceries, restaurants and personal water taxi. I would definitely stay here again!!!👍👍👍👍👍

From beginning to end our stay in Venice was excellent. Communication was seamless, and our arrival was so easy with Andrea meeting us where the water taxi landed. He gave us really great advice and helped by making our first dinner reservation. The location of our "home" was perfect for us. Not far away from anything, but a beautiful oasis that we loved coming back to. I would definitely stay here again.

Spent a wonderful two nights at this lovely and spacious home on a quiet yet perfectly located central street in Venice. The apartment was very clean and well equipped. The entire procedure, from submitting request for dates to check out was seamless. Francesco was so very helpful in getting us to the apartment and giving us some local advice for restaurants and taxi service. The only downside was that the lovely garden was not open to us to sit and drink some wine or coffee, which was unfortunate as the garden was one of the reasons I chose the apartment. Will definitely stay there on my next trip to Venice.

The apartment is a true gem in the heart of Venice. We'd go back in a heartbeat and can't recommend it highly enough. The property manager, Andrea, was hugely helpful - even coming to meet us when we managed to get a little lost on the way from the station.
If you do book, be sure to ask Giacinta about her friend who does boat tours of the Venetian lagoon. We're so glad we took up this offer.

Andrea was extremely helpful during our 3 night stay. It was our first time in Europe let alone navigating Venice. He helped us to quickly navigate and assisted in a memorable gondola ride during the regatta with front row water access to the overwhelming event

My communication with Andreas was pleasant and informative. He quickly answered my long list of questions. Fantastic communication! When we arrived in Venice, Francesco guided us to the property using WhatsApp. Yes, we were lost even using the map and private water taxi! The property’s entrance is a door that leads to the courtyard and it’s directly on the street. The accommodations are lovely and there’s everything you will need for your stay. The beds were comfy, the a/c works and the shower has great pressure. There was very little noise at night. I would highly recommend this property and the property managers!!

The apartment is so charming, and in a lovely neighborhood. It was easy to find because of the nearby campo santa maria and felt like a short walk to everything. I loved being behind a door and a courtyard as it was nice to escape from the crowds.
There were 2 of us in the apartment and it was perfect for us. Air conditioning was amazing, apartment was very clean and it made me think of my Italian grandma! Some people have mentioned the mattresses are firm, and they are, but that is common in Europe and after a day of walking around Venice, I thought they were fine and I like a softer mattress. It's unusual to find a place to stay that feels like you are really in a home and this place was like that.

Truly a little hidden gem in a gem of a city. The property courtyard is magical, and when you enter the apartment you feel like you have stepped into a fun little Venetian story.
The apartment has all of the Venetian charms, plus modern amenities. Also, there is a great little grocery store just steps from the front door, which is really convenient.
Host and owner were lovely and helpful, we wish we would have stayed longer. We would definitely stay here again.

The apartment is spacious and lovely and is in an excellent location. Francesco was easy to reach and allowed us to drop our bags at the apartment early when we arrived before the apartment was ready. A nearby grocery store was quite convenient and allowed us to enjoy breakfast at the apartment. (The kitchen was well-stocked, which is not always the case at similar places!)
Our one minor issue was that the manager contacted us and told us we needed to leave a day early. This was a mistake and easily resolved, but it did cause us a few moments of panic during our vacation! It was not a perfect experience, but we would certainly stay here again.

We loved our stay at Palazzo Notarbartolo. It's in a great location in Venice that's easily between the Alilaguna and main areas of the city. We enjoyed being able to rest and relax at our apartment during the afternoon after spending most of our day hiking across the city. One of the highlights of the place was the interior garden to the complex as soon as you open the front door. It provides instant serenity and shade from the city heat and busyness. We would come back again.

This apartment was so beautiful, just relaxing at is enhanced the vacation experience. We didn't end up using much in the way of dishes and miscellaneous, but the washer/dryer was a fabulous little invention that did BOTH tasks in one hour. I was impressed. I'd definitely recommend the home.

This is lovely home with lots of original details and furnishings so you feel as if you are visiting close family rather than a hotel.
The courtyard is a beautiful green space. We would have liked to have table and chairs available to sit out with a bottle of wine to enjoy part of the day away from the crowds.

Andrea met us at the water taxi and escorted us to the property. He was available whenever we had a question or needed anyhing. He also arranged for a water taxi for us when we checked out. The apartment was just as described. It was very nice and clean. If I ever go back to Venice, I will stay at this property again. I also highly recommend a guided tour of Venice from Andrea if available. He really added to our experience of Venice.
