Moonwaters is the most romantic getaway, overlooking Wilson Inlet on Weedon Hill. This cedar clad cottage sits amongst the Karri forest where a path leads to the Bibbulmun Track and a beautiful inlet beach. Moonwaters is simple yet has all the modern comforts for a family or couple. If you are seeking romantic seclusion it is perfect. There are three bedrooms, living and dining rooms, a bathroom with bath and a well-equipped kitchen. Chilly winter holidays can be spent bushwalking or at home by the pot belly stove with the piano, DVDs, free WIFI and Netflix to keep you entertained. You can barbeque amongst the trees to the sounds of the forest. Keep an eye out for the myriad of birds that will visit if an offering is made. About 3kms from Denmark town on Weedon Hill, Moonwaters is ideally situated to visit beaches, wineries and other local attractions. Moonwaters has a main bedroom with a queen sized bed, built in robe, bedside tables and a chest of drawers, another bedroom with a double bed and a third bedroom with twin single beds. All linen and towels are supplied. There are two rates: The high season covers school holidays including Easter and Christmas and New Year and all public holiday weekends. All other times are classified as low season. If you have friendly and well trained pets you are welcome to bring them along, however, we would appreciate it if you didnt allow them on the beds and furniture. A cleaning surcharge of $35 will apply to all approved pets that stay at Moonwaters. Located in a stunning setting, it had everything we needed for our stay. Nice and cozy. We did have an issue but the communication with the owner was quick and was sorted out satisfactorily. It was also great to stay in a nice home with our dog.
We would definitely stay again.

great location amongst the Karri trees & far enough away from town to feel in the bush. Good local walks & rides, great to have availability for our pet dog.
Had a great rest over the week.
Just needing a few repairs - wardrobe door, a couple of outdoor chairs, exhaust fan not working.

Good budget stay with great views of the inlet!
Overall good place to stay, close enough to town but far enough to feel you're away. Place is getting abit tired and could do with a attention.

We throughly enjoyed our 1 week stay. Being in the middle of nature and near the lake was absolutely beautiful. Very relaxing and peaceful. Could do with a little TLC but overall we would still recommend. Thank you

Our stay at Moonwater Holiday Cottage was exceptional! The location of the property was beautiful and peaceful. We spent most of our time sitting on the wooden deck and taking in the views of the bush and inlet. Waking up to the sounds of the birds was a highlight. The house was stocked with lots of firewood and was super cosy. We would definitely stay here again and would recommend this property to our family and friends!

Views were spectacular and nice to walk down to the water. Quite windy while here but that's to be expected with the arvo seabreeze. Was nice to see and hear the different species of birds visiting the verandah. House was clean and tidy. (Piano was out of tune) The only thing we had misgivings about were the dishes and pans. We pulled out a pan to cook and it hadn't been cleaned, was greasy with bits of dirt. There were a couple of bowls of the same consistency - not all, but we checked everything we used after that.

Moonwaters chalet was amazing and peacefully everything’s you need is there ,great location too.
We had 3 nights break at the chalet coming from family holidays in Bali was so peaceful the birds was singing fantastic cool wealther Very beautiful chalet love to come back and stay longer. Thank you very much for opening up your home we love it 😍 Mylee and Ihsan Balamir

Other than the initial issue with the wrong pin code for key box, the stay was enjoyable. Kitchen was fully equiped, which we made use of each night. Plenty of Tea and coffee available. Only had couple of issues on few cool nights. Glass on Wood Heater fallen down on day 3 and we couldnt use afterwards (reported to Owner). Cottage had backup Oil Heaters for the bedrooms we move to family room. Both units the oil heater warmed up, but no fan operationally to aid to curcular heat.
Oh Bird seed Jar left in Family room. Had variety of birds come the morning and evening for a fed. Magpies get very close up even tap on the glass door for attention and feeding.. Being a pet friendly accommodation we had to keep our small dog in side when feeding birds. Im not a bird person but enjoyed these few occasions.

Great little gem amongst the beautiful trees and forest of Denmark. We loved its tranquillity and literal doorstep to so many walks. The fire at night was a treat and the gentle morning chatter of birds the perfect start to the day.

Roomy accommodation in a very quiet and peaceful area of Denmark. The outlook from the deck across Wilson Inlet was superb with an amazing symphony of birdsong morning and evening. The accommodation itself is very roomy and rustic although some aspects a little tired. Overall good value for money compared to most other propoerties we looked and especially appreciated it being a dog friendly property so we could bring our fur baby with us. She really appreciated the bush setting and outlook too.

We are a couple in our 50s with three little house trained dogs that don't drop hair (1 Bichon and 2 Havanese).
We booked this place as it allowed dogs and was in a nice location, and had good recent reviews. Cleanliness was mentioned in June by other reviewers. Apparently, this was going to be addressed. But clearly not.
I have photos of the amount of thick dust and dirt. We arrived and there were many dirty/dusty cockroach baits and DampRid containers in every room. Not very dog safe!
I have asthma and allergies, which have been greatly affected by the dirt and dust.
Bar heaters in the main living looked like they were pulled out of a dirty garage after years and not cleaned. Ceiling fans putrid. The amount of dirt and dust under the main bed was repulsive. Wardrobe in main bedroom unusable as full of dirty, old vacuum cleaner, old outdoor furniture and dirty old DampRid containers.
Kitchen cutlery and plates were old. One plate was cracked. Dirty wine glass and pot.
This place has obviously not had a proper clean in years. I think a bare minimum in "cleaning" is done between visitors. New sheets/quick vacuum etc, but I dont think the owner has personally inspected this property in years. If so, they surely could not be happy with the standard of cleanliness.
Fan in bathroom doesn't work.
We have stayed in other places with our dogs, but never this disgusting.

Beautiful location overlooking the inlet with so many wild birds greeting you at the door. It was amazing. The kids just loved feeding them.
The house itself is adorable and small but has everything you need and we had no issues as family of 4 and a husky.
Best part is that was that we could bring the dog. Easy walk of 2 mins to a little secluded beach down the hill at the back of the property was so great.
Town is just the right amount of distance.
I don’t have a bad thing to say about the place we loved it. We do apologise for using nearly all the bird seed though.

The property is great, very peaceful, beautiful view of the water. The property has everything you need. There were just two of us staying but it would be a great option for a small group. We would stay again for sure:

The property is fine albeit overdue for a refresh. The internal walls are very thin so you can hear everything. The log burner was great and the view was stunning.

Lovely quiet retreat amongst the forests, great base from which to explore the beauty of the area, returning to cosy nights by the fire. Everything necessary was provided. Only negative was the lack of cleanliness.

Had a lovely time, the view is great, comfy beds and warm log fire.
We were able to cook all our meals in the fully equipped kitchen.

We had a lovely 3 nights here, the location is beautiful, the photos don’t do it justice - the balcony and view was great. Dated furniture/basic amenities but that’s what you expect for the price, and it was perfectly comfy. Good internet and smart TV.
An easy 5 min drive into town, nice and private from neighbours. The shower water pressure was amazing - at 7mo pregnant I thought I’d want lots of baths but the bath is teeny tiny, the amazing shower absolutely made up for that haha. We would definitely stay here again.
Some simple suggestions for the owners to consider:
— providing a hair dryer
— providing a floor lamp that could be used to read on the couch in the evening/extend over the table to do a puzzle at night - the overhead lights are quite bright
— pop a power board or extension cord on both sides of main bedroom bed for a couple to each charge their phones!
— salt and pepper grinders! Many coughing fits from ground white pepper haha

Nice quiet location amongst large trees. Would be concerned about a bush fire. Needs instructions and codes to be able to use TV. Would like to know what the service charge is for in the tariff.
