Owner Managed | Laurel Creek Hideaway | Log Cabin | Private Mtn Stream | FirePit
About this cabin rental
This is Laurel Creek Hideaway. Laurel Creek Hideaway is a MASSIVE multi-million-dollar log home built alongside a peaceful mountain stream. Our lodge is just under 5,000 sf in size, and constructed of huge two-foot diameter timbers. There are two huge outdoor decks that wrap around the front, and overlook the mountain stream. Our home can easily accommodate up to 22 people, and is great for kids and the entire family. You will never run out of space at our property. Laurel Creek Hideaway has 3 floor levels, providing you with room to spread out. The property also offers a private, wooded outdoor area, with a wood burning fire pit and charcoal barbecue grills, adjacent to your own private mountain stream. If you are looking to get away from your daily grind, our property will deliver the serenity and peace you need to recharge. By renting one of our cabins you will experience a superior level of quality and service that the large property management companies in the area cannot offer. The reason you ask? We are the actual owners of our cabins, and we personally manage every detail ourselves. My name is Chris. My wife Sarah and I are the owners. The majority of rental cabins in the area are managed by large property managers who have a whole lot to keep up with. Unfortunately, this can lead to a property to fall behind in its care and cleaning. This leads to a poor traveler experience and a lack of personal service. We try to be different. We only own 6 cabins, and that allows us to give more time and attention to our properties. The exceptional quality of our properties and the personal level of service you will receive will leave no doubt in your mind that you made the best choice for your Smoky Mountains vacation. Our cabins are competitively priced for what they offer with their location and amenities. All of our properties provide our guests a sense of privacy, and are not in areas where you will feel intruded on by a neighboring cabin. We may not be the lowest priced cabin you will find, but that is by design. We want to be one of the best, not the absolute cheapest. We want you make long lasting memories that you will cherish for many years into the future. We are always a phone call or text away if you need us at any point after you make your reservation, and during your stay. The last thing you want is to have to chase someone down if you have a question or a problem. Cleaning: We understand cleaning is now more important than ever. Our cleaners are using an enhanced cleaning routine to ensure the property has been thoroughly disinfected prior to your arrival. Our cleaners are using an anti-viral/antibacterial cleaner on all frequently touched surfaces such as counter-tops, door handles, light switches, and other frequently touched surfaces. Our hot tub is drained, scrubbed, refilled with fresh water, and chemicals added between each guest. We hope these extra measures make you feel comfortable during your stay at our cabin. Our sprawling property is ideal for games of hide-and-seek and family BBQs. The walking bridge across the stream leads you to our peaceful stream-side sitting area featuring a wood burning fire pit and two charcoal burning BBQ grills. Our downstairs game room is perfect for keeping the kids and teens busy when grown-ups want some downtime. We have three full size arcade games, a pool table, foosball table, and a corn-hole set to occupy the kids and adults alike. We also have an in-ground basketball goal alongside the driveway to play As the daylight fades, sink into one of our rockers and take in in the mountain laurel-scented surroundings, and watch the sun slowly dip behind the trees. Enjoy cozy nights in front of the fireplace and lazy breakfasts in the fully stocked kitchen. Don't forget to relax for a while in our five person hot tub while enjoying the peacefulness of our property. We named our property "Laurel Creek Hideaway" because it is positioned alongside a peaceful, winding mountain stream that defines this location. Gentle cascades of water flow down the stream as it winds its way along our property. The stream makes its way from behind the lodge, and then winds its way along the side of our decks down the length of our property to the end of the driveway. Enjoy the peace and calming effects of the mountain stream at our cabin. The lodge is also surrounded by beautiful mountain laurels which produce aromatic blooms in early to mid Summer. We have a walking bridge built across the stream that leads to a private wooded area next to the stream. Here you will find a wood burning fire pit and a seating area where you can relax and enjoy nature's beauty. Dip your toes in the stream, and feel free to roast marshmallows and hot dogs on the fire. This area is peaceful, secluded, and serene. You will surely lose track of time as you enjoy the beauty nature has to offer. We have a mixture of open and wooded land totaling just over 2 acres, with the privacy and seclusion you want for you vacation. The driveway and parking area are paved, and there is plenty of room for numerous vehicles to park. You are just a few minutes away from all the action Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge has to offer. If you want to experience Gatlinburg's sight and sounds, but still want the peace and quiet of the mountains, our lodge is a great place to accomplish both. You will be located only minutes from the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. We are close to everything the area has to offer. Entering the main level of the lodge you are greeted straight away by the huge vaulted living area with the grand staircase on your right and the kitchen and formal dining area on the left. This home provided everything we needed and more. The accommodations were great for our large family with plenty of space and entertainment for everyone . It was in a great location making getting around very easy. My only complaint is that it was difficult to regulate the temperature. I would highly recommend this home for a large group gathering.

Great Family Christmas trip. The fire pit was a huge hit with the family. We roasted hot dogs and smores over the fire multiple times.
The cabin was lovely, and had a Christmas tree up and some other decorations. Great stay.

The cabin itself was beautiful. Very large and the perfect size for all of our family members. We were also able to bring our dogs which made things even more accommodating. Chris was very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to the trip. We had a few minor issues with some cleanliness of the cabin. There was pet hair left on one of the beds and the sheets, and we found miscellaneous items that a prior guest must have left laying around and the cleaners never picked up. The Jacuzzi water had the smell of mildew, so it didn’t quite seem like it had been cleaned prior to our arrival or chemicals may have needed to be added. Unfortunately we could not enjoy the fire pit due to fire restrictions and then some rainy days. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything that we needed. The kids loved playing in the game room. My only suggestion would be that the cleaners pay a little more attention to detail. Overall, the cabin was perfect for our family.

We booked our stay months ahead of time, so anticipation was high! From the moment we got there to the minute we left, Laurel Creek Hideaway met our every expectation! It was as if LCH was built for our unique family. Communication with the owners was excellent and prompt for questions ahead of time, but with written explanations of the running of the home and more than adequate essentials provided, there was no need for us to bother them during our stay. The location of the cabin is perfect to visit Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. We wouldn’t change a single thing, and the talk of another visit next year has already begun!

Laurel Creek Cabin is the most beautiful cabin I have stayed in! Chris and Sarah are awesome hosts. Any questions we had were answered in minutes from asking. We had a mini family reunion there and the cabin had plenty of space for adults and children to enjoy. The kitchen is large and well equipped and has a large table for dining. The main level porch is filled with rocking chairs and is a beautiful place to sit and enjoy the cool mountain air. The bedrooms and bathrooms are large and comfortable. If you’re looking for a nice private retreat in the mountains, this is your cabin!

We had a small group of friends to celebrate a 50th bday. The house was perfect for our needs! We were visited daily by bears so it’s no joke about all references in the booking info! The road up to the house feels adventurous, no doubts of being up in the mountains. The house was clean & just as expected other than there isn’t a Mountain View so be aware of that but we did some nature trails where the views were plentiful! I would recommend this property for a group stay! The decks & game room are fabulous hangout spaces.

We stayed at the cabin over the weekend for a basketball tournament and loved it. It was so convenient to the Rocky Top facility. The cabin was impeccably clean and the owners responded quickly to any questions I had. Would definitely recommend and stay here again.

17 family members stayed for 5 days. The house accommodated us all. Love the large dining table, couches were comfortable, beds were comfortable. Hot tub was a hit and so was the fire pit. The only ask I would have for next time would be extra blankets and a sharp kitchen knife. Will stay again

I just want to say if you are looking at this cabin, stop right now and hit the reserve button because I promise you, you will be more than glad you did. Beautiful inside and out! You would think with a rental vacation property you would see something missed, I’m here to tell you nothing and I mean nothing is missed while cleaning, y’all I could not fine dust in anything even the decorations way way up high!! ZERO, this place is big enough for everyone of all ages, I will be back and next time for a whole week!! Amazing experience I have nothing to complain about at all!! Just rent this place !!!

This house was the perfect fit for our group! The kitchen table was large enough to accommodate our entire group for eating, playing games and just sitting around visiting. The living room had plenty of couch space to kick back and watch a movie.. We even got to make a little fire in the fire pit one afternoon. Chris and Sarah do a great job at sending out information regarding your stay. We lost water the first day, due to extreme cold, and Chris had someone over to take care of it that day. It was even Christmas Eve. We would for sure stay at Laurel Creek again!

We stayed at Laurel Creek Hideaway. Our whole group was incredibly impressed with every inch of this property. This cabin and property is beautiful inside and out. I can not emphasize how clean this cabin was(I think I have a touch of OCD for cleanliness). The owners emailed and texted us every single bit of information that we could’ve possibly needed and everything worked and was perfect, so there was no reason for communication on our end, I’d imagine it would’ve been amazing as well. They did text several times during our stay to make sure everything worked and if we had any questions. We have stayed at many cabins in Tennessee, and from here on out, we will only stay one of Chis and Sarah’s cabins(they have 6 different ones) because they definitely know what they are doing! Thank you Chris and Sarah for a amazing vacation!

Great setup for multi family gathering. Every family had their own space and a large family room and kitchen and table space to gather together. Plus plenty to entertain us with pool table and games

We wanted to get our family together for a few days before the holidays. We have 7 children under the age of 7, plus 10 adults. This house had room for everyone. Most importantly for us, the ability to all sit together for meals!! The kitchen was extremely well stocked, there was ample space to gather as a family but to also spread out and have our own space as needed. There was plenty of parking and the outdoor decks were fantastic. The only thing to be aware of is the 1.5 miles coming in to the house off the main road. It’s a narrow, winding, typically-Gatlinburg road which can be a challenge in the dark or in poor weather conditions. Overall, a wonderful experience!

30 years of visiting the Smokies, in tents, campers and cabins, this is hands down the best place we’ve stayed! Perfect place for our annual fall family vacation. Morning gatherings at the breakfast table and night caps at the fire pit bookended our days hiking in the National Park. Add a unique bear story and this will go down as our most memorable trip ever!
From location to cleanliness to communication with the owner, excellent marks across the board. We’ll definitely return!
Thank you, Chris & Sarah!

Laurel Creek is a beautiful gem in the mountains in Gatlinburg. High up on the mountain, tucked away in a secluded spot, with a stream beside it. The house is the ultimate Lincoln Log house on steroids dream retreat. 5 master suits, all beautiful and comfortable. A kitchen that seats an army. Plenty of space to be together, or, when you need a little quiet time, plenty of space to call your own. We had our extended family, grandparents, children, and grandchildren. We lacked nothing to do, we were close enough to Gatlinburg that it wasn't far away to go visit. The Mama Bear and her 2 cubs were a plus! Sitting on the massive porch with rocking chairs for all was a great place to listen to the rain storm one night --- beautiful. Highly recommend!

We stayed at the cabin for a week with our four kids, their spouses and our 8 grandkids ranging from 1 to 9 years old and we never felt on top of each other. The 5 bedrooms each had their own full bathrooms and all of the bedrooms were spread out among the three floors. The Cabin was spacious, clean and perfect. The upper porch had 10-12 rocking chairs that the entire family used every night together. The best part was seeing almost daily, a momma bear and her three cubs walking through the property. It was AMAZING. I have the best pictures and video of the bear cubs playing with each other and doing summersaults down the hill. So cute! This cabin was decorated so cute and had everything you would want. It was one of the best vacations the family has ever taken!

This is a beautiful mountain home that is true to the pictures on the website. It is well located to the surrounding attractions and it is perfect if you just want to hang out and enjoy the natural beauty. The on-site creek is a real asset and there is so much to do. The video arcades downstairs are great for any age along with foos ball and pool. TV’s in each room work well with Dish connectivity. Was really pleased with the quality of the internet in a mountain location. Kitchen is great and has everything needed. We spent a full week with 12 family members and we had room to get together easily and had plenty of room throughout the home. Really special place.

End of School Year trip with young teens
Had a lovely time at Laurel Creek, big roomy cabin, large kitchen, lots of bedrooms with their own full baths…teens loved the basketball hoop and played pool for hours every night. Made s’mores by the fire pit next to the running creek, played cornhole on the big porch, made big breakfasts and dinners in the large kitchen, everything you could need was there. Only hiccup for us was lack of cell service, which just is what it is in those hills and valleys, there is a land line to use, and the satalite Wi-Fi would occasionally go in and out…it didn’t cause any major issues for us, and it was actually a bit of a blessing to have 5 young teens play pool and board games together rather than stream YouTube on their phones.
