Chalet in forest sleeps 6
About this cabin rental
Welcome to our cozy cabin, perfect for small families seeking a Yellowstone getaway! If you share our love for the outdoors and log cabins, you're in for a treat. Inside, you'll find two brand new, ultra-comfortable queen beds and a lovely sleeper sofa for a restful night's sleep. Step outside, and you'll be immersed in a forested wonderland, teeming with adventure. Whether you're into hiking, river floating, or exploring ATV/UTV trails, there's something here for everyone. We'll provide a handy trail map, or feel free to download it to your smart device for convenience. Don't miss the charming Johnny Sacks Cabin, a must-see tourist spot just a short 5-minute drive away. Yellowstone is a mere 25-35 minute drive from here, offering hours of awe-inspiring sightseeing and wildlife observation. Our cabin sits on a spacious acre lot, sharing the land with another charming cabin next door. Tucked away at the end of the road, surrounded by national forest, it's a wonderfully private space for you and your loved ones. The expansive back patio wraps around a significant portion of the cabin, with a cozy fire pit just below. Inside, you'll find a master bedroom with a new queen bed, dresser, closet, and a full bathroom. The loft boasts another comfy queen bed, a dresser, and a cozy sitting area. The kitchen is fully equipped with a gas stove, electric oven, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and even a 12-cup drip coffee maker. A convenient half bathroom and brand new washer and dryer are located on the main level. The living room, adorned with gleaming hardwood floors, features two brand new, super comfy leather chairs and a sofa sleeper that comfortably accommodates 2-3 guests. Make the most of the great outdoors! Whether it's strolling down to the river, lounging on the deck, or gathering around the campfire, the natural beauty here is truly breathtaking. Most nights, the starry sky is a sight to behold. Feel free to make yourselves at home in the entire cabin (or both, if both are booked). We're here for you, ready to assist via text or in person if needed. We provide our number for easy communication. The river is just a short five-minute walk downhill, offering a refreshing spot to cool off or access from the boat launch. For a leisurely 20-minute float, you can start here and end up at Macks Inn a bit further down the river. We often spot moose during these floats, adding an extra touch of magic to your experience. For more local attractions, peruse the Chalet In The Forest welcome book on the cabin's table. Feel free to bring your own tube or kayak, or rent one in town—we can recommend some excellent options nearby. You'll find ample space and parking for your vehicles (please note, we don't provide trailer hook-ups). When heading out on hikes, we advise carrying bear spray, water, and a camera for safety and unforgettable memories. If you have some spare time, geocaching is a delightful activity to explore on your way to various destinations. Check out the free app online for a memorable experience. During the summer season, we recommend a visit to West Yellowstone for shopping and delightful dining. Island Park also offers some fantastic eateries, and we'll happily share our favorite spots via a detailed email with helpful links (these resources are a true gem). Please keep in mind that our cabin/chalet is one of two on the property, located side by side. While you may have some wonderful neighbors, rest assured that your stay remains private, with plenty of parking available. Our guests are always friendly and respectful, adding to the warm atmosphere. We can't wait to welcome you to this idyllic retreat!

In celebration of my upcoming milestone birthday we decided to visit Yellowstone National Park. The cabin affords solitude and comfort on a large wooded lot and is conveniently located within 25 minutes of the west entrance to the park. The cabin was a welcoming reprieve after a day in the park….gas grill for cooking dinner and a fire pit for after dinner cocktails. Did I mention solitude? We highly recommend and look forward to visiting again! Thanks Teara for a wonderful stay! It will be a birthday long remembered! 🍷

Great place to stay!
Nice rustic cabin with modern updates. Off the beaten path, but still close to all services. The outdoor area with a fire pit is great!

Comfortable and accommodating for my group of 5. The 2 beds were comfortable as was the pull out bed. The Cabin was clean and the kitchen had lots of cookware available to use, the washer and dryer were an added convenience. Nice patio sitting area with chairs to set around camp fire. Firewood was stacked and ready by the fire pit and the cabin had a good set of s'more sticks.

Far away from metropolis life, cool summer nights, quiet and relaxing. We enjoyed central location which maximized our time allowing daily exploration of different sites of interest.
Great hostist, strongly recommended for vacation get away.

Our family rented the Chalet in the Forrest and the Little Chalet for a large family vacation. We had a magical time in Island Park seeing all the sites. Truly, you do not even have to leave the area to have a full week of entertainment. The cabins were cozy and stocked with all the things we could imagine. Sitting outside on the deck was a peaceful way to enjoy our mornings! There were many trails nearby to take a walk in nature and ride four wheelers or side by sides. The wild life is plenty. We saw many beautiful birds, large fish, moose, elk, and deer. We enjoyed Big Springs, Johnny Sacks Cabin, calm and relaxing river floats, Mesa Falls, Sawtelle look out(Wow! You really are on top of the world), the trails, and history near the cabin. We even spent a day in West Yellowstone, drove to see Earthquake Lake (this was a cool experience), and spent time in Yellowstone. We highly recommend and will for sure return to stay in these beautiful cabins. Andy and Teara have taken such care to ensure their guests are comfortable, accommodated, and know all the best things to see! The blog on their website provides a white glove look into all the things to see! Thank you both so much!

The Chalet was very comfortable. The beds were great and the outdoor living space was nice. The kitchen was very modern with good quality appliances. The internet was a little slow but we weren’t there to watch TV. Overall a very nice visit. Close enough to West Yellowstone and the west entry to the park.

The chalet in the woods was AMAZING!
This cabin was nestled away in the little town of Island Park! It had all the amenities and was more then enough room for our family of 6. The WiFi was super nice when most of the day you have no service when traveling to Yellowstone and around! We had an awesome stay and would/will stay again when we are ready for another long road trip!
