About this house rental
Casual chic, “farmhouse rustic” meets “beach retreat” home in the Northwest Woods area of East Hampton. It was important for me to find a house that actually felt like a respite; a space to arrive to. This private and sought-after property, tucked behind winding roads and abutting a nature preserve felt like precisely that. 4 BR, 3BA 2050sf + finished rec basement. Sleeps 9. Heated SALTWATER POOL (seasonal) and HOT TUB (year-round!) Minimum 2-week rentals. Except for Labor Day week, 10 day. The space: Upstairs: Master w/ king and ensuite bath. Queen bed bedroom, shares bathroom with bedroom with 2 twins. On 1st floor, large 2nd “suite” bedroom with queen bed and twin daybed. Full finished windowed basement with eco-flooring, bar, giant TV, Peloton. New Sunlighten high-end 2-person infrared sauna—digital display of custom wellness programs (health, detox, weight loss, inflammation, etc.) and Netflix + sound system, in sauna. Sauna has all three: near, mid, and far infared rays and low EMF emissions. A/C, fans in all rooms. 3 TVs, one in living room, one in downstairs bedroom, one in basement. Fully stocked kitchen. Everything is BRAND NEW. Large, flat grassy yard on private .63 acres abutting nature reserve. Large wooden deck with several spaces for entertaining. The house is being outfitted to be WELLNESS MINDED: all beds are organic and natural latex mattresses with organic sheets. (No coils to reduce emf exposure.) House has designed with Feng Shui consultant for optimal serenity and energy flow :) Hamptons Style Real Estate magazine featured a 2 page spread on Feng Shui, with pictures of this home. Northwest Woods area: 1/2 mile to Sammy’s Beach on the bayside; less than that to a separate part of same beach with more cliffs as topography. 15 mins to ocean beaches. 1/2 mile to hiking trails at gorgeous Cedar Point. Ideally situated, 10-15 minutes each to center villages of Amagansett, East Hampton, Wainscott or Sag Harbor. Two week minimum. Extraneous utility costs for any length of stay will be taken from deposit. (ex. pool heating, paid for by guest which is standard for area.) Please ask any questions before booking! - No large parties. East Hampton has very specific rules about rental regulations. The house is perfect for families and small groups of friends. As per East Hampton regulations, no more than 4 families at a time may occupy one home. This is a respite and we and the neighbors want to keep it that way :) -No smoking cigarettes on the premises. We stayed at the property for a week and everything was just perfect! Margaret is a super responsive host and answered our questions within minutes. The house is fully equipped for living/cooking/playing and has a super spacious patio with a beautiful pool and backyard. We’d definitely recommend this place and we are coming back ourselves!

Idyllic retreat
From the moment we arrived we felt immediately calm and relaxed. Surrounded by nature outside and thoughtfully and spaciously designed and laid out inside, it was all pure perfection. Our family had a fantastic stay and the friends that came to stay with their families on the weekends had a brilliant time too. There was just so much space for all of us without feeling even remotely crowded and that’s with small children running about. The play space in the basement was amazing and kept them occupied for hours. The pool and hot tub are amazing. The drives to East Hampton and Sag Harbour were nice and easy, the owner’s recommendations for restaurants and amenities were spot on. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for anything better!!

The host is amazing, the pool and hot tub worked perfectly. Beds are comfortable and the house is quiet. It's about 15 mins from the nearest restaurant but easy access to both Sag and EH with a quick drive to the beach. Deck needs a few repairs and the pool loses sun at 2pm but the morning has great sun. Very well appointed with towels and linens. Could use a few new bath towels. I've rented 10+ houses and this was the easiest stay I have ever had. The host responded to any inquiries quickly and with actual answers.

Perfect family vacation
We had such an amazing time at this property. Great House for a Hampton Vacation
Wonderful house with everything you need for a fabulous vacation. The highlight of the house is a pool, hot tub, and a two level patio with plenty of outdoor furniture, a large eating table, and a barbecue grill. There are plenty of pool toys, rafts, and beach chairs, as well as a whole bin of beach towels. The house is very well furnished and very livable. The kitchen is stocked with everything that one would need. There is even a sauna in the finished basement, a bar, TV and sitting area, and a children’s play area well stocked with toys. The house is in a quiet wooded section of East Hampton, located 15-20 minutes from the town and main beaches in East Hampton and Sag Harbor. Margaret is a very helpful and responsive host, and is quick to get back to you with answers to any questions that you might have. I would definitely stay there again.

A Fantastic Vacation
We had been looking forward to our trip since booking it back in February. It was worth the wait! The house was clean, updated and welcoming. The outdoor pool area is absolutely beautiful. The owner was very responsive in getting back to us immediately with any questions we had during our stay. It was a lovely home and overall experience.

Great quiet getaway
If your looking for a quiet place to relax by a pool, this is the place. Salt water pool was awesome, hot tub was perfect, all the TV channels you could possibly want, and a finished basement for the kids. Owner was very responsive and quick to reply.

Great Stay in East Hampton
We had a terrific time at the house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is perfectly located for exploring the Hamptons and Sag Harbor. We would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a trip to the Hamptons.

Perfect house
The property is gorgeous and clean. The pool and hot tub made for the best pool day I have had in a really long time. The perfect weather didn’t hurt. There were 9 of us and not one person had a complaint about any of the beds they were all extremely comfortable. The house is all it appears and then some. We would definitely rent again!

beautiful home in a great area
Margaret's home was beautiful, comfortable, and convenient. We enjoyed cooking in her well-stocked kitchen, relaxing in the hot tub, and watching TV on the big couch. We were close to hiking, wineries, and all that the Hamptons have to offer. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Great rental, comfortable, spacious with great amenities
we were two couples with adult children and everyone enjoyed this house. There was plenty to do with the pool, hot tub and lawn games. Particularly a favorite with everyone was just sitting on the patio and by the pool sunbathing taking occasional dips in the pool to cool off. Very relaxing week which was the main objective. The interior is well done, very clean when we arrived. The furniture and beds are very comfortable and a very functional kitchen. The basement is a bonus with a bar, large screen tv and an elliptical . We enjoyed preparing dinners on the grill and dining on the patio. The location is great. Midway between Sag and East Hampton village, it is an easy drive to both towns, ocean beaches and an easy walk to the bay beach. The owner prepared a great tenant manual which provided good tips to visit the beaches as well as interesting restaurants and many other interesting things to do. The owner was very accommodating, promptly addressing any questions we had.
We will definitely look for this listing the next time we decide to vacation in East Hampton

The perfect backyard retreat!
The house, itself, was very nice but the backyard was magnificent. Amazing pool, hot tub, comfortable chairs, it has it all. Located in a relatively secludd spot, this is a great house to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and sit back, relax and enjoy the peace and quiet that this house provides for. Great for all ages, but our kids may have loved it the most.

The perfect girlfriend getaway
Six of my closest girlfriends and I stayed in this gorgeous house for our annual weekend getaway and it was the perfect place to relax, unwind and enjoy each other's company. The Bohemian beach decor, high ceilings and open floor plan made us want to move right in! We were tucked away in a quiet neighborhood with easy car access to downtown. We cooked family style meals, went running in the neighborhood, walked to the beach, and got some much-needed downtime. Margaret was a prompt communicator leading up to our stay and we felt right at home once we arrived. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a weekend away.

Great Spring Getaway
I took my 3 daughters for a few days to get away and just enjoy family. This house was just perfect - clean, cozy, well equipped with games, books, everything we could want to feel at home. Location was just far away enough from the hustle and bustle of East Hampton to have plenty of privacy, peace and quiet and really feel 'on vacation', yet close enough to a couple of villages whenever we needed anything, shopping, restaurants, movies, etc. Only regret was that it wasn't a few degrees warmer!! Hope to be back in the summer.

Relaxing escape in the Hamptons
Margaret's place was the perfect backdrop for a girls weekend in September. This is the kind of place that you can breathe easy in, and makes you feel like you are truly on a retreat. We loved the modern yet cozy decor, and the outdoor set up was perfect for entertaining and lounging on a sunny day. The proximity to hiking and the beach was a nice bonus. Margaret was super responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend.

Accomodating Host, Beatiful Home in East Hampton
This house is the perfect getaway for a group! Host Margaret provided us with loads of information in advance of our stay and once we were out there, was responsive to questions and quick to offer assistance/suggestions. The house is spacious, quiet, and charming and the pool/hot tub guarantee good times no matter what the weather. We loved our stay!
