It was modern, clean and minimalist. Perfect location with the river nearby, a great play park and pubs within walking distance.

Clean, comfortable and well-equipped cottage in a great location
Watch-out for the narrow last step on the stairs

Perfect little cottage in a great location for exploring the Peak District.
Set in the friendly village of Hayfield, good pubs, coffee shops and local stores.
Everything we could need for a stay away.
There was nothing to dislike about Drovers Cottage.

Clean cumfy with all the facilities we needed .
Wooden based bed creaked at every movement. Old frying pan was burned.

The location was great, the cottage had everything I needed, the facilities were fab. As a base for seeing friends in the Peaks, it was absolutely perfect, and I will definitely book it again in the next few weeks (if it's available 😊)
The only tiny issue was the bottom stair was an odd height, and very narrow - it wasn't a problem as such, but it could catch you out if you weren't concentrating.

Clean and comfortable.
No parking or outdoor seating area.

Good location
Bedding poor, pillows very thin and poor quality, so uncomfortable
Likewise cushions on sofa very thin, old and offered no support

Great communication confirming key lock code and able to access 2.30pm check-in (30mins early). The location is excellent- highly recommend village chippy. Pub across the road not too quiet and lovely pint. Everyone we met was friendly. Perfect for walking from the door (hurrah no car!) for beautiful hikes. Parking in surrounding area close to property was not a problem. Very nice powered shower. Nice dining table/chairs. Aldi only 10mins drive.
Less than two toilet rolls left at the property so had to top up, no shower gel (other than a miniature left by previous holiday maker?) and not quite as clean was expected (doubtful floor had been mopped, kettle had food bits stuck on it, couple of hairs in cutlery drawer etc). TV doesn't really work (not a biggie for us but if stuck indoors with terrible weather it might be). Sofas/chairs not v. comfortable.

The location is perfect! Very close by the Pack Horse "pub", a place you must visit. We were able to park every day in front of the house.

Great location. Good clean, cosy house.
Lovely walks in all directions.
You can't park directly outside because the street is too narrow, but plenty of unlimited parking nearby, and, with so many beautiful walks straight from the house, we didn't use the car for the whole stay.
Door code pad needs replacing - You can see from marks on front door that we weren't the only ones struggling with it falling off :D (Did work OK though)
Could do with more basic kitchen stuff - tin opener, sieve... Otherwise kitchen was good - Oven easy to use, clean...

Excellent cottage, very comfortable with everything we needed. Good bed. Good shower. Well appointed kitchen area. Handy boot space by the door.
Brilliant walking from the door so we didn't need to touch the car once we had parked, which turned out to be easy on Market Street. Bonus: butcher's opposite, well-stocked general store and PO in village.
Nothing to report.

Good location in friendly Hayfield (with pub 100 yds away, and shop for groceries - an excellent butchers just opposite.) Compact little house with nice gas woodburner-effect stove for cosy evenings. Clean and fresh inside - (one bit of housekeeping was really quickly and efficiently dealt with by Christian with quick text responses) A great base for a few days.
No outside space, and quite a busy road near, and church clock, but very good double glazing, so it didnt bother us at all. The gas fire took a few lightings before it stayed on, but fine once going.

Location is amazing in centre of Hayfield. Convenient for local facilities like the pubs and general stores. Close to the hills and not far to drive to see any of the sights. Cottage very clean. Snug and warm. Open plan living downstairs. Good shower.

This cottage was ideally situated within the centre of Hayfield, it’s was very clean and comfortable.
The only negative was no parking at the property, but this wasn’t a big problem as there was plenty available within a short walk.

Location is great for numerous from-the-door hikes.
The accommodation is located in the centre of the village with easy access to pubs, shops - and the must-visit butcher across the road!
Generally the accommodation is clean and fine and has all required facilities for a comfortable good few days.
Small issues were: the shower being finicky with obtaining a good temperature and the bottom step of the stairs being quite small it was very easy to slip when coming downstairs into the lounge.
