Red Door Penthouse in Battery Point is location, location, location. Our contemporary apartment is the upper storey of a grand Federation home built in 1905. Set in the heart of historic Battery Point, it is a 5 minute walk to the famous Salamanca Market, Mona Ferry Terminal and the shops and restaurants of Hobart's waterfront precinct. The light airy high ceiling apartment is a generous space for 2, but can comfortably accommodate up to 6 guests. It's great for a weekend break or perfect as your base for a longer stay to explore Hobart and southern Tasmania. The Penthouse has: 3 bedrooms (1 king, 2 queens) 2 bathrooms (1 main, 1 ensuite) laundry (washing machine and dryer) The living area comprises a fully equipped kitchen, dining and living areas with sliding doors to a generous outside deck and eating area. Red Door Penthouse does not accommodate children under 12. Our sister property Red Door Apartment is a 1 minute walk and is the perfect place for couples. Both the apartment and the penthouse can be booked together for a group of up to 8.

This property was perfect for 3 singles seeking a room each. Located within easy walk to Sandy Bay , Battery Point , Salamanca & City Centre.
While we did not self cater the kitchen is well appointed. Onsite parking.
This property ticked all boxes for us.
Fresh milk , coffee beans & Breville Machine was an unexpected bonus.

A great, comfortable and well equipped apartment in a fantastic location. Close to the water, shops, restaurants and cafes. Fantastic communication with the owners made the check in process very easy. Thank you!

We had a girls (3 of us) weekend at the Red Door Penthouse. We didn't have a car so we were very happy that we could walk everywhere, the location is fantastic. The apartment itself was beautifully appointed and very clean. We had a great time. Thank you.

I thought the place was beautifully decorated,warm and very comfortable.Spacious,elegant bedrooms and light filled living area giving wonderful views of Mt Wellington.Edgy,modern luxe furnishings throughout.We all loved it.

We had a fabulous family get-together to watch one member of our family participate in Hobart's inaugural 70.3 Ironman. The location of Red Door was magic. We walked almost everywhere, it was close to Salamanca Place, shops, Constitution Dock and Hobart Central. We did have a car and there was good car parking on site.
The apartment was extremely clean, light and welcoming when we arrived with views of kunyani/Mt Wellington and Robin and Kathryn had left an informative information folder.
The apartment was extremely well equipped and we felt very "at home" whilst we stayed.
Robin and Kathryn were excellent in their communication and we would certainly love to visit again in the future.
Thank you for ensuring our stay was so good.

The apartment was just great, comfy beds, lots of room to lounge, a great location and well appointed. There is great information on what to see, where to eat and more. The place is quiet and all three of us said we would come back.

Great apartment to fit a large family, close to town. Loved it
We had 2 parents, 2 grandparents and 2 kids and this place was perfect.
Accomodation was great, clean, tidy and very comfortable.
A short walk downhill to Salamanca Sq - an easy enough walk home too if you are not too old/young/tired/lazy!

Robin and Kathryn were very responsive, especially when we made a couple of changes to our booking and again when we left something behind.
The apartment is well appointed and in just the right place - close to town and also close to the event we were attending. I recommend the Red Door Penthouse

Great apartment in a fantastic location
Fantastic apartment in a lovely part of Hobart. Spotlessly clean, well equipped and extremely comfortable. Outside deck area was a bonus and perfect spot for an early evening glass of wine. Wouldn’t hesitate to return.

Great space - clean and tidy with pretty much everything we needed. Great location - walking distance to Hobart CBD and Salamanca cafes/bars etc. Hosts very responsive and helpful. Very quiet and private despite main road location --- no traffic noise at all and felt private even with blinds open in lounge. Beds super comfy and great to each have our own spacious bedroom. Only slight suggestion is to update music/tv technology as we were unable to blue tooth our music (speaker a bit dated) and ditto with TV (couldn't get DVD's to work and unable to access any digital tv services). Thank you ... will recommend and will hopefully be back. : --- )

Beautiful apartment, great location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Red Door Penthouse. It's lovely and spacious, beautifully decorated and in a fantastic spot to walk to Salamanca Place and the city or to Sandy Bay shops. My sister and I took our parents to Hobart for 5 days and this was the perfect accommodation for the four of us, we didn't feel like we were on top of each other and it was warm and supremely comfortable (and mum and dad felt like they were living in luxury!). Thank you also for the various directions and instructions - finding it and getting in was all very easy. Will be recommending this apartment to friends and family if they are heading to Hobart in future.

Stylish comfort
This accommodation was light, bright, warm, welcoming and clean. We were able to wander to all we wanted to see around Battery Point, Salamanca Place and the Docks. At the end of a long day out and about, it was easy walking distance to buy some supplies and hunker down in our stylish surrounds for the evening. The owners were easy to contact and very accommodating. Absolutely perfect for our annual winter 'Sisters Weekend'. Highly recommended.

Fantastic property - it was a clean and comfortable apartment. Also in a great location, walking distance to Salamanca Place and the Hobart Waterfront. Instructions to access property were easy and no problems.

Amazing Stay
Excellent location - beautiful home with tasteful and comfortable furnishings , very high standard. Ample breakfast provisions- sunny outdoor area! We even enjoyed a sing song around the piano! Far better than any 5 star hotel- perfectly done. We loved it. Thank you .

Great Apartment
Well appointed, spacious & comfortable apartment which suited our group of 3 couples. Sitting on the rear balcony enjoying the views to Mt Wellington was great. Easy walking distance into CBD & close proximity to all amenities. Hosts were very obliging in storing our luggage whilst waiting to check in as we arrived early morning. Would be very happy to stay there again if we returned to Hobart.

A nice spoil at the end of the day
We absolutely loved our stay at The Red Door
We were only in Hobart for the weekend so we made the most of our time there which meant at the days end we were all looking for a lovely calm spot to wind down and this was it.
It was close enough to the City and the waterfront to walk down to dinner and just the right distance to walk home after eating out at the wonderful restaraunts down at Salamanca that the house book recommended.
A good selection of wines and beers at the bottleshop just across the road finished the three nights off perfectl.
Both ourselves and our travelling companions loved the big warm beds and the cleanliness of the accomodation.

Amazing property in great location
Five of us girls stayed at this property for a girls weekend. Everything from furniture to kitchen items well thought of. Beds very comfy. Balcony is great with a beautiful view.

We really enjoyed our stay at Red Door Penthouse. It was really close to everything and had all the comforts from home! There was also a lot of helpful information on places to see and things to do! Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

Great location, very clean and comfortable.
A truly beautiful property in a fantastic location. We were a family of 6 who stayed for 2 nights. Directions to the property were clear and it was great to have an off street car park. Being a 5-10 minute walk away from Salamanca markets and the Brooke Street Pier was a huge bonus. Unfortunately, communication was not as prompt as we would have liked. We never received a response regarding a request for a late check-out. However, overall it was a fantastic stay and we would recommend to others. Looking forward to coming back to stay again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, absolutely beautiful presented, a home away from home.
Having the sun drenched terrace an added bonus as Hobart turned on the beautiful weather.
We'll definitely return to this fabulous oasis in the future.
