This house was perfect for our family. The sunsets alone made this house worth every penny. The house was great place to unplug and just enjoy nature and time with family. The house did not offer cable or wifi, which for us was fine, but I could see how some would say it needs it if the weather is not cooperating. The town itself lacked restaurant options but the few we did come across where pretty good. I would highly recommend this home to anyone who just wants to get away and relax!

This lake house is a perfect family getaway. The home is located on a quiet road that lends itself to morning walks. The trails close by also were enjoyable to explore. Our days were split between spending time on the spacious deck enjoying the amazing views of the lake and being down on the water. The deck furniture is super comfortable. There’s also a 6 person dining table with an umbrella for dinners outside or to enjoy a game of cards. The dock provides good space for a group to sit and there are 2 chaise lounge chairs that are at the end of the dock. Morning coffee and lazy afternoon naps were too good to pass up at this spot. Additional chairs are provided by the owner to bring down to the dock. The home is very clean. The living space has a nice relaxed vibe to it. The kitchen has all of the essential necessities and the 3 bedrooms are spacious and air conditioned. The town is only a few miles away which made for convenient trips to the grocery, restaurants and for ice cream. Don, the owner, was super responsive to any questions that we had during our stay. This house is what “up north” vacations are all about.

Cottage is very clean and slept 8 comfortably. Waterfront deck is awesome! We spent every evening enjoying amazing sunsets over beautiful Burt Lake..The yard provided ample space for some serious Cornhole and a bonfire or two. We took our 19 foot boat and found it just a short ride to the mouth of Indian River and the Burt Lake State Park sand bar..but did find it best to remove our boat from lake each night as the winds come and go at will.creating some choppy rough water. Great place..would definitely recommend to friends.

We had a great week with a cousin, her husband and granddaughter. The owner was responsive to answering questions and made sure we were all checked in and asked if we needed anything. There was plenty of gas for the week of grilling. Getting in the water is a little rocky so wear your water shoes, but that didn’t stop us from getting in the water. GPS directed us right to the house and since we have been on Burt Lake area, we know are way around and usually shop at Walmart, but Ken’s is a great place for shopping as well. Enjoy your vacation! Don and Brenda are great owners! They are very nice and friendly to work with. The house is spacious, clean and very comfortable. The deck is awesome for relaxing and enjoying fabulous sunsets. It’s a great Burt lake location!
