About this lodge

Nestled in Mount Wilson, this attractive lodge for R 4,347 per night is a great option for your next break. Camellia Lodge also has an open plan living with a split system heating, heated floors in the bathroom, kitchen, lounge and a comfortable King Size Bed. It also features wonderful views of the gardens from its balcony. Located in 24 acres of historical Dennarque Estate gardens, which have been featured in local and international media, and regarded by many as the best cold climate garden in Australia; The gardens were designed over 135 years ago by the then Royal Botanic Gardens Sydney director, Mr Charles Moore; The Gardens still retain a large number of original plantings that were introduced from various countries around the world and planted in the late 19th Century; There are many rare species of maples, rhododendrons, camellias, dahlias and many other exotic and rare plants; A Japanese influenced garden has recently been added to Estate; Rarely open to the public, the exotic cool climate gardens of Dennarque Estate are now available in-house guests. Not pet-friendly since the carpet is too expensive, too light in colour, and too soiled for them.

What a fabulous place!
What a fabulous place!
The accommodation was lovely and exactly as described. The outstanding point of difference with this booking was that we were able to wander around the beautiful grounds alone. The gardens were fabulous. We visited Breenhold gardens on one of our days and it was absolutely packed with people.

Beautiful garden stay
Lovely apartment with views of the wonderful garden estate at Dennarque. Thoroughly enjoyed the peace and relaxation of the place. Hope to return with friends and try the other cottages too sometime!
