Nestled in Monte Gordo, this attractive villa for R 3,640 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Charming four bedroom, 3 bathroom villa with private pool high speed fibre Internet and air-conditioning throughout, situated in the exclusive Casas da Audiência resort, located approximately 600 meters from the “Praia do Cabeço” beach. This delightful 4 bedroom villa is exceptionally well equipped, has a very homely feel, and provides everything you need for a wonderful summer holiday or a longer term winter break. It is located in the exceptionally popular Casas da Audiência, next to the Praia Verde resort in the unspoilt Eastern Algarve. On the first floor there are three bedrooms. The master bedroom has a double bed, en-suite and a opens out onto a private south facing veranda. Bedroom 2 has a double bed and a small balcony facing the front of villa, and bedroom 3 is a twin bedroom with the possibility to add an extra single bed. There is also a family bathroom with bath. On the ground floor the villa has an additional double bedroom, and a bathroom / cloakroom with shower. The kitchen is fully equipped and has a gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher, washing machine, standing fridge/freezer, and an additional under counter freezer for those large weekly shops or for those who like to bring meals from home. There is also well-proportioned open plan living room and dining area, which opens out onto the garden and barbecue area. The barbecue is a traditional Portuguese brick-built grill which is ideal for cooking meat, fish or vegetarian food. If you enjoy outside living, and cooking over hot charcoal, there is a gazebo that provides a shaded area for outdoor dining in the summer. The garden is south facing and features a swimming pool, which is a place to relax in the evening with a "glass" of wine! The villa is fully air conditioned throughout making it nice and cool in the summer months and providing heating in the winter. It also features high-speed fibre WIFI internet for those who need to work, or just for family entertainment, as well as Cable TV. At the front of the villa there is space to park two cars. The area is mainly made up of private villas and is within walking distance of the local beaches. Whether you are a beach lover, golfer, athlete or you just want to relax with your family and friends, this is the place to be. Ideally situated between Monte Gordo and Altura the villa is close enough to all the local night life, but just far enough away to avoid the summer crowds! Towards the beach there is a nature reserve including a lake, which makes a beautiful walk or bike ride into the town of Monte Gordo. The nature reserve is a favourite for walkers, runners, cyclists and for birdwatchers. The world class sports facilities in Vila Real Santo António are regularly used by training athletes who train throughout the year. Athletics and Sport: Close to the villa is the IAAF accredited sports complex of Vila Real de S. António. The complex is equipped with modern facilities that attract top athletes to this region. There is an 8 lane 'polytan' track together with indoor training facilities and a gym with Olympic free weights. Jumping facilities and dedicated throwing facilities are also available, where many other sports are catered for. The Complex is one of the most highly regarded centres in Europe. It is a high performance training centre recognized by the Portuguese Olympic Committee as an Official Training Centre, that attracts a number of professional teams and national squads to the region for warm weather training Monte Gordo is an established holiday resort with a flat blue flag beach, stretching over 20km. This is ideal for warm weather training sessions. There are over 12km of off road tracks that can be found in the pine forests that lie between Vila Real de Santo António and Monte Gordo. Ria Formosa Natural Reserve: The vast beaches and isles from Faro to Tavira form a natural barrier to the Ocean. Behind are the vast expanses of dunes and after those a labyrinth of lagoons and small sand isles, mud flats and canals. At low tide other salty habitats are uncovered, because the sea penetrates right up to land, forming marches and salt marshes With such physical diversity, it is not surprising that the Ria Formosa Estuary attracts such a variety of life forms and provides a wintering ground for many migratory birds. It is one of the most important nature reserves in the network of wetlands that links Europe and sub-Saharan Africa and is very popular with wildlife watchers from all over the world.

Romantic and cozy
Marina was a great host, always available, making sure that everything was ok. The house itself is very tidy and everything was working fine just fine. A quiet place, with a very nice backyard with barbecue, jacuzzi, shower, and a huge table so you can have space enough to enjoy a meal with family/friends. Very close to the beach.

Lovely villa in a great location
We had a fantastic time , stayed for a week , the villa had everything you need in a amazing location only a 10 minute walk to a sandy beach and 5 minutes to a really nice cafe with really good food and prices . Marina the host was excellent, I would definitely recommend to others .

Two weeks in the Portuguese sun and sand
A wonderfull 2 weeks for myself and my family. Our host and hostess were most caring and considerate. Our villa was spotless and comfortable. The beach was incredible with a charming restaurant and friendly staff. Information was given regarding the surrounding facilities and attractions. A great introduction to Portugal and the Algarve, thank you.

If you like the beach, you can walk in a matter of minutes.
Great restaurants are close by and if you don't fancy straying too far the "Cafe"/ "Bar"/ "Shop"/ "Bakery", just a 3 minute walk away, is very handy (don't be put off by the fact it's full of locals - that's a massive plus, as it shows how good it is and they are all very friendly!) First time we have spent Christmas & New year away from home, but it will not be our last! Thanks Marina & Mike for sharing your home - hopefully see you later this year! (Don't forget the links)

The owner Marina was helpful before and during our stay, we would recommend the services of Edite the local taxi driver if you do not have a car, she is very knowledgeable about the area and friendly. The beach is beautiful and although the sea is cold we managed a swim. Eating out was not so good, cheap in monte Gordo but poor quality probably better in villa real we didn't get there.

Great Vila
Stayed here with 7 mates for golfing holiday the villa was superb well kitted out everything you need superb BBQ and the jacuzzi was well used after golfing,Monte Gordo itself was very quite but it is out of season ,we still had a good laugh,Feel a car is needed to get about but a very very good villa certainly return one day.

splended and confortable house
We had a wonderfull 2 month holiday. The house is well equipt for 2 familys with each two children. So a very cheap house for summer holidays. Everything you need is present. The bakery around the corner is perfect for nice breakfasts. The beach 5 minutes walk, Monte Gordo over the beach 20 minutes walking. Very nice beach with restaurants. The owners live nearby and gives you all the support you need. Internet is fast. Dog allowed. That combination you hardly will find. I cannot immagine a better place to have your holiday. Next winter we will stay there 3 month!

Fantastic villa for warm weather training
If you're a runner, or athlete, then this villa is perfectly suited for some warm weather training during the off season. I stayed here with friends for a week as part of my training for London Marathon. There are plenty of runs to do straight from the door step including wide trails through the forests and endless miles along the beach. There is a track nearby that has excellent facilities, including running track (plus all T&F equipment), gym, swimming pool, etc. Across the border in Spain there is a 47km long bike trail which is ideal for long runs. Bikes can be stored in a secure shed outside.
As the other reviews say, the villa is furnished to a high standard and perfectly equipped with everything you could possibly need. If you like to prepare your own food, the kitchen has plenty of pots, pans and plates and with several big supermarkets a short drive away - you can keep away from the snack bars of Monte Gordo! After a long day, it's nice to relax in the living room with tv/dvd player, or sit in the jacuzzi outside! These facilities made staying in this villa much more enjoyable then a hotel. There are also many sights to go and see in the area, we enjoyed visiting Castro Marim and Tavira.
Marina and Mike are both very friendly hosts and are close by if you need any help. I would really recommend both the location and the villa and look forward to returning myself!

What a beautiful Villa!
I was met at this lovely home by Marina, the wonderful and charming owner/host. Marina made me feel at home immediately. I entered the Villa to find a fantastically open and airy space. Very well appointed kitchen and sunlit living space. 4 very spacious and comfortable bedrooms- perfect for a large family. French doors that led me to a lovely and sizeable garden patio (complete with dining area, full outdoor cooking area with bbq and a 4 person jacuzzi). I was in heaven!! You must see this Villa to fully appreciate it's clean, open, airy and comfortable spaces. Then I strolled down the street to the beach. Oh my goodness. In less than 5 minutes I was standing on a beautiful sandy beach that seemed to stretch on forever. I spent many days between this fantastic Villa and this incredible beach. I had never been to Portugal before, but instantly felt at home. Marina was always there if I needed her (she lives a few blocks over) but never intrusive. Great family, excellent hosts. I feel like I made some friends there! In the future I plan to get a group of friends together and return.
I travel extensively for work and pleasure and am rarely fully satisfied with hotels or Villas that I have rented. But I could not have been happier with this place. I highly recommend it.
You will love it and find yourself not wanting to leave. 5 stars!!!

Lovely holiday home!
Such a great place to stay! It was clean and comfortable with everything we needed and plenty of room for our party (6 people). One of the best things was being able to sit out in the evening, have a bbq and make the most of the jacuzzi! Perfect for a relaxing holiday!
It's only a short walk to the beach and we found Monte Gordo accessible for a bit more night life! It was also really convenient for shops and it's a really pretty area, there was plenty to explore - we visited Tavira, Cacela Velha and even made a day trip over the border to Spain.
The owner, Marina, was lovely - really helpful and ready to give us any info about the local area.
We enjoyed our stay here so much that we just booked again for later this year!

Great location holiday home
We loved it so much last year we are delighted to have the chance to return this Spring. The beach is so close and the jaccuzi in the evening a real bonus (relax with a g&t). The house has everything we need including a great barbecue area. All the shopping needed within easy reach.
The ensuite to the bedrooms was very useful since we were a party of three couples.
The area is very interesting, we visited, Cacela Velha, Castro Marim, Vila Real de St Antonio and drove up the river to Alcoutim. It is also within 1/2 hour to Spain, Ayamonte is a pretty little town. In the evening a visit to the Casino in Monte Gordo is a must and there is a great ice cream parlour on the sea front nearby.
