Perfect for beach walks and clam digging right out back door.

Love the beach view and wonderful deck and fire pit. Comfortable beds and sofa.

Great house. Perfect location. We really liked the fireplace and the view is awesome. Does need some attention and finish work. Would stay here again.

The location with the beach steps away and situated on a quiet street is ideal! Great yard for sitting around the campfire! The cottage is a rustic beach cabin with the necessities available. We didn’t need the beds upstairs, which was a good thing because the stairs looked scary. Overall a wonderful stay at the beach at the Crab Cottage!

The check in is easy and Vacasa is available in case you need assistance. The location is superb, the kitchen is well equipped, the cottage has a lot of character. Usually WIFI is excellent here. This time it was not working at all

I love the view, love the closeness of the beach. The cabin has most everything you need, except this time there was no coffee maker or Wi-Fi! Vacasa sent out Comcast on my 3rd day there and they discovered the network name and password were wrong! There would be no connection with the information Vacasa gave me! The technician gave me the correct information and I had Wi-Fi from then on. I informed Vacasa but the very next person was given the wrong information still. Vacasa had someone drop off a coffee maker on my fourth day there. I was thankful for that!

The cottage was basic but cozy and had an amazing view that could be enjoyed from the couch, the deck, or a bench by the fire pit. We enjoyed curling up on the couch by the fireplace and watching through the window as a storm rolled through. The town was pleasant and quiet.
If you’re looking for a newly remodeled place in a location with a happening night scene, this is not for you. Like the online listing describes, this is a cottage right off the ocean. Perfect for quietly enjoying the view or walking along the beach.

It was both mine and my partners first time at the Pacific Ocean. Wonderful space to stay! I loved the charming cottage and the location was amazing! A short drive to Olympic National Park and Forrest. Would absolutely stay again if and when we come to Washington from PA again!

Traveling with a 2, 7,& 8 year old, had a blast in the cabin and on the beach! WiFi is very slow and spotty weather it’s going to load anything, if you’re traveling with children that are tablet kids make sure you have downloads of their shows or very old school and bring some DVD’s to entertain them in the evening. Otherwise plenty to get into. Very quite street with low vehicle traffic. Would highly recommend.

Cozy little cottage but very nice and comfortable. Got hot on summer afternoons so im betting it would stay warm if you were planning an off season visit. Right off of some very lovely beaches!

Location and beach access. Cozy.

Crab Cottage was a nice place for us to vacation with 2 of our grand children. Served our needs but does need some cleaning.

The location is hard to beat. The house is cozy with just enough room for four people. The yard, view, beach access and fire pit were really the highlight. Advertising that the house has internet service is laughable. Also telling your guest to just call the internet provider directly without providing a company name or phone number and having no cell service is off-putting and unprofessional. Towels and linens are abundant. Kitchen well equipped aside from coffee maker not working. The grill is not the one in the picture. We had a great time staying at the Crab Cottage regardless of the spaces minor issues.

Loved the beach front! Loved the comfy bed and the deck and little yard!

When we checked in there was sand and dirt in shower. The internet did not work. The BBQ was not in working order. The toilet flooded the first night poop water flooded kitchen. We called Vacasa international and they said they would reach out to owner, no one ever called. The next day toilet backed up again, called again they said they would reach out to owner and get back to us, no call back. Later same day septic alarm goes off. We call again, told again they would reach out to owners, again no call nothing. We where told by Vacasa International that we would get a full refund. Next day we wait for house keeping. Inform them my husband has cleaned up poopy water twice , had bleach spilled on him. They call the owner we where informed full refund. Finally maintenance comes out. Says the septic system is full.

Had a great stay. The house is smaller, but great location. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for my birthday because I wanted to be next to the beach on a budget. Loved that we could walk right onto the beach from the back porch. The wild and quiet wash of the waves were blissful as opposed to noise of a city.

Cabin may be a little sketchy. BBQ didn’t work but location is A+!!!

Much smaller than it looks, sleeping 6 would be very crowded. Internet didn’t work, no landline or reception for cell service. Fireplace didn’t work. Needs a lot of work all together.

This was my 2nd visit to Crab Cottage, and have already booked my 3rd visit for June! The Cottage itself is very clean, quaint and cozy. The kitchen is stocked with pots/pans/dishes/utensils, Mr Coffee coffeemaker and microwave. The shower has hot running water, and the faux fireplace is a nice touch for when it snows (like it did on my first trip!).
My dogs love the beach, and i love the mostly empty beaches i found ALMOST to myself adjacent to the cottage. You’ll want to bring your favorite peoples back again and again. =)

Not very clean and very outdated.
Socks in couch..wet towels outside but still charming because of location.

The access and view of the beach are the only redeeming qualities about this stay. There were disgusting dishes that were dirty and wet and put away. There was sauce all over the fridge. There was black mold on the shower and on the curtains. There was sand in the beds and in the couch. Not to mention all of the rust and holes in the home itself. It was overpriced and disgusting. So bad that we left an entire day early

Our family has stayed at the Crab Cottage several times over the years. It's simple, but clean and the recent updates have enhanced its charm. Great access to the beach, great deck and firepit. However, we will never use Booking.com again as it was a nightmare experience. Hopefully we can book the next reservation through another company. Always a good time at the Crab Cottage though.

BBQ did not work and tank was empty. Looked very rusty and needs to be put out to pasture. Ants were all over kitchen counters, had to clean and place traps that interesting enough were under the kitchen sink. The toilet clogged and flowed over on last day, I called in the afternoon and they told me they were sending someone and no one showed up. We had enough and left that night.

Easy beach access. The view.

Having the beach at your doorstep was awesome. Great value and views for the winter. Very quiet. It was close enough to day trip to the Olympic National Park as well.

The home is musty and shabby, yet clean. However, I was able to look past this just for the location and ocean. Love the fire pit. Very relaxing and quiet. You should know that the kitchen is not well stocked. Missing basics in kitchen such as pot holders, mixing bowls, and baking casseroles. There is one very used cookie sheet. Pots and pans were plentiful. The oven safe fry pan met most of my needs. There is a coffee maker, blender, and rusty toaster for the small appliances. Other reviews said the internet was good, but it was spotty when I was there. Comfortable sofa and beds. It has a flat screen TV now. The cottage is well past its glory days, but still cute and cozy.

The location is wonderful, right on the beach. A great yard and firepit. Neighbors are very closr. The cabin was not great. I'm OK with an old cabin but this was pretty run down and dirty. If you go, treat it like camping and bring air freshener.

Love love love the crab cottage. Can’t say enough about this little slice of heaven. Right on the beach with literally everything you need for a comfortable fun stay at the beach. The only bad part is when you have to say goodbye and head back home.

It's pretty rustic but you can't beat the view and beach access.

Great for a relaxed time at the beach. Clean and good bedding and towels, however no dishwasher or washing machine make a long stay challenging.

Cabin could have been cleaner, bathroom wasn't what they showed in the pic's. Very small toilet/shower... Definitely more rustic than what the pic's showed but we made it work and the beach access and view made up for all of it!! Definitely more of a summer getaway vs. winter where you'd spend more time inside.

Nice view. Place needs to be decluttered badly and the shower is disgusting so we went up the road to buy a shower at a pool at another hotel. The TV doesn't have any signins and I signed in on my Netflix and when I tried to erase it I couldn't...now ppl are watching stuff on my account even though I changed my password somehow. Pretty annoying. But a gorgeous view.

We have stayed here several times. The location of this house is great. Recent new TV which is good. Recent newer pans which was really needed. Floors are nice. Then the not so great. There were 3 pieces of toilet paper on the roll and no replacements. The shower has mold. The couch is disgustingly dirty. The linens are not useable as far as I am concerned and the beds is very old and uncomfortable. It's a great price if you can handle what this little cottage is lacking.

The cottage was cute and location beautiful. We did not mind the rustic settings. It was not extremely clean with pet hair on things. The first night we were freezing, just a thin blanket for each bed and a gas stove that did not heat the house well. I tried to contact the host using email, text and this app and did not get a response. Finally found Vacasa’s customer service number and called 2 times waiting on hold to talk to a random customer service rep before we got a call back from someone local. The local person was very nice and helpful. I would think twice before renting a vacasa home again.

The outdoor space is what really sold us on this property, you can't beat the beach access and the grassy yard to relax. The cabin was rustic and fairly comfortable. Updated furniture would make the stay more comfortable, the couch and bed seem worn and show staines. The couch smells of animals.

I rarely if ever give bad reviews so this kills me, but I don’t want anyone else to have the same experience. I’ve rented dozens of properties through VRBO over the last 10-15 years. This is the first time I almost walked back out upon arriving somewhere and went home. The property is falling apart. We don’t mind old places at all if kept clean, and things work and are safe. I doubt it’s even to code honestly. There is exposed insulation in the ceiling. One wall we could see right through to the outside, the dishes in the drawers were dirty, fridge dirty, cobwebs on the ceiling, empty wine bottles on top of the fridge. Everything metal was rusty and corroded (mirrors, wall heaters, etc.). The ceiling upstairs was duct-taped to hold it up. The carpet in the bedroom at least 40-50 years old and didn’t look cleaned ever. Don’t even look in the gap next to the shower.
Our check in was pushed 2.5 hours late to 6:30pm (75 min prior notice to 4pm check in). The bbq was not the one in the ad photo, it wasn’t worthy of the landfill and barely worked, so we had to buy a charcoal bbq from ocean shores. This was a short weekend getaway turned nightmare that cost us more in the end. We would have been better off camping in a tent or renting a room.
The view and access to the beach was nice and no neighbors were home, which kept it quiet. Otherwise do yourself a favor and spend another $100-200 and get something safe and sanitary.
I let Vacasa know they should reconsider taking on accounts like this. Shame on the owner of this property for considering this rentable. Never booking here or through Vacasa again. We just can’t afford to take a risk like that again.
