The property itself was nice.
We were charged extra for requesting an additional duvet for my friend to sleep on the sofabed - this was not mentioned during booking.

Very welcoming staff. Good location. Very clean and comfortable.
The large shower did not work. But there was a smaller shower which worked.

The location to the theatre. beds were comfortable and cleanliness was ok.
Needs some attention.
Rubbish in the carpark upon arrival.

A generally well-used feel about the apartment.
£150 deposit taken for any damage (not refunded for 7 days) along with an admin charge of £3?? - no mention of this on any obvious documentation
Dangerous/potentially very unhygienic stone kitchen floor (very uneven stone with cement missing)
Filthy carpets in hallway
£10 charge for car parking noted in manual but we were charged £12.50?
Asked to check in early at 13:00 - but then advised it would be £10 per hour for early check in??
We were not told before we were left alone what the passcode was to get back into the main front door…had to work it out for ourselves as no-one around on the desk!
Later had a call to advise us of the code.

Our apartment was clean, warm, spacious and very well equipped. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. The location was very central and perfect for walking to the Hoe, Barbican and City centre..

the reception staff member was so helpful and friendly - couldn’t have asked for more. she kept us updated on what would happen on our arrival and helped when we thought we may be running a little late. the property itself was spacious, incredibly well equipped and exactly what we were looking for in a stop over.
the only issue was the broken pane of glass in the lounge which we had been made aware of before arriving. this made the lounge quite cool and the bedrooms hot as the heating had to be turned up to allow for the draft. other than that, it was perfect for us

Reception went beyond helpful! Thank you. Location meant walking distance to all the good spots to eat and visit. Parking.

Broken shower.

The electric controlled shower was broken, the shower remote controller didn’t work properly and the temperature was too high and it burned my skin.
I’ve emailed the customer service but they didn’t reply, I called the emergency number but no answer, I reported the problem to the staff when I checked out the next day, 4 of them were in the office but none of them care, one of them just say: “OK, I will get someone to look at it later.”
They didn’t even apologise for the unpleasant experience that I’ve had.
And plus the fact the main photo on the Booking.com is fake, it was the solicitor’s office building round the corner, it’s NOT the actual place I was staying. The place that I was staying is a doggy basement round the corner.
Not happy at all, I been using booking.com for many years and this is the first bad experience.

The Fridge
Wifi not working on arriving…..should have been advised on arrival. Needle in rug, which stabbed wife in foot causing pain and bleeding. dangerous bedside lamp with bare wires and loose lamp fitting which clearly did not go together. Ant infestation found on arrival in kitchen / lounge.
bedside table…handle just pulled off drawer, cracked wash hand basin in en-suite, both showers had foul drain smells. Very noisy location with adjacent bar playing music late into the night.

The apartment was in a really central location so accessing the Hoe and central town was simple.
We did have an initial issue with the heating not working but once identified to reception it was quickly sorted.
Certainly a place to return to.
When I booked I wasn't aware from the details that we would be at basement level. This didn't effect our stay but it would have been good to know when booking what floor the apartment choices were on.

Very clean, well appointed, newly decorated. Modern. Good showers, good kitchen appliances. Yaay...Dishwasher! Very comfortable beds. Great location. East to park. We shall stay again.
Our eldest daughter joined us for breakfast and another chair would have ben useful. In fairness though, there were 4 of us staying and 4 chairs!

Everything was lovely. Very Spacious and modern, extremely comfortable beds and sofa bed. Extremely good value too. Great location - easy stroll to sea front and shops in centre.
