About this house rental
This large and spacious home is a great base for visiting the Venice area. Formal living room and dining room plus family room. Eat in kitchen, with table & 4 chairs, plus an island and bar stools. Live the Florida life style with plenty to do in this tropical setting within a short drive. Use the provided 2 bicycles to ride the Legacy bicycle/walking trail (17 miles long) only 2 miles away. Four Beach Chairs, umbrella and towels provided for your use. 10 great golf courses under 5 miles away. Venice fishing pier is 5 miles away. (No Salt Water License necessary at Venice Fishing Pier) Three fishing poles and tackle have just been added for guest use. Oscar Scherer park (6 miles) has fishing, swimming, canoeing/kayaking and hiking trails. Spring time brings Baseball Spring Training with Atlanta Braves 15 miles away. Downtown Venice has fun, great shopping and excellent restaurants. Walmart Super Center just 1 mile away. Pet friendly with owner approval. $25 PER PET PER WEEK. All pets must have long term flea and tick medicines. During the winter season, January thru April, rental must be for a entire month . Any other amount of time is with owner approval.

We have family locally and this home was perfect for us so that we were close to all of the fun but had our own space and could bring our pet, if needed. We will be back!

This property was perfect for us; from the screened in lanai to the double garage where we could keep our small fishing boat out of sight. Charlie the owner was very responsive and nice. Highly recommend this property for families also as it is close to great beaches and hiking trails as well as kayaking, etc. We hope to be able to come back next year!

Property was as described, very comfortable and roomie (I’d might suggest a slightly bigger bed for couples in master room) then again I’m not the smallest guy either. Charles was very helpful and communication was top notch. He has fishing equipment and bikes available for the guests and not to mention the ferry pass that we used a lot. Thank you for a memorable stay.

Property was as described, very comfortable and roomie (I’d might suggest a slightly bigger bed for couples in master room) then again I’m not the smallest guy either. The layout of the house is great. Although it was just two of us, I can see how this home would work well for a family. Others mentioned having issues with the TV but we had no problems. Charlie had recently installed a new one. The weather here was beautiful in November with pleasant temperatures. Kitty preferred to spend time outside in lanai so I ended up putting her litter box out there during the day. Since she is 4 pawed declawed I didn’t have to worry about her scratching/damaging the screens. The location of the house makes it convenient to the beaches, shopping and whatever else you might want to do in the Venice area. I would definitely recommend Charlie’s home.

Charlie was great and we texted several times during the week making sure we were comfortable and getting to know each other. Our 2 dogs were so happy and loved the lanai. We would have spent more time out there if it wouldn't have been so hot. The house manager, Karen, was great too and lives locally. We only had about 10 days and it rained every morning so we didn't get to go to the private beach. I would have rented it again for our winter extended stay but it is already reserved. We will definitely stay again!

Good location to manasota beach,just a few minor glitches with tv and garage remote. No lawn service so yard needed attention after 1 month. Overall a good stay

My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and had an amazing time. The house is very spacious and in a great location, with lots of wildlife from the forested lot next door. Charlie is an incredible host and made sure that we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend this property!
