Our room was most adequate. We loved the greenway trail that allowed us to walk to the beach. This was such a lovely neighborhood and very safe. We enjoyed our stay and exploring the area on the island of Kauai.

It is a bedroom, not a property. Do not expect any space or privacy.

If you’re looking for a hub to use as a crash pad while you go out on the various adventures Kauai has to offer, then this is your place. David is warm and welcoming and communication is great. Access to the surrounding beaches and resort grounds is a real plus!

The location was awesome. Very convenient to get to the start line for the marathon and easy to get around to where we wanted to go (Koloa, Waimea). David, the host, was very kind and gracious. We would definitely stay there again!

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. The location is perfect, close to shopping and dining. We walked to the beach every day, just a little ways down the walking path through the neighborhood. When booking this location I neglected to see that it only has 2 single beds. The room is very small but it had everything we needed. We were really only there to sleep so it worked out well.

Please be aware that this is not an 'entire home' yes you have a private entrance to the room (a glass slider on the side of the house), however it is just a small room with the two beds a very small bathroom in a house where the door to the main house is locked as this is where the host lives (sound travels). Since there is no A/C host suggested leaving glass sliding door open for air flow which didn't feel safe for 2 young women staying alone. Amenities DO NOT include oven as listed and there is no living space and should be more categorized as a small studio. Space was very run down and shabby. David was very quick with communication but not helpful with concerns about the booking. If you just need a place to sleep for a night this is probably fine but would not recommend if you plan to spend any time here.

David was very prompt in his message replies. So we had great communication. Very personable. Location was perfect for me to discover hiking areas on Kauai. It was a very quiet, safe neighborhood & surrounding area.

Mr. David was an amazing host. He was very attentive and diligent to our requests. Our room was great for us (2 adults and 1 4.5 yrs old). The neighborhood was safe and walking distance to Grand Hyatt and Poipu beach. As much as we love the room, we were out all 5 days and come home passed out. We enjoyed every parts of the island and having to come home in a room just to decompress for the day was very comfortable. Mr. David was pleased we were pretty much out than staying in because the island is a beauty itself to enjoy and not to enjoy in a 4 walls. Thank You Mr. David we look forward staying with you again.

We were located between Grand Hyatt and Poipo beach. Easy walking distance to both with places to eat. We had every thing we needed and nice bathroom with shower. David was a great host. Suggestion: get a day pass to Grand Hyatt for the pool.

Room is in excellent location within a five minute walk to the beautiful beach. David was a great host and very helpful with any questions we had. We didn’t spend a lot of our 6 days in the room, but it was definitely adequate for our needs and affordable

My girlfriend and i stayed here at this lovely place for a weeek. It was a great location to stay because the Marriot and the Hyatt were so close. We would definitely stay here again. The host showed us the upmost hospitality and was very helpful. Mahalo!

The location of this property can't be beat, adjacent to a paved path that goes to Poipu Beach and Shipwreck Beach. The place is small but has everything one needs at a terrific price. David is very personable and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

This was the perfect location for our extended (12 day) stay on the island. It’s in a great resort with lighted walking paths to 2 great beaches and is centrally located for most of the activities we wanted to do on the island. The room was very clean. It was the perfect place to have as a launching point for our hikes, beach days, and food excursions. You won’t find a better deal on Kauai! David was a joy of a host. He helped us find our bearings when we arrived, gave us some local recommendations, and made the check-in and check-out process a breeze. 5 stars!!! We hope to stay here again when we come back!

Good location and host. A little on the small side, not much space, can hear through the walls. Carpet in need of attention or elimination. Elimination would be better, an easy to clean luxury vinyl plank would be a good option. Carpets are the pits, whether in a hotel or other accommodation they just retain dirt and are unsightly. Would we stay here again? Probably not just due to cost for what it is and the fact that we were only there to sleep. I would probably opt for the cheapest room to just lay my head down at night instead. Out and about all the time, so the accommodations were really not as important to us. If you plan to spend more time at the place and stay around the area then this would be a good option for you. Definitely a good location though, easy access to a couple of beaches, decent dining in the area. Good access to the west side of the island and Waimea Canyon Rd. It rained pretty much the entire time we were there so we made the best of it. A few upgrades would make this a much nicer place. One last note if the owner is seeing this review. The lighting at street entrance should be better placed or offset. It is blinding when you are trying to back out of the drive in the dark. The owner had a recent tragic loss so I am giving him the benefit of the doubt and wish him all the best. Thank you and Prayers.

Great location

We had a lovely stay at this VRBO in kauai. I was attending a conference near by which was walking distance along a manicured path. The room had everything we needed.

This is the perfect place to stay in South Kauai. It’s a single room with a separate shower/restroom. It was perfect for us because we were on the go everyday of our 5 day stay. David was very accommodating and gracious host. You are only a 10 minute walk to Poipu and Shipwreck beaches. We loved staying here it was very quiet and safe. We kept the windows and doors open all night and slept great!

Host met us when we arrived. Very Cordial and welcoming. The room is a spare bedroom that has been renovated very nicely. Outside entrance. Close to the beach walking or driving. Two twin beds with fridge, microwave, toaster oven, and beach chairs. No a/c but we never needed it. You might have to use the extra blankets at night. Very knowledgeable about all local establishments. We never asked about beach towels or coolers to use for the beach. All in all it was a good stay for the price.

Fantastic location, gracious hosts, not much more one can ask for.

It was our first time staying in po’ipu and this sweet space met all our needs and beyond. Very clean, close to everything one would want to experience in this region. The hospitality was top notch. My husband, who has difficulty with sleep due to back pain remarked on how surprised he was by how well he slept here. We would definitely stay again. It is true, it is a small space, but the way things were organized in the space I never felt cramped.

Excellent location, smooth check in, comfortable beds, good shower. Lynn and David were very friendly and held. However, we found that ants crawling over tissue box and table just after check in.

We had a fantastic stay. The neighborhood was beautiful, the room cute, clean and comfortable and the hosts were very helpful and so nice. We would definitely stay there again!

I had a very pleasant stay here in Poipu at David and Lyn’s property. Easy checkin, terrific parking, clean, awesome location and friendly hosts. The room had everything I needed for the week too. I’d stay here again.

This was a great base to visit the south and western part of the island. Good place and location to crash at between hikes and visits. Beds very comfortable.
