Porch looked like someone spit chewing tobacco all over and some of the outdoor furniture was thrown off into the yard. Ottoman cushion was very stained with what looked like blood or feces and rug was full of sand. We cleaned up and stayed one night instead of 3. Reported that to Ward Realty via email and they just said sorry! I think I should get at least half if not all of my money back. Truly an experience I will not repeat. I'll stick to hotels. Never had a problem with hotels.

My 9 year old daughter and I just loved this place. Beach entrance across the street. Walking distance to grocery store, shopping and restaurants. Short drive to purchase fresh seafood. The house was clean, comfortable and well appointed. Nice backyard with plenty of areas to hang wet towels and suits. Exactly as pictured. Things I wish I knew: The entrance to the beach is literally right there - but if you have littles or are elderly there is a flight of stairs up and down over the dune. There are other flat entrances further away. Dont be me trying to carry a wagon full of sand toys up the stairs LOL. This unit is a twin . While we were lucky enough to have Old Salt to ourselves for most of the week, when someone was next door you could hear every word. This wouldn't keep us from renting again but you may want to consider that for your stay.

From the front porch breezes to the wood paneled den to the upgraded kitchen and bathroom plus the fabulous rear entertaining areas, the Old Salt has everything you need to relax at the ocean. The owner has a sense of style, and thoughtful touches abound. The den and bedroom furniture is comfortable and well-placed, the kitchen is extremely functional with new appliances and a good selection of cookware and the bathroom (while a little tight with the inclusion of a stack washer and dryer) is newly renovated and spotless. The back deck is spacious and perfect for late afternoon happy hour. Beach access is just across the street and includes a unique "tunnel" of shrubbery which keeps the sand cool. Handicap access is also just down the street with a ramp from the parking lot to the beach. If you're looking for a quiet, comfortable and unique beach cottage give Old Salt a try.
