The rest of the apartment was spotless. A great location too. Loved Newark and train station nearby which we used to visit Lincoln and Nottingham. Such a good location. Bed comfy and apartment warm.

The TV only worked on certain channels. Reported the problem but no reply. The fridge and oven were not clean which I also reported and received an apology.

Very spacious, clean, and comfortable. A convenient location for walking into town and there was a mini-supermarket within a couple of minutes. Street parking was always available within 10 yards of the property.

Only minor negatives. Just having a small hanging rail and no drawers for clothes is OK for a stay of a couple of nights but not so good for a week's stay or longer. There was barely enough cutlery and crockery if 4 people were staying there. Again, not a problem for a short stay but we had to wash up after nearly every meal. We even bought some cheap extra forks as there were only 3 available. The water pressure in the shower was adequate at best but we knew this beforehand from other reviews. Having a working washing machine would have been nice but it was not promised in the description so we can't really complain! Although I have listed several issues, I must repeat that these were minor and did not really detract from a very pleasant stay. We would definitely stay there again if we were in the area.

The space and comfort.

Location was very good. Mattress in the bed was very comfortable. Supplied towels which was nice. Very clean. House was well maintained. Central location. Easy to access the flat. Host was very responsive to any message I sent before getting there.

The light in the downstairs hallway did not work. Difficult to see to get into lock box as a result. Front door handle needs to be secured. There could have been either drawers or shelves in the bedrooms to put our belongings. Had to put them all on the floor. Not ideal. The couches were rock hard. Very nice large TV, but we could not turn it on! We thought it was the batteries in the remote, bought batteries but that did not resolve issue. No big deal though, we were not there that much.

This is a perfect flat for anyone looking to stay a week in Newark for work or leisure. Close to the centre of town but still quiet.
