My sister and I enjoyed our stay at Littles. The kitchen was well provisioned for our needs. This is a perfect location for a large group to stay as one bedroom has two sets of double bunk beds. There was an occasional electrical glitch in the master bedroom where the ceiling fan didn't work and the key box was difficult for us to open in the dark after arriving late but these were small things that didn't prevent us from enjoying our stay. Our host was super patient and dealt immediately with any issue that popped up. We look forward to returning and staying here at Littles when we visit family in the Cullman area

My husband and I had a wonderful time at this property. The home is lovely, the location couldn’t be better, and it’s so convenient for a boat at the doc. We live locally and will definitely be back for another staycation.

Looks like an office building from the outside, but has the cabin feel inside.......two small negatives, stop feeding the next door neighbor's cat and change the shower liner....but great place!

House was perfect! Clean and well stocked! Love the open floor plan and the garage doors that open to the porch! Plenty of parking for my boat trailer as well as a boat launch 30 seconds down the street! Will be coming back! 10/10 would recommend!

We had no issues whatsoever with our stay and everything about the house was perfect. We really enjoyed the garage door windows and surprisingly big porch overlooking the water. Jay, the property manager, was extremely helpful and generous. I would absolutely stay here again!

There was 4 of us staying here fishing a bass tournament on Smith Lake. It was clean and we had plenty of room. Parking was also good as we had four trucks and boats with us. We would stay again for sure.

Little's on the Lake was a great space for the bride and her bridesmaids to share the night before the wedding. The layout of the house and the furnishings made it a great place for them to enjoy each other's company her final single's night! The space would be great for any group that could work with 2 bedrooms to spend time on beautiful Smith Lake.
The house was clean and well maintained.
Jay was accommodating allowing us early access so
we could get ready for the rehearsal dinner.

We had a nice relaxing stay on the lake. The home was clean and the beds were all really comfortable - even the bunk beds. We spent many afternoons on the deck. It is close to some nice restaurants in Cullman and to hiking at Hurricane Creek.

Great experience!
We loved our weekend getaway at Littles on the Lake! Very clean, everything as described! The stairs to the pier are very steep & long! Was not expecting that, but we made it. Not much view of the lake either. Limbs and brush really need to be trimmed back. Overall, we had a great time!

Very nice visit.
I rented the home for out of town relatives. The home was very convenient to our lake house and other relatives camping at the Palomino campground. Very nice open floor plan for family get togethers.

Amazing views and awesome owner
We had a great time at the Little’s on the Lake. The house has great views of a wide channel of the lake. Tons of things to do in the area and it’s less than a mile to Smith Lake park. Will definitely be staying here again in the future!

Perfect getaway spot
My family loved Little’s on the Lake. The modern/sleek design is unique. We rented a pontoon for 3 days while we were there. That is a must! The owner was quick to respond when i had a question as well. We will most definitely be back next year.

This property has a lot of potential if the owner took better care of it! It is charming and has direct water access. The garage doors would be awesome in cooler weather, but that’s about all I can say that the property has going for it at the moment.
Cons:
- The walk to the lake is extensively long and overgrown. The owner has no control over the length of the walk, but the weeds/poison ivy growing through the stairs is heavy. The overgrowth on the sides of the stairs leaves you stepping over branches and through spiderwebs every morning. This should be cared for, cut back, sprayed, whatever so that the walk is more manageable for folks and kids.
- The AC unit does not work well in the bedrooms. There are two bedrooms, and while it pumps in great air in the main living areas, the bedrooms are hot in the summer. That makes it harder to sleep.
- This Unit does not comfortably sleep 12 people, unless they are small. One of the two bedrooms has two set of full sized bunks. We had teenage boys in that room and they did not enjoy sharing as they were very close to each other. I would suggest one person per bed in a full size, and 2 per bed in a Queen. There is a Queen pullout but you can feel every single spring and brace underneath. It is VERY uncomfortable. Mattress needs to be updated.
- Property was filthy. Master bedroom mattress was covered in fresh urine, it didn’t look like any attempt was made to clean it. We didn’t know this until we stripped the beds to leave, so we slept on it the whole time. The couch had dead palmetto bugs on it (I know they weren’t roaches). The dishes had dead smaller bugs in the bowls and cups, the patio furniture and awnings were covered in mold, mildew and rust, showers have mold growing on the grout and caulking, some of the cabinets are chipped and veneer is cracking and cobwebs were everywhere inside and out.
This property needs a heavy cleaning, decluttering and pressure washing and it needs an investment to some newer furnishings and such.
Again, great potential for this unit if it were taken care of. Currently, I feel I overpaid for the experience we had, especially since I slept in someone else’s pee!

Close to boat ramp
Driveway has good parking for two trucks and boats. You could do 3 but would be tight. Close to state park for tournament anglers.
