Spacious, nice, everything worked. Great house, right on the beach. The apartment has a super large balcony from which you could enjoy the view of the Caribbean. Mario was always an incredibly nice person to answer our questions. It was just lovely to be able to enjoy 2 weeks in this apartment. Centrally located. With the rental car we were in Bridgetown in a few minutes and could easily explore the island to the west, north and east. Supermarket 1.3 km away, Stade's Rum Distillery just a few steps away. All technical facilities and appliances worked perfectly and it was very convenient to have a washing machine and dryer in the apartment. The price for 2 weeks is a bit steep, but we would definitely book it again. Thank you Rose and Mario for the immediate feedback and support. Silke & Carl

The property needs a complete refurbishment . Excellent location. Property owner's nephew ( Mario ) was very pleasant. Without him, we would have checked out the very day we checked in.

First - I'd like to say we loved Barbados and Rose was very helpful and available. You really can't beat this location - calm waters just feet away, the beach had enough people to feel safe, but not so many people it felt crowded. There are fabulous views, a grocery store nearby, walking distance to Mt Gay, catching the bus is a few blocks walk and only $1 USD to get pretty much anywhere you need to go. BUT this really could use some updates. We had issues with the air conditioning leaking all over the master bed - which ended up taking a full day to fix (we stayed at the condo waiting for repairs which was very frustrating. Rose offered to stay - but we were told the repairs would happen at 11:30 so decided to just stay...the repair guys showed up several hours late, and the job wasn't complete until after 7pm). We were afraid to open one cabinet for fear that the door might break. The dryer was a little weird. We had heard from neighbors about the potential of break-ins. They suggested that we decline maid service and even get our own padlocks for the doors. There was something weird in one of the lawn chairs that stained my clothes. The pool wasn't really cleaned except by one other tenant. The kitchen was lacking some basic things like measuring cups, cookie sheets, etc... Staying here, Weiser's Bar is really the only restaurant you can walk to - it's good, but the menu is a bit limited. Walking to Mt. Gay is required for the tour and to have some incredible drinks. All in all it was a great vacation - with a few updates this really could be a luxury property in a perfect location!

Staying on this side of the island is very nice, the other side the water is rough and cannot swim. Location of this condo is nice too because it'seems close to town. Having a car makes getting around much easier but buses do come up this far often if you don't have a car, bus fare is only $2 BB per person. There is a grocery store about a half mile away and Weiser beach bar restaurant is within walking distance and has good food but not a huge selection. The condo itself is nice but nothing fancy. Several things were in need of repair but nothing you can't live with. The weather is very warm on Barbados, we thought it would be nice to sleep with windows open allowing breeze through at night. There isn't much of a breeze and humidity levels leave you needing air conditioner, especially at night. This beach area is quite known to have thieves watching quests and taking any opportunity to steal from you. We were warned of this when arriving and we're extremely careful to keep doors locked always, even when we were in the property. Despite our efforts, they still found a way! Our bedroom window was closed but not locked one evening while we were out and thieves opened window and even through the bars over the window, they were very clever to use sticks and boards to move dresser and desk around in the room. unfortunately for us, they got away with well over $3000 in valuables! Property owner was unwilling to help cover any loss. Despite all that, location with calm waters on the island is hard to find so it's still appealing, just be very cautious! ! We travel often and stay in many rental properties, this property in my opinion hasn't been maintained as well as other places we've stayed. We had the 2 bedroom on the 2nd floor. We choose this apartment for the view of the ocean but due to many trees, the view and breeze is quite limited. You would have no view of ocean at all from lower level due to fence around property. If you do go to Barbados, make sure to go to Oistens on Friday night for the fish fry, get there early as it was VERY busy and a long wait, during February at least which is a busier time on the island. The Fish Pot is awesome and we also loved Beach One in St Lawrence Gap, food was amazing, romantic, right on the water and prices were reasonable. restaurant In Barbados in general are espensive, plan to spend at least $50 to $100 for a couple for a meal, even for lunch at most places. Weather was amazing, high 80's!!!
