Nestled on 3/4 acre, The Beach Glass House rests in a resort like, quiet, historic and upscale residential neighborhood. It is a completely furnished, fully stocked, Bed and Breakfast quality, 3500 sq. ft. home on 4 levels. Tosi's Restaurant and Bit of Swiss Pastry Shoppe are just steps down the road! These are both 5 Star rated establishments and have been the heart and soul of our community for generations. Coaches Restaurant and Crimson Cafe is walkable or a quick 2 minute drive. The new Etre' Farms Event Venue is a short 3 minute drive straight down Glenlord Rd Additional restaurants, shopping, grocery and pharmacies are 1/2 -1 mile away. In addition to King beds, all bedrooms have workstations, extra USB ports, and charging stations. The Beach Glass House has it all for your “never to be forgotten” vacation or special event! Affordable luxury is at it's finest in this historic community with glimpses of Lake Michigan between the whispering pines. Netflix streaming Fastest internet speed available to our area KARAOKE!!! For the Performers in your family! It is a 5 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath single family home located 2 houses from the Beach Glass House and 2 houses from Lake Michigan The Beach Glass House is one block from Lake Michigan. There is a lovely little park there (Glenlord Beach Park) for watching our amazing sunsets. However, due to continued erosion of the entire Lake Michigan shoreline, there is NO BEACH. So… Grab a good bottle of Michigan wine, a loaf of Bit of Swiss, (to die for bread) and our locally crafted Reny Picot cheese. Then a short, one block walk, to the shoreline for a breathtaking sunset. Life is GOOD! Having your Wedding, Family Reunion or Special Event at our world renowned Tosi's Restaurant or Etre Farms? Then, a no more PERFECT place for you and your guests to sleep and relax, can be found right across the road at The Beach Glass House! Tosi's is a just a short walk or a 3 minute drive to ETRE' Farms. Tosi's? Just think...NO DRIVING when your guests want to take a break from the festivities or when the event winds down. Just take a short stroll across the road, catch a few zzzz's and stroll right back. Etre Farms? The Beach Glass House is 1 house from the corner of West Glenlord and Ridge Road. Just a quick 3 miute drive straight down West Glenlord to this beautiful venue and then home again. After a great night's sleep at The Beach Glass House, wander across the road to Bit of Swiss Pastry Shoppe for Espresso and melt in your mouth pastries. And, then why not Tosi's for dinner!? All within a few strides. 5 HUGE bedrooms all with King beds 3 Full Baths 3 Season Family Room and outdoor living space for TV watching, board and yard games. (This room is not available during the winter months.) The lowest level is our Teenager "Apartment." It lets the young people have their own private space but Mom and Dad can still keep an "eye and ear" out, just in case. ;-) Fully stocked with staples, eat in, Gourmet Kitchen Formal Dining Room 3/4 acre yard Pet Friendly but NO CATS. For the allergy prone, cats HAVE inhabited this property previously. 1 Block to Lake Michigan On site Laundry Facilities No events or parties at the home please. There is a limit of 10 people for overnights and no more than14 people are allowed on the premises at any one time. NEWS FLASH! NEWS FLASH!! NEWS FLASH!!! If your party is larger than The Beach Glass House can accommodate we have another property available, right around the corner, and only 2 houses from the Lake. It provides ANOTHER 4-5 bedrooms (4 King beds, one Queen), 2 and 1/2 baths and all of the amenities of The Beach Glass House. Please be advised: You may walk down West Glenlord Rd to the Lake for viewing our spectacular sunsets. PLEASE!!! DO NOT walk past our property line to get to the Lake! Should you walk west down the drive beyond our lot line, you are trespassing on private propety. These people are serious...If caught walking on their propety they have been known to stop you with yelling and then calling the police. It's not worth ruining your vacation. Glenlord Beach Park is a LOT more fun! With the new venue ETRE' Farms just a stones throw from our 2 properties, we are already booking for summer 2024. Like my Mom used to say..."DON'T DAWDLE!!!" (Dawdle?) Make your reservations NOW!!!. Summer is SHORT here in our little piece of paradise. Have FUN!!!

We so enjoyed staying at Diana's home in Stevensville. We were in town for a wedding at the house was perfect for our group of 10 adults. It was conveniently located to the lake, St. Joe, and well equipped with bedding and accommodations for our whole group. Would definitely come back and stay here again!

Diana met us at check in and explained everything we needed to know about the house. She was helpful and easy to get ahold of with any questions. She lives close to the property if you needed help with anything. I enjoyed the “beachy” decor of this house and the roominess for my family of 5 plus one dog. We enjoyed the short walk to the Lake Michigan view and so did our dog! The beds were comfortable and the house was very clean. The location of the house was ideal to drive to the town of St Joseph and Silver Beach. We enjoyed the fire pit in the evening and Diana provided the wood for it. My family would stay here again!

This house was a great fit for our family. Our four children with their spouses. Close to restaurants and pretty downtown area, beaches and wineries.

The house is nice and clean with tons of space. The water pressure made it very difficult to shower and only one of the three was fully functional.
The main TV is in the garage so was not ideal for watching something with the group. The room with the biggest couches had no TV.
Tons of outdoor seating and a fire pit. Would visit again.

This home was on the road of my youth. Very accommodating and comfortable. We didn't have to worry about anything but reconnecting with family and old friends.

The house is as listed. Decor is lovely, beds are super comfortable. All the silverware and dishware needed with a dishwasher. Plenty of space to gather in large or small groups for lots of socializing indoors and out.

We were able to relax here between celebrations in St Joe. Adults had their own spaces as well as gathering areas. Walk to the lake view was nice. Thanks for sharing your space Diana.

Diana was great to work with; the location was perfect for accommodating a large group and I really enjoyed the proximity to Bit of Swiss for morning goodies. Each bed was comfortable and the rooms fairly cozy. I would definitely stay again!

Stayed here for 2 nights for a trip with my family of 6 adults and 4 kids. The house accommodated us well, however there were still quite a few things under construction. Light switch/plug plates missing, doorknobs that didn't close, doors that got stuck and the fridge water dispenser was out of service.
The garage area was great for entertainment as that's where we spent a lot of our time together at night watching movies and playing games with the screen that kept the bugs out. Great location about a block from the beach. Host was great and quick to respond.

Thanksgiving retreat
This house has it all a great location , pet friendly, comfortable beds and a well equipped kitchen. We had a wonderful time in this spacious home. My college age daughters were even able to get some home work done thanks to the WiFi. Diane was a gracious host and easy to get in touch with .

There were a few issues that were likely unique to our stay. Diana accepted responsibility for the issues and bought us some lovely pastries as compensation. Had a great stay otherwise.

The house was very clean. The furnishings / decor are great. It is in the process of small upgrades so some baseboards and the like are not yet installed. Water pressure in a couple of the sinks/showers are low. But rooms are large and there are several outdoor spaces to hang out. We would stay there again if our travel plans were similar.

Sip Sip Soiree Girls Wknd Away
Dianna is an excellent host, and her home was very lovely for our needs. We couldn't figure out the coffee maker and we texted her and shortly afterwards there was a new coffee maker sitting on door step! The house was very nice for our needs and with the 5 king COMFORTABLE beds, it was perfect for getting our needed space and perfect nights sleep. The fireplace outside was a nice feature to add to our sipping wines and enjoying the autumn weather. The basement was the perfect place for a dance off. We had 2 doodles that came with and the fenced in yard was perfect for that. We would definitely come back and make sure we walk to the Swiss Chalet Bakery before it closes. (Closed on Sunday)The Italian Restaurant is right next door to bakery and it was perfect for take out as it's a quick walk down the street! Location perfect!

Diana was extremely accommodating and responsive to our texts. The house was very well stocked and comfortable for our family of 6. The bed linens and towels were lovely and we enjoyed the fireplace in the evening. The park just a few blocks away has been completely redone and is the perfect spot for watching the sun set over beautiful Lake Michigan.

The only thing is the beach is a HIKE need to be fit to actually make or it to the water or be willing to drive about 15 to 20 min.

Diana house was very easy to find. The road where the home is located is a busy street with a 35 MPH speed limit which we were not expecting but it is located in a beautiful neighborhood. It is about 200 yards from Lake Michigan but there is no lake access or beach. There is a street that dead ends into a lookout spot. The house is very large and spacious with all 5 beds being king size and all very comfortable. The 5th bedroom is in the basement that is only partially finished with no privacy other than some curtains hanging in the doorway leading to the basement. It's basically large full basement with a partial wall with indoor outdoor carpeting where the bed is with the washer and dryer and other basement items like the hot water heater just sitting exposed in the open.. i am not sure I would call this a bedroom. The master bath off the main bedroom has a toilet sink and tub with a shower. The shared upstairs bathroom has a toilet sink and shower but the 3rd full bath is misleading. On the lower level there is a bathroom with a toilet and sink with no shower or tub. The shower is very oddly placed in the corner of the basement next to the washer and dryer with no privacy at all other than a freestanding divider in this large full wide open basement. The height of the shower is only slightly over 6 feet and not lit. This is a very old home built in the 60's so expect the water pressure and things like that to be not what you normally have at home. The yard is great and spacious and also fenced if you have little ones and you four legged friend. The fire pit was great as well as the patio in front of the home. If you are looking for a large space where people can have their own personal space this house is for you. The bedrooms were huge and all with comfortable king beds. The main floor of the house is spacious as well. We enjoyed the location with numerous fast food and restaurants within a mile. Downtown St Joe's is only about a 8 minute car ride and the same to Silver Beach. Diana was great to work with and very responsive to any questions we had. The first morning we couldn't find the coffee filters and texted her and she showed up a few minutes later with coffee from McDonalds for everyone along with the filters. There is plenty of parking as well with space for 3-4 vehicles. In closing we enjoyed our stay and Diana's home mostly due to the spacious rooms and large lot that the property sits on.

Disappointing
Diana was pleasant, helpful and easy to communicate with. The home however, is the worst I've stayed in through VRBO. The carpet was filthy (Diana even told us as we were walking through the house when we got there, that she strategically placed furniture to hide stains on the carpet). There are 3 showers in the home and the only one with any water pressure was in the basement. The hot water in the downstair's bathroom sink came out in a trickle (no exaggeration, it took 20 seconds to wet a washcloth so I could wash my face). The kitchen was well stocked with quality dishes, cookware and utensils, but the coffee pot (inexpensive Mr. Coffee) had obviously had the carafe broken at some time and instead of buying another inexpensive coffee pot, the carafe was replaced with one that didn't fit the machine, so putting the carafe in place for brewing and taking it off the burner to pour the coffee was a struggle (needed to tug on the carafe while holding the coffee maker still, in order to pick it up for pouring). The basement "bedroom" is basically an unfinished room, with laundry equipment, hot water heater, etc., in the same room as the bed (room dividers and sheets hung as curtains were present to hide some of the mechanicals). Diana advertises her home as being a 5 minute walk to the beach. Unfortunately the beach was washed away last fall and it is now a cliff with no beach access. I feel that this should have been mentioned as an update in her description. She also advertises the house as an "executive" home. It was in no way executive quality. Diana did ask a couple of times during our stay if everything was okay, but as our issues were not something that could be fixed during our stay, I did not mention them to her. The house is big and could be a beautiful home, but it seems Diana is renting it out in order to get the funds to fix it up?

Great home in a quiet neighborhood
This home was perfect for our visit to St. Joseph. The home is clean, comfortable and set in a very pretty part of town, close to the lake. Diana was terrific to work with and went above and beyond to make sure that we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Glass beach house
Home needs curtains in MB and Mbath. MBath did not have much water pressure. Kitchen was great! Lots of space in the house. Nice peaceful yard. Bedrooms were huge with comfy beds. Two of the bedrooms could use drawers for clothing if staying for longer periods of time. It was not walking distance to a beach The closet one was about 2.5 miles away. The bakery is not right across the street as stated. It was about 3 blocks away with no sidewalks on a fairly busy street. Everything was provided that you would need. Great fire pit! Needs a TV in the main living space. The towels were very nice but could have used a few more. There were eight of us and the girls like to use two towels each. We made do but extras would be nice. Overall the house is older and in need of some updates and repairs. However it provided everything we needed. The owner said they were going to do a renovation at the end of this season so we are excited to see what that brings. We would stay here again.

We had a great stay at The Glass House. The location was decent to several beaches and restaurants. The house was clean and was stocked with most necessities. We had 8 adults and still had a spare room. It was a great weekend at the beach!

Home for 10 in Stevensville
Everything as described, but it would have been nice to know the house was multiple levels and that one of the bedrooms was the basement. The plumbing and electrical were a bit below what I would expect (a toilet and sink that did not flush easily and drain, respectively, lighting and wiring that did not seem to be able to handle heavier loads, exposed electrical). The house otherwise fit our needs in terms of space, yard, and location. The kitchen was well stocked, towels provided, W/D new, A/C worked well. Thank you for hosting us in your home!
