Welcoming, cosy, home style cottage with everything you could need for a relaxing break away. The gardens are beautiful for walking in with plenty of spots for sitting outdoors. The cottage is so well equipped and tastefully styled. We did not want our holiday to end and would definitely love to return. Thank you so much to our amazing hosts Jenny and Mark.

3 of us were here from Melbourne to visit a student on a school camp in Bowral. It was one of the busiest weekend in the highland I have ever experienced.
The cottage was splendid, clean, warm perfect of 3 or 2 couples. Both bedrooms have ensuites, The kitchen is well equipped and Jenny is a thoughtful and caring host.
Highly recommended.

Mark & Jennifer are very lovely hosts, is very lovely of them to provide those Easter eggs and special Easter foods. The house is private and very gorgeous House, the House pictures couldn’t express how beautiful the house is until you step your feet into the house.

A comfortable property with lots of thoughtful touches.

Idyllic spot close to Mittagong and Bowral townships and but far enough away to appreciate the natural surroundings. Perfect setup for 2 couples with queen rooms and ensuites and communal living area with smart tv. Very clean with all the thoughtful extras provided for breakfast etc. Plus the benefit of very friendly and helpful hosts.

This place is a FIND. Tucked away in the bush at the end of a quiet street (watch for the kangaroos at dusk!).
We found it easy to prepare a full dinner between electric pans and gas BBQ, but it's also super convenient to all the villages of the highlands.
Our hosts were warm and generous.
Highly recommended.

Everything was perfect for our stay. It’s tucked away in a private garden area, yet close to restaurants and shops. We had everything for a yummy breakfast. Wifi signal is weak, so you may want to bring a portable booster if you need to work. Enjoy!

A comfortable place, with generous breakfast supplies. Our second stay and hopefully more to come.

This is a beautiful cottage. My only disappointment was I didn’t note there was no cook top or oven and I brought food to cook for a long stay.

Really enjoyed our time at Laughing Kookaburra Cottage. Breakfast ingredients were a really great touch. Was a great place to come home and unwind after a hard days work.
Clean and very comfortable beds.

Tastefully decorated with the warmth of feeling “at home” as soon as you arrive. Everything you need, including some you didn’t, is available in this lovely cottage. Offering beautiful gardens to wonder through or sit and read a book in a shady spot.
I would certainly recommend a stay at the Laughing Kookaburra Cottage and look forward to my next visit.

Outlook both front and back was pretty.
Our Hosts were charming and we wanted for nothing.

Quiet, green, hilly location surrounded by native and exotic plants.
Immaculate accommodation with a "welcome home" feel created by stacked bookshelves, sundry art pieces, comfortable furniture, great heating/aircon, attractive dishes/glassware and excellent insect screens.
A good number of power points in each room, plus generous bedding and extra throws added further ease to our stay.
I can easily imagine a revisit in future...

The Laughing Kookaburra is the ideal location for a Southern Highlands getaway - private, well-appointed, cosy, great breakfast options included and fabulous hosts who are very welcoming, there if you need them, but not intrusive at all. We will stay here again.

This was a lovely property for our group of six adults, it was well laid out and fitted us comfortably. The surroundings were beautiful and the peace was only broken by the kookaburras. Lovely linen, comfy beds and thoughtful touches like chocolates and hot cross buns were a highlight. Would recommend as a handy launchpad to the Highlands.

Although spending time with family in Bowral the Laughing Kookaburra was very close and convenient.
Three rooms each with the bathroom was perfect for us and our adult kids.
Great to see a family (mob) of kangaroos living on the property down the back.
We’d definitely stay again.

We enjoyed our 5 night stay in this peaceful home, close to shopping, bushwalks and all the local attractions. Having bathroom facilities attached to each room was great- lots of privacy for adult visitors.

Beautifully well presented house . It was great having two bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and two parking spots. The house had a continental breakfast and was heated when we arrived. The only suggestion is the bathroom fans tun on with the light so they were a bit noisy

What a lovely place to spend a couple of nights with friends. Set on an acre, the property is quiet and private with lovely gardens to explore. Was a convenient location for wine tours and a short drive to Mittagong or Bowral to shop or get food. Would recommend for friends or family groups.

This was a beautiful, tranquil place to stay. The property itself was very spacious & incredibly comfortable. Our hosts were very welcoming, & anxious to ensure we were comfortable and well-informed of walks and restaurants in the neighbourhood. Both wallabies & abundant bird life enriched our stay. Breakfast on the deck overlooking the garden was memorable.
