Un « petit » coin de paradis
Havre de paix spacieux et confortable à quelques minutes de la plage et de tout ce qu’offre l’île … on pose ses valises … et on profite du gigantesque jardin et des deux terrasses. Villa super équipée, avec tout à disposition … et des vélos pour circuler en toute liberté! Une de nos plus belles locations! Propriétaire disponible et réactif. Merci Patrick pour toutes les informations et les conseils. Nous reviendrons, sans hésiter !

Fantastic 2 weeks
The description shown on the website is very accurate and the booking process was simple. The property is terrific. Although the house can accommodate 8 people, we travelled as a couple with our 2 Labrador dogs. We chose the property because of the description and reviews. We were not disappointed, the house is very well equipped and has a massive garden which our dog’s loved. We felt comfortable that they were safe even when out of sight. The location is also very good, 10 minutes from the nearest supermarket in St Pierre and 10 minutes walk to the nearest beach. Trips to places like Rochefort and La Rochelle are also within easy reach. The owner Patrick, visited us on the mid Saturday to ensure that all was well. He speaks good English so any Brits should feel comfortable. In summary, a great rental which suited us perfectly and I would recommend to anyone wanting a peaceful holiday in a modern, well equipped house.

Un petit coin de paradis
Le confort et la luminosité de la maison alliés à un parc magnifique ont fait de notre séjour une réussite. Le lieu est ressourçant et un point de départ idéal pour visiter l’ile. Le propriétaire a de plus été plein d’attentions et compréhensif pour des demandes particulières. Nous recommandons cette location sans restrictions.

Wir haben uns vor allem durch das große Grundstück inspirieren lassen und sind nicht enttäuscht worden. Ein absoluter Traum mit selten erlebter Privatsphäre. Ganz leise hört man das Meer, je nach Windrichtung rauschen, sonst nichts.
Das Haus bestichst vor allem durch die Küche, das Wohnzimmer und das neue Bad. Die Bilder repräsentieren das sehr gut. Für uns war es in natura noch besser.
Wir waren dort im Winter und trotz aller Abgeschiedenheit gab es in der Nähe sehr gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wie zum Beispiel mehrere Märkte.
Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

We had a wonderful time in La Cabane. The house is perfectly equipped, all you need is available and it is also comfortable. The terraces, the garden and the area are absolutely amazing! You have the feeling you are alone on this part of the island and the silence is unique!

Eine erholsame Woche in einem tollen Haus
Wir verbrachten mit vier Personen und einem Hund eine schöne Ferienwoche in diesem wunderschönen Ferienhaus. Das Haus liegt wunderschön, etwas abseits der Stadt, und wird von einem sehr gepflegten parkähnlichen Gelände umgeben, das unser Hund sehr geschätzt hat. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet und bietet auch für 6-8 Personen genügend Platz, um gemeinsam zu kochen und zu essen. Die tolle Ausstattung und gute Qualität der Geräte muss man wirklich betonen - es hat uns diesmal nichts gefehlt und wir hätten einige Dinge, die wir aus Erfahrung mit anderen Ferienhäusern immer mitnehmen, auch zu Hause lassen können. Im großen Wohnzimmer und in einem Schlafzimmer gibt es einen Fernseher mit SAT Empfang, allerdings werden keine deutschen Sender empfangen (was uns nicht gestört hat). Das WLAN funktionierte in allen Räumen tadellos, sodass man bei Bedarf über ein HDMI Kabel auch Sendungen auf das Fernsehgerät übertragen könnte. Alle Zimmer waren liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Wegen des etwas regnerischen Herbstwetters konnten wir die tolle Außenanlage mit Tischtennisplatte, Grill, Außenbestuhlung etc. nicht so oft nutzen - aber auch hier besticht das Haus mit einem tollen und reichhaltigen Angebot. Das Meer erreicht man zu Fuß in etwa 10 Minuten und wir (und der Hund) haben die langen Spaziergänge am Strand und hinter den windschützenden Dünen sehr genossen. In Saint-Pierre d'Oléron, 10 Minuten mit dem Auto entfernt, findet man mehrere große Supermärkte, aber auch einige gute kleine Geschäfte, in denen man z.B. Muscheln und Fisch kaufen kann. Der Hausherr, Patrick, hat uns sehr gut betreut, einige gute Tipps und Hinweise gegeben und nach unserer Ankunft und vor unserer Abfahrt kontaktiert. Auch Catherine und Daniel, die das Haus vor Ort betreuen, waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und trotz unserer schlechten Französischkenntnisse haben wir uns gut verständigen können und verstanden gefühlt. Insgesamt war es eine wirklich tolle Zeit in einem sehr schönen Haus, in dem wir uns wirklich zuhause gefühlt haben. Wir kommen gerne noch einmal wieder!

Statisfaction complète
Voilà un séjour à recommander sans réserve. L'environnement est de grande qualité avec un grand domaine et un jardin qui invitent à la détente. La maison est spacieuse, parfaitement équipée et totalement conforme à la description et/ou photos. Aucune mauvaise surprise. C'est un chance d'avoir des endroits préservés comme celui-là. Côté pratique, arrivée et départ sans complication. L'océan est à quelques minutes à pied et/ou vélo (6 vélos compris dans la location). La plage est au pied d'une dune de sable fin, la baignade est plutôt de type rochers avec pêche à pied. A une dizaine de minutes en voiture, larges plages de sable fin. Comme on se trouve au milieu de l'Ile, tout est accessible en 15-20 minutes en voiture: centre commercial à 5 minutes, visite des villages et/ou sites touristiques. Une excursion sur le continent à La Rochelle est plutôt à conseiller avec un bateau-navette (50 minutes). Sinon, en voiture à Rochefort ou plus près sur le continent.

Magnifique!
Nous avons été comblés: la maison est très belle, parfaitement propre et superbement équipée, et le parc est magnifique. Nous connaissons bien l'Ile d'Oléron et avons particulièrement apprécié la localisation de la maison, très proche de la plage et à courte distance des commodités, mais loin de toute agitation. Le propriétaire ainsi que les contacts sur place ont été disponibles, claires et gentils. En somme, après beaucoup de voyages, c'est la location que nous avons préféré - un grand merci et nous espérons vivement revenir.

Très agréable
Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à La Cabane. Tout était conforme à la description du propriétaire. C'est une très jolie propriété au calme, confortable où nous avons pu nous ressourcer en famille. Dommage, une semaine c'est court quand on vient de loin. Merci pour le plan d'arrivée, les suggestions restaurants et la relation générale.

un endroit exceptionnel autant pour l' emplacement à 5 mn à pied de l' océan que pour l' habitation au top des aménagements.L'accueil parfait tout était à la hauteur de nos besoins. Un très beau lieu à réserver les yeux fermés!!!

« Merveilleux » tout simplement
Qu une envie c est d y revenir encore et encore et y passer plus de temps. Les 2 séjours de 3 semaines (2018 2019) ont confirmé que nous ne nous lassons pas de cette Cabane.
Nous l apprécions pour sa situation exceptionnelle, qu à 5 min de la mer, nichée au milieu d un immense parc arboré et fleuri de toutes variétés. Seul le chant des oiseaux des grillons et de l océan ,parfois, « trouble » ce havre de paix!
Cette belle maison blanche lumineuse de pleins pieds dotée de portes fenêtres ou fenêtres dans toutes les pièces (sb et wc inclus) permet d admirer la généreuse nature.
Tout est idéalement pensé et conçu par le propriétaire.
Une grande table en bois et ses bans trônent au centre d une cuisine hyper équipée et ultra moderne.
Les deux salons et leurs confortables canapés nous invitent à la flânerie.
N oublions pas les deux terrasses judicieusement orientées de manière à satisfaire nos envies d ombre ou de soleil.
Nous remercions à nouveau Patrick Rousselle pour l attention qu il porte au bien être de ses hôtes.
Et nous nous réjouissons de revoir Catherine et Daniel les accueillants gardiens du domaine.

Un nouveau chez-soi à quelques mètres de l'eau
Superbe propriété protégée par un grand parc arboré, à quelques mètres de la plage et parfaitement au calme. La maison dispose de tout ce dont vous pourrez avoir besoin. Les 4 chambres sont spacieuses et disposent d'une excellente literie, le vaste salon est idéal pour des soirées chaleureuses. La maison à notre arrivée était parfaitement propre et prête à nous accueillir. A louer sans hésiter pour une parenthèse au calme.

A la Cabane, la perfection peut encore s'ajouter à la perfection.
Notre troisième séjour à La Cabane nous a prouvé que la perfection pouvait encore s'offrir le luxe de progresser !
En effet, nous avions déjà été séduits, lors de nos séjours précédents par tous les avantages offerts par cette maison, comme le confirment les commentaires de tous ses occupants.
Nous mentionnerons simplement que la présentation de Patrick Rousselle est à la fois impeccable et exhaustive concernant la description tant intérieure qu'extérieure de la maison, l'accès aux différentes plages avec leurs particularités, les activités accessibles sur l'île, et à proximité immédiate (visites de Brouage, Marennes...).
Le confort, le goût, la fonctionnalité du mobilier et des aménagements témoignent d'une attention très pointue d'un propriétaire soucieux d'élégance et de perfection.
La cuisine et la salle de bains (entre les chambres 1 et 2) ont été rénovées alors qu' elles étaient déjà très belles.
Une nouvelle cabane de jardin est prête à abriter des intempéries une escouade de vélos, et le jardin immédiat s'orne d'une cohorte de palmiers.
L'immensité du parc (6ha...) permet d'y apercevoir de temps en temps le passage d'une biche.
Une météo parfaite a ajouté sa touche de bonheur pour rendre notre séjour complètement idyllique.
Toutes nos félicitations à Patrick pour la présentation, l'entretien et l'organisation du séjour dans cette maison dont nous ne sommes pas près de nous lasser...

Sehr gute Ausstattung und Lage. Der Vermieter Patrick ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Privatsphäre perfekt. Zustand des Hauses, der Einrichtung und des Grundstücks ist top (Küche und Hauptbad wurden im März 2018 erneuert). Ganz klare Empfehlung!

This is a lovely property and I highly recommend it. We were 2x families of 4 and found it very spacious. The kichen was fully equipped with plenty of large pots and pans to cook for 8. The terrace was very spacious and enough space outside for games or sunbathing - so much more land than we expected. It is very peaceful and only a 10 minute walk to the local beach.
There are two shops in the village where you can get your fresh bread in the morning and it is only 10 minutes drive from St Pierre D'Oleron to the supermarket. The village is perfectly situated to visit La Cotiniere and a the other beaches on the west coast, particularly La Perroche which is a lovely cove and safe to use kayaks and inflatables. If you want a bit of excitement then head for La Grande Plage, a great beach for bodyboarding and surfers - the waves are high and provide hours of fun.
The island of Oleron is a relaxing place to be with plenty of places to eat. No where is more than a 20 minute drive so it's lovely to eat out in different places. Fresh fish is in abundance and very reasonable compared to the UK!
We had such a great fortnight we felt that we'd been there longer. We would definitely return to this property in the future. Patrick (the owner) is very helpful by email or telephone should you need to contact him (and he speaks good English).

This is a lovely property and I highly recommend it. We were 2x families of 4 and found it very spacious. The kichen was fully equipped with plenty of large pots and pans to cook for 8.
