This home was much more spacious than what the pictures show. The deck space is incredible and the home was well stocked, clean, and comfortable. All 8 of us had a great time in the house and on the beach just outside.

Very cute cottage, so close to the beach we couldn't believe it, crow's nest had amazing views. Definitely where we were every morning with our coffee!

Despite the weather we had a great stay at Surfshack 6. It’s well appointed with all you’ll need. Cozy and comfortable in a quiet area of Nags Head. Great views from the crows nest and a nice screened porch to enjoy the sea air.
Gen was available for any questions we had. Thanks for the relaxing vacation.

The property was clean and very well stocked. Location is awesome, short walk to the beach. If you are looking for an ultra modern beach castle, this isn't it. But, we weren't and it fit the bill perfectly. We enjoyed the surf motif and pictures. This is the type of place I vacationed in as a kid, but with...an Ice Maker! I was amazed at how much we used it. Always had a cold drink!
Owners were easy to deal with and check-in/check-out were a breeze. Communication was great. The only downside was the rough surf due to offshore hurricane kept us out of the water. I did manage a fishing trip on one of the nearby charters and caught some tuna. Love the Outer Banks, really enjoyed our stay. Hope to get back here someday.

We really enjoyed our stay at "Surf Shack 6". The location in South Nags was wonderful. I would highly recommend the Surf Shack 6 if you are looking for a relaxing week of family vacation on the Outer Banks.

Everything was amazing! Communication with the owners was always quick and helpful. Checking in was a breeze. This property is great. Only second house away from the beach and no roads to cross! That was very important us since we have a handi-capable family member. The beach house itself was just perfect. Equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. Except of course for sheets and towels but who wouldn’t want to bring their own? I especially loved the homey touches and decorations that make this beach house feel like a home. From the decor in the family room to the pictures of the family. Just a wonderful place for our vacation and we really lucked into it at the last minute. Thank you guys for opening your home to us! My grandkids want to come back again. ❤️

We just spent a terrific holiday week at the Surf Shack. Perfect location with great ocean views from the crows nest and a very short walk to the beach. The house was very comfortable, well maintained with everything you could possibly need. The owners were very helpful and super accommodating. Nags Head and the Outer Banks in general are great in the off- season and plenty of restaurants are open. Loved it here and would come back again in a heartbeat!

My family and I had a wonderful time, great location close to Fish Heads bar and grill and fat boys ice cream. The house was perfect with us with everything we needed to prep and serve meals. The ice machine was a huge bonus, we’ve never been lucky enough to find a property with one. The owners checked in by text which was appreciated to open that line of communication. Would recommend!

Be cautious renters, I was charged a fee for the master bath tub that had standing water over ankle deep every time you showered. Was told the tub didn’t drain because I bathed my dog in the tub, they have a nice outdoor hose area on the deck that is a very convenient area to wash your dog that I used everyday. Also, the shower knob didn’t work when I arrived, but I sucked that up. The shower / tub did not have a hand rail or slip protection, so be cautious about falling, especially if you are older. We enjoyed staying at the surf shack and the location was great.

We had a great week at the Surf Shack! This house was a perfect fit for our family of 5 adults and dogs. The location was great and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen was well appointed with an ice maker, pots and pans, dishes, glasses/cups, spices, gadgets, etc.. We loved sitting out on the deck and listening to the ocean. The house was only a few steps to the beach and located between 2 piers which we enjoyed walking to. We plan on visting the Surf Shack again!

Great beach house!
We loved our stay here. The real selling point was the location which is just over a dune from the beach. It took just under a minute and a half from the front door to our beach chairs on the beach. The house itself was well equipped and was great for our two families of 4. Lastly, the host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. Overall a great experience!

THIS IS NOT THE HOUSE RENTED, ALTHOUGH THE HOUSE PICTURED IS THE NICEST ONE OF FOUR IN THE GROUP. THE HOUSE YOU RENT IS BEHIND HOUSE PICTURED AND NOT NEARLY AS NICE AS THE ONE PICTURED AND I THINK THIS IS FALSE ADVERTISING, AT LEAST IT WAS FOR US. THE HOUSE WAS DIRTY, DIRTY DIRTY...SAND AND ACCUMULATED DIRT EVERYWHERE. WE ALSO KILLED 4 COCKROACHES. ALSO, IT IS A 2 STORY HOUSE WITH ENTRY ONTO MAIN LEVEL UP A FLIGHT OF STAIRS.
