It has a nice vibe, nice garden, good breakfast - 6 choices. Early check in was possible for a fee.
Our room didn’t come with a window, what was kind of lame.
Huaraz is kind of a hiking capital or at least very very popular with hikers in Peru - one should expect muddy shoes etc. Well.. that mud and dirt can be found in bathrooms too. Maybe the staff should check from time to time in the afternoon how bathrooms are kept, or.. well, us, tourist should do the same after we use those shared facilities.

The place was dirty. The management organized a massive party in the main hallway and garden. The music was terribly loud and the party ended in the early morning. This is not exactly what you expect to find in a hotel in the mountains where you wish to rest before doing outdoor activities.

It's a bit outside of the city, so it's very calm and the nature is picturesque. The hostel has a lot of murals around, and is very serene.
Wish breakfast/coffee prices were reasonable compared to prices outside of the city. I understand that accommodations charge more, but their prices are more than double - which meant there's no reason for me not to walk 6 minutes and get it for half price.

It's a nice and stylish place - with a few common areas (like the kitchen, etc.). It's located in a relatively quiet area, outside the town center.
Above our room, unfortunately, there was a common area. During our first night, there was a dance class beyond 11 pm (I had to go up and intervene) and thus prevented us from immediately sleeping (we had to wake up early for a booked tour!). During the second night, there was a DJ and a party going on until the early morning, also making it difficult very to sleep.
In my opinion, the Selina here in Huaraz focuses too much on doing entertainment events and less on providing a good sleeping environment.

The food was good just a little over priced. I got a massage after an intense day of tour. The internet was always good.
The staff was just ok, I went with a car and no body helped me opening the gate I had to do it myself all the time. My first room has a problem with the shower so they switched my room which was smaller and not that clean. Also the location is kind a far from the center.

During our trip in Peru - staying at Selina in Huaraz was one of the best places.
It’s such a warm, welcoming and fun place to stay in the middle of nowhere. Probably the best in Huaraz.
We really appreciated the tips the crew & manager gave us. We weren’t prepared very well but they helped us with the rental of hiking sticks, etc.
We had already stayed in different Selina Hotels but this one was better.

Staff was very helpful throughout stay. Being able to books tours through Selina rather than walking around town and checking with various tour offices was very beneficial.
Like other Selina properties, it was loud.

The hotel administrator did a good job hiving us back our money when we complained about the load music and we went to another hotel
it was not a very nice building, staff were rood, there was a 3 day really load party in the Hotel that made it impossible to sleep.

Nice and charming.
Cozy, young, touristy feel. I just wish we didn’t have to download and check in thru the APP as a requirement; which I have never in my life been required to do before. Now I cant stop getting so ads and spam even though I firmly declined to get the app and they had to do a manual check in since their app wasn’t working well anyway. it was inconvenient since we were ready to rest after a long day travel and a following super early wake up for a tour.

I loved that I was able to get an upgrade so quickly. I needed a place to just sleep after some sleepless night, and I wanted privacy. It did just that.

The food at the lobby restaurant was actually very good. Their in house Mountain Guide was very helpful.
Our first night they hosted a 90s style dance party with pretty loud music, but no one really showed up and they continued to play loud music until 2am even though no one was down stairs dancing. Some people staying there asked multiple times for them to turn the music down but they refused.

Selina always has a great design.
Breakfast was very good and bar staff very friendly.
Room of a decent size, facilities clean.
They had a tour desk which was great.
5 days before arrival I have contacted the hostel asking for them to get me a taxi transfer to the hotel on a day of arrival. Messeges were read (it was through Whatsapp), but never replied to. I texted again and after a few general questions they stopped replying again. All I needed was a taxi to get to the place as I was arriving late at night after 33h travel time. They never booked me one. Once I arrived at a hostel I was told that they had too many guests and didnt have time to book me a taxi (it only takes 3min tho).
I had a window in my room but I could never leave it open or open the curtains as it opened into a terrace where people were walking by.
The place is a bit outside the city center so as a solo female I did not feel safe leaving the hostel once it's dark outside.
There was something with the toilet doors as 3 of them would seem to be busy or locked at 3am almost everynight, not very convenient.
It's not a good place to mingle as their main activities were yoga, and the common area too large and people scattered all around.

nice bar
the stuff was terrible didn’t help, wanted to charge extra for stuff I wasn’t told before and when I refused to pay they told me that I cannot stay at the hostel anymore and kicked me out 3 hours before my bus.

The lobby and and the restaurant had a great vibe. The food was quite good. The room was clean, small and simple. The staff was very helpful.
On Saturdays there is a party with great music but the music was loud and continued till 4:00.

The hotel/hostel is aesthetically pleasing. It has all the colours, comfy cushions that you could ask for. The breakfast is also quite nice with eggs made to order. The rooms are basic but very clean.
Couldn't sleep at all. This hostel/hotel hosts parties every single weekend. This fact is not on Booking.com and you are only informed once you check-in. After travelling more than 18 hours to get to Huaraz, we had to endure a huge party in the evening lasting until 4am. To really paint the picture I'm talking a professional DJ with speakers, with music vibrating the floor/windows of your room until 4am.
That paired with the fact the excursions (which are organised by the hotel with a 3rd party organiser start at 4:30am - 7am, ends up with a very unhappy mix.
I complained to the manager at 3am (mid-party) who implied its my fault I didn't know about the party because I'd booked through Booking.com and not direct. I think this is a poor excuse because as soon as I'd booked Selina, they spammed me every week leading up to the arrival date asking if I want to be picked up from the airport for a fee. They could have slipped in there at any point that by the way they would be hosting a massive party the weekend we arrived.
We endured one night only, and the next day (Sunday), music started up again early afternoon. It is impossible to sleep or rest in this place without music booming. We checked out after 1 night and demanded a refund which they did in the end give us. We checked into another hotel which was so much better.
While this place looks great - they don't have the basics right which is allowing their guests the opportunity for good sleep. The fact this is a party hotel on weekend should be explicitly written somewhere on Booking.com. I am unable to recommend this establishment as the fact we couldn't sleep at all negatively impacted our first couple of days in Huaraz.

It's a great hostel like most of the selinas, good wifi, showers and location
The kitchen is not in good shape, it's not very good for the quality of selina hostels and the light in the room was very bad

I thoroughly enjoyed my staying at Selina. The room had a good size and was very cozy. The bed was very comfy. The staff is friendly and organises nice activities every day. I really felt at home. One of the best hotels in town

I loved the mountain view from the balcony. The entire facility was clean and beautiful.
I strongly recommended to the entire personnel to demonstrate warmth (pleasant gestures) when interacting with the costumer. However, they were respectful but a bit cold with their character.
Although is nice to have courtesy breakfast as part of the stay, my additional food order was quite inflated in price. Please remember that tourists travel a lot and are good at gauging prices and quality.

the living room
The attention and the bedroom. The hotel doesn’t want to deliver my ID document. When I do the check-out, the recepcionists were drunk and they didn’t return my ID document. Now I’m in another city, and they said don’t have the shipping service and don’t have the intention to help.
