Renovated Downtown Lexington Apartment
About this condo rental
We bought this 1948 home in December 2013. We renovated the downstairs apartment and rented it right away on an annual lease. Then we decided to renovate and furnish the upstairs apartment for travelers to Lexington. We thought it may work because the apartment is so centrally located in downtown Lexington, in Historic Northside Neighborhood, is pretty and has its own walled garden. In fact, it is only steps away from Jefferson Street, with lots of choices in, a brewery, restaurants and an upscale wine market. It was SO successful that as soon as the downstairs lease was up we renovated and furnished it too. While the apartments are similar (two bedroom with queen sized beds and one bath) there are differences. Upstairs you have access to the attic, which we have not worked on yet, a screened in porch, and a slightly larger bathroom. Downstairs is slightly larger; it has a separate dining room and access to the basement, which, while it is not special on its own, it does have a second washer and dryer. Both have use of the front porch and lovely back garden with its table and chairs and various plantings.

What a great apartment in a great location. We parked our car and walked everywhere during our stay. We were so pleased with the apartment when we walked in. We are hoping to visit Lexington again and will definitely try and stay at this location.

The property was perfect for our quick visit to see our daughter and go to Keeneland. Great location to blue heron and nice bar that was an old service station.

We have very good friends in Lexington so we came here for a short stay. This apartment was a perfect place for us to unwind after a full day and night of socializing. Would not hesitate for a second to rent again.

We were a little apprehensive about booking a place to stay in such close proximity to a downtown city with which we were not familiar. The location was great. We had no issues with safety. We walked to nearby shops and gelato on Saturday and brunch on Sunday. Beds were comfortable. Stayed with my mom and my teenage daughter. Would stay again.

One bedroom appeared to have some sort of ceiling damage

In transit while waiting for my house closing in the area and needed a final location for myself and 2 large dogs. This was the perfect place! Quiet, everything we needed, super neighbors downstairs with playful pups who became friends. Couldn’t ask for a better experience!

This was very convenient location to stay since graduation was early in the morning. Was nice to have ironing board for clothes for graduation.

We enjoyed staying a long weekend in this historic home. The home is located in a historic neighborhood that had the appeal of days gone by. The yard is set nicely and makes good use of the available landscaping quite well.
I liked the overall nostalgic vibes of the old home and would stay again.

Very old extremely drafty loud house. Stairs are in the back right of the house, no one tells you that when you check in when it's dark and raining you can't find them, no outside lights were on. Water pressure in bathroom is terrible must use kitchen sink, keypad is temperamental especially when you can't see it in the dark. Pillows are stained and old. No local TV channels available it would have been nice to see local weather during a winter storm.

The space was nicely furnished with lots of extra amenities for the bath and kitchen, including cozy terrycloth robes! Teri provided a lot of very good information about the apartment and our itinerary throughout the week.

This was a nice quiet location and walking distance from many good places to eat, have drinks, and some little shops. The owners provided a helpful binder full of great recommendations of things to see & do as well as places to eat while visiting Lexington. I used several of them and plan to use more of them when I return. The complimentary snacks and toiletries were a welcome addition.

Great restaurants within walking distance. We enjoyed walking in the historical area. We brought our small dog and he was happy there too. Very comfortable!

Garden in back yard was awesome, and I can only imagine how beautiful it will be in the summer. Easy check in process and Teri responded immediately to my questions. We came for a concert at the Rupp arena and location was ideal. Easy walking distance to the arena and many upscale restaraunts. Numerous parking spots available in the street. We loved our stay and highly recommend Teri's beautiful home.
