I stayed at this cottage for three nights. It was an ok stay overall
Great things:
- Very quiet area, cottage neighborhood in a forest
- Has many things one needs to stay independently (utensils, pots, pans, etc.)
- The patio is really nice and unique space to enjoy
- Great location to explore the area. Lots of different things to see within 30 minutes drive
Not so great things:
- The property is on a steep, winding hill. Not inaccessible but certainly takes some care to drive, especially at night. If you're afraid of heights or narrow, windy roads, may not be for you
- The cottage wasn't totally clean. Thick layers of dust on the ceiling beams and ledges. A lot of the utensils, pots and pans had food residue and had to be rewashed
- The cottage could get stuffy and had to keep a window open
- Very tiny shower, barely room to move
- Someone entered the cottage without notice while I was away for the day. I discovered on my return that a light was on and windows were opened. Some possessions were moved but nothing was taken. This was unsettling. Seems the cleaning crew entered accidently
- I couldn't figure out how to control the hot tub. It was lukewarm. There are few instructions provided and the labels for controls on the tub are worn out
- I couldn't get the fire table lit despitethe instructions. I gave up on this
Wanted quiet time so I didn't reach out during my stay. Shared this feedback with the owner afterwards. She was responsive and we came to a resolution.

Loved the property. So cozy and tucked away into the woods. We got there in pouring rain and immediately got into the hot tub. Though it was pouring rain, being in the tub overlooking the redwoods was amazingly tranquil. The directions for check in and arrival were clear and there was no shortage of communication. I would stay here again.

We had a nice time. Relaxing area but tight streets and never wanted to come home after dark. The house was dog friendly, but didnt feel like activities around the area were as dog friendly as advertised (no fault of the vrbo, just a recommendation to leave the K9s at home if you visit... Maybe a winter recommendation) if you want to unwind and keep it lowkey for a good price 10/10 recommend.

This place is so cute! My boyfriend and I really liked staying here, and have no complaints. Our only thing is that the parking spot is just barely big enough for a midsize SUV, so be warned that if you have anything bigger than a BMW X3, you won’t be able to park here.

The property had everything we needed for a cozy weekend away from the city! We loved the fire table, the hot tub, and the stove in the cabin. Instructions were clear and the cabin was nicely maintained and cleaned. We also loved the privacy of the backyard.

This cabin was exactly what we were looking for. Self contained and with extras such as fire table and hot tub. Private and quiet, it was a wonderful way to enjoy being in the middle of the forest.Guerneville is an amazing little town with some excellent restaurant offerings. We both really enjoyed Brot and Boon (two separate establishments). The day we left, we went to Tamales Bay and had lunch at Nick’s Cove where we indulged in baked oysters that had a zippy barbecue sauce. So delicious! We look forward to coming back and perhaps staying a little longer.

This property is lovely both inside and out. There are two outside decks and different level with a fantastic hottub and sense that you are in the middle of the woods. The air smells lovely. The outdoor lighting is automatic which makes it easy to use the hot tub in the evening. It's also pretty private. I had some issues with the outside grill and Keurig which were remediated by a visit from the repairman. Great location for visiting the Sonoma coast state parks, which are about an hour away, as well as the nearby redwood park. The unit is perfect for one person or a couple.

The cottage was cozy! The outdoor space is perfect to wind down after a long day at the river. We loved having an enclosed space for the dog to explore. The hot tub was awesome too.
Only recommendation is to dust the wood rafters.

This was the perfect spot for two people to enjoy quite tranquility in the forest. There are neighbors all around, but we did not hear very much noise the whole time. The hot tub was great. They do have all the basic cooking utensils and spices, but I would recommend bringing cooking oil or spray. The location is nearby the river, restaurants and grocery store.

We loved our stay. The patio was our favorite place and the hot tub. We had a very relaxing stay.
The only complaint is the bathroom feels like it is sloping and the kitchen also.

What an adorable rental ~ it was like being in a tree house, the way the decks and house are built on the hill with in the trees.
Everything was thought out to make your stay comfortable. It was a perfect location to everything in the area.

Cottage was very cute and quaint. Comfortable bed and adequate kitchen for two. Amenities on the deck were stylish and cute. Hot tub was a treat and very clean. Only critism, and a minor one at that, would be the BBQ grill outside needed an update. Location was superb in that it was close to downtown Guerneville and Johnson's Beach, a short drive of less than five minutes.

It's a beautiful little studio/cottage but was much smaller than our initial expectations. Being surrounded by trees can be a positive or a negative depending on if you prefer to have a bit more of a view. Otherwise comfortable bed, and the terrace area is very nice to hang out in at night.

This was the perfect place for a badly needed brief retreat. The redwood shadows, birdsong, and fresh air were absolutely wonderful. I especially appreciated the ultra comfortable mattress for restful sleep. Can’t wait to come back.

This property is wonderful! Great location, great amenities, great communication. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire table! With a great bottle of wine at the end of the day is magical. I felt like we were in a treehouse! The house is a great size for two people, kitchen in well equipped. The bed is very comfortable. I loved sitting out on the deck with a coffee in the mornings listening to the trees sway. What a great weekend!

My husband and I enjoyed 2 nights in this cozy cabin getaway. The rain on the skylights, the two-seater hot tub, the gorgeous redwood surroundings. Surprisingly comfortable bed, and large flat-screen made it a challenge to get out of bed, but worth it for the meal at boon on the main drag in town.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at the Guerneville Cottage. Just enough space for 2 people for 3 nights. Bed was surprisedly comfy, shower though small had great water pressure and was hot. Evenings were spent will the fire pit on, glass of wine and hitting the hot tub! Perfection!!

What an amazing little gem of a place. There's all you need to hunker down and have a well needed stay-cation there. There isn't a hint of cars, or people, or the main road. Such a wonderful peace. The hot tub is at a perfect temperature, with nothing a beautiful trees and redwoods around you to gaze up at. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this little cottage. You're a short 3-5min drive to downtown Geurnville but feel like your deep in the woods.

Great place to stay, inviting quiet and well equipped. Walked in to lights on, music playing. Parking is tight but quite workable for my Subaru. The yard is serene and wonderful with a fire pit chairs and great secluded hot tub.
The only thing i recommend is bring a flashlight since the yard lights go out at 11 and if you are in the hot tub at that time its is a precarious walk from the hot tub to the cottage in the pitch dark. Loved it, would defiantly go back.
