Super cozy, great for kids and good location!

We had a lovely time staying at this house. Weather didn’t cooperate with us - what a relief this house has the space to accommodate a couple of rainy days.

Rented this home for a family wedding for 3 nights. House was very clean and has everything you need. The layout is perfect for separation/privacy yet has lots of comfy places for everyone to hang out together as well as cozy nooks to read a book. Our dog Bubba, a large Newfie, loved swimming in the lake where the setting is peaceful and serene with epic views

This was our second stay and every bit as pleasurable and relaxing as the first. The house, grounds and amenities are excellent.

We enjoyed our stay. Wish you were closer to water. Road to lake was a hard walk for us. Placemats would have been good. No living room on first floor?

The pictures don't accurate depict the condition of the home. It's a beautiful house but is in desperate need of TLC inside and out. I had a young child with me and there were safety hazards that address or mentioned to me. If they have someone who cleans and/or does general up keep, they should find someone knew. The cleanliness of the kitchen left a lot to be desired. I found a mouth retainer in a cabinet as an example. The hot tub wasn't clean either. There was some sort of blackness on the headrests. The water didn't look clean. There were bugs and debris in it when first opened. We felt like they weren't prepared for our arrival. The gentleman who was there when we arrived said they were going up on the nightly rate. I can tell you it wasn't worth it at the rate I paid. BEWARE.

We vacationed at this property and it is amazing! The house was well put together and was large enough for our group to have space of our own and gather together. The mattresses are a little tough and make sure you bring some extra toilet paper or paper towels with you! But it is completely awesome, the lake front is gorgeous. Highly recommend staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is very spacious (6 adults, 1 child and we all had our own area). The location is beautiful and the proximity to the surrounding towns made our adventure that much better. The view of the lake from the house wasn’t as good as shown in the photos and it was a bit of a hike down to the water (definitely rent the UTV or bring your own - we did both) but it did not hinder our time there at all. We had one issue with the Wi-Fi and it took the owner a day to get back to us but in that time we figured out the problem (the outlet is on a switch that had been turned off) and honestly, it was no big deal. We have talked about coming back to enjoy the fall and winter seasons here and would definitely recommend the house to others!

What a fantastic home and property. Truly unique. Great location with easy private lake access and beautiful scenery and mountain views. All of the privacy, peace and quiet you could hope for but with downtown Rangeley only two minutes away.

This is a beautiful home! There were 6 adults, all 55 and up. We chose this place for location and having 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms. Unfortunately, due to humid, damp weather, the large family room and bedroom downstairs, were unable to be used by our group. It was extremely damp and musty. Between allergies and one with asthma, we were unable to be down there. We did commmunicate with the host, but no solution was implemented. There was one very small dehumidifier, behjnd a closed door, that was not sble to keep up with the size of the area. We had to utilize the loft area as the 3rd bedroom. The kitchen area is lovely. Many of the pans could use to be replaced. Everything stuck, including bacon.
The game room is great!! Made for a lot of fun on one rainy day!
We enjoyed morning coffee on the huge deck, watching for wildlife. Daily we saw several deer. Our last night there we saw 4 bucks!
We were glad we paid extra for use of the ATV as it is a bit of a walk to the water. We enjoyed 2 days of swimming and relaxing on the docks. Due to all the recent rain, the grassy area is very wet. In the screen house, there are several noodles and other floats.
We were glad we all brought extra toilet paper and paper towels as there was very little provided. The lobster pot provided does not have a lid, or at least it was nowhere to be found. It also isn't a real big pot, so if you plan to cook your own lobsters you may wish to bring your own pot.

Great place to stay. Close to town as well as streams/rivers for fly fishing. Golfing is a 2 minute drive.
The lakefront is a bit of a walk but using the ATV made it so much more fun.

This house is amazing !!!! So much room for all to spread out , games to play, outdoor activities for everyone. We were a little disappointed that the dock wasn’t ready , but we improvised for fishing ! I did message the owner directly one some basic housekeeping opportunities and he was grateful for the feed back. We saw 13 moose on our stay in Rangley and had deer come down in the morning and evenings in the back yard. Nothing was better than having morning coffee on the porch with family !!!! Will definitely stay again !!!!

Lovely property, spacious and comfortable. Outdoor space and yard great for kids and pets. Game room a stand out feature. Cookware and sheets would benefit from some refreshing. Encourage better description of proximity to lake, which is about a quarter of a mile walk.

Loads of room and close to Rangeley, with views of the lake and Saddleback.

We spent a long winter weekend here with two other couples, children aged newborn to 16, and our dog. The home provided plenty of spaces for congregating in large and small groups, and the game room and hot tub were amazing pluses. There was plenty of property in the yard for the dog to roam. We were minutes to town and 20 minutes to Saddleback where we skied every day, followed by communal meals in the big living room and a relaxing hot tub with the snow falling. The owner was super communicative, helped us with a small issue with the power on the hot tub, and encouraged us to make lots of tracks on the mountain, which we did. I can only imagine how amazing this home would be in the summer with its proximity to the lake and beautiful, private surroundings and grounds.

On our second stay at this beautiful home … we enjoyed the spacious layout, view and well stocked kitchen just as much as last year. One of the two washers and the cover to the hot tub need repair, which made us a little nervous thinking they might get worse. Heated garage for your vehicle is a real bonus.

My family stayed in this beautiful home for 4 days/3 nights in February 2023. Our stay was very comfortable and the house amenities really increased our enjoyment. The game room was a huge hit and my family gathered in it in the evenings for fun games of pool, darts, ping pong, and air hockey. There were also many board games in the different living rooms to be played as well. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking items. Everyone found their beds comfortable and there was tons of space to spread out when we all needed a little break. The house is a short drive to Saddleback Mountain and even had views of the mountain from the master bedroom. Kim was extremely responsive when we did have a question. We would absolutely rent this wonderful home for our ski trip again!

Had a lovely extended weekend with my daughter and her two friends and my folks. A wonderful space for three generations to all feel connected yet with the ability to all have our own privacy when desired. We enjoyed the game room, the many bathrooms so we each had our “own” and amazing rooms to gather; take your pick! Kim was very responsive with questions which we always appreciate when renting. Would love to come back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful lack and wraparound porch! Many thanks for a lovely weekend, Kim.

The host was great and very accommodating. Easy check in and out. I will definitely be renting this gorgeous house again. It was perfect. There was 4 guys in our group. We all had ample space to relax after snowmobiling all day. The kitchen was fully equipped so cooking was a breeze. Thank you Kim for the opportunity to stay in such a great home

We found every nook and cranny of this home comfy from the room with the fireplace to the room with the big screen TV to the basement. The game room was well equipped.
There were no utensils lacking in the kitchen for when we cooked, and no shortage of interesting restaurants in Rangeley to visit when we wanted to leave this cozy home, which we reluctantly did.
The view to the lake was beautiful. Truly a gem with all the right amenities.

We enjoyed our stay here at “Out of Rangeley.” We arrived during a winter storm and woke up to a winter wonderland! The home was just as described. Plenty of space for our family of 6 and we loved that we all had our own areas to relax. We enjoyed the game room and the variety of board games available as well as the sleds that we were able to use down the hill on the property. It was chilly in the house since we had to keep the thermostat around 58 degrees per house rules but we bundled up with blankets and sat by the fireplace to keep warm. The town of Rangeley was cute but most of the businesses, restaurants and shops were closed unfortunately. We did get to enjoy a couple days of skiing at Saddleback. Overall, we had a great time, loved the house and hope to come back again!

My adult son and I try to take one vacation a year where we do absolutely nothing except rest and recover from the day to day craziness. This house was perfect for our needs! Listing was dead on accurate, pictures actually don’t do the house enough justice IMO. Well appointed kitchen, easy directions and all the light switches were marked thankfully! There are a ton of lights so as odd as it sounds, the little labels on the light switches really helped!
My son and I have book marked this place for future stays and we can’t wait to return.

The house in Rangely was great! Beautiful home, lots to do in the house since the weather was pretty bad. Lake access was nice and appreciated the kayak rentals. Kitchen was well equipped.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I did leave a note for the homeowner suggesting that two of the bathroom sinks were slow to drain.

Great family spot!
Tons of things to do at the house. Lots of great food options locally.
Owner was easy to work with and quick to answer when we had a question. Welcome binder is very helpful in finding what you need.

The house is very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. Our favorites were hanging out on the very large deck, playing billiards in the game room and driving the atv down to the water. The master bedroom is very comfortable. We appreciated that the house has plenty of room to spread out - everyone was able to have some space to themselves if down time was needed. I appreciate that our dog was welcome - he loved the very large yard.

We stayed at this rental from June 11-18, 2022. The house and property itself are beautiful. It is just what you are looking for if you want some peace and quiet on your vacation. Positives were the house was very large, there was a lot to do, the game room was a blast, the house was very clean, easy access to lake, there was plenty of seating inside and out for everyone to spend time together, plenty of wildlife to see- we even saw a moose in the backyard shortly after we arrived. There were also deer, fox, and hummingbirds. There were some cons when it came to the place as a rental. There doesn't seem to be a local person actually managing the property from what I can tell. The rental description was not entirely accurate in some aspects. The biggest one being that the dock at the waterfront part of the property was not set up. It was not the picture you see in the listing. The dock was in pieces, scattered throughout the "beach" area. When you advertise something and pay for what is advertised, you expect it to be "as advertised." I understand there is probably some reason for this, but the bottom line is you can't advertise a property as having something when it doesn't. The dock would have been nice as it would have allowed entry to the water without walking over all the rocks. In addition to this, after you use the hot tub, you are supposed to (according to the instructions given) add shock to it. The bottle of shock was almost empty. The owner advised us to check a local store, which we did twice, and they had none. He said he ordered some online but that it wouldn't arrive until Friday. A day or two later, he advised us to treat the hot tub with something else that was in the house which we did, and only then did he ask if he should overnight some shock. There were other things such as there were only 2 beach towels (it was advertised, so we didn't bring our own), only 1 washcloth in the house, no hand soap in some bathrooms, ran out of dishwasher detergent, and there was not enough toilet paper (went and bought the last three things). I understand maybe he didn't realize all these things were missing because no one told him. It isn't really the responsibility of the renter to tell you what you are running low on. There should be someone checking in between renters as to what needs to be replaced. You can't rely on renters to do that for you.

Very nice home in Rangeley. It had everything we could have asked for. The bedroom were well appointed, game room was fun for the while family. A nice spot im the yard for evening campfires after spending the afternoon on the kayaks. Internet was good and home was large enough that our family of 6 never felt crowded. Situated just up from downtown Rangeley, the short walk to the lakefront area was full of wildlife. We had a great time and would definitely return.

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this property for a week in early June, and it offered a little something for everyone (its a larger house / area than you'd expect from the description). The kids loved the game room, playing golf in the front yard, and of course the lakefront area. They entertained themselves for hours. The adults loved relaxing in the rocking chairs on the wraparound porch, or stoking the fire at night, it's a very peaceful setting. The multiple family rooms allowed for people to watch a movie, a game, or play a game at the same time.
The house had everything we could have asked for. They had most condiments/ cooking needs for preparing meals in, which we did most times, but they are also so close to town it was easy to grab takeout or drive a few minutes for dinner.
The check in/out process was simple, and our correspondence with the host was great. They are very welcoming people, and worked with us on a few minor issues we encountered.
This is an outstanding location for a family or group looking to visit Rangeley for hiking or skiing, and we highly recommend it. Hopefully we'll be able to return in the future.
