We loved staying at this enchanted little cottage! However, all the bedrooms are joined together upstairs with no bathroom, with very steep stairs -tricky in the middle of the night, not for the elderly. One bath on the main level to share. Besides that it was perfect!

We had an amazing girls weekend in Lake City! This house was a perfect base. We had coffee each morning on the sun porch, we were able to walk along the lake in the afternoon, we have beautiful fires each evening. I would highly recommend staying here.

The most thorough and detailed check in process ever -no wondering if they have something, or where it is. Great fire pit outside Friday night, and nice walks along the water. House was clean, quaint and had everything we needed. Would stay again in a minute!

This home has an unsurpassed view of Lake Pepin, the home is sweet, beautifully decorated, everything quality and at hand. Good sheets, blankets, plenty of pots, pans and kitchen supplies. Steep stairs to bedrooms, like many older homes...Upstairs decorated to please. Wonderful for 3 friends to relas and enjoy the view and each other. Thanks/1

We had a lovely fall weekend stay at this property. The home was very nice and clean with a great lake view and location. And the property manager was wonderful to work with. Would definitely stay here again.

This place is great...awesome location right on the lake, clean, cute, comfy and Mark is a very accommodating host. Yes, the stairs are steep to get upstairs, but handrails are there and solid.. and we loved that they have kept so many of the original elements of such an old house. We will definitely stay again if we come to the area!

Fabulous place. Everything we wanted and MORE! The view, the town, the lake. The house was awesome - very clean. Very comfortable bed. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook for ourselves if we didn't want to go out. Loved sitting on the patio watching the lake. Mark was a great host, thanks so much!

We enjoyed the cottage with the vintage look and feel. It was very nicely decorated. Lots of things to do in Lake City and surrounding area. We even had a nice fire pit fire in the evening. Very relaxing.

My husband & I recently stayed at this VRBO and loved it. We do a considerable amount of entertaining with family & friends. This house works great for that. The kitchen is nice sized with up-to-date appliances. Needless to say, the dishwasher gets lots of use. There are two kitchen tables so everyone can have a seat. There are two patio sets, too, so lots of room for outdoor entertaining.
The sunroom faces the lake and seats four comfortably. If I wasn't outside on the patio, I was sitting here reading and enjoying the view. There is also a nice-sized living room off of the kitchen. Laundry and a bathroom are also on the first floor. The wood floors are gorgeous.
The upstairs has 3 bedrooms and lots of closet space. The master bdrm is big and features a king-size bed. The guest room has a queen-size bed and features an incredible view of the lake. The other room has two twin beds.
The driveway holds three cars so you never have to compromise your view of the lake.
Mark, the manager, was most responsive with any questions we had during our stay.
Lake City has lots to offer -- water sport activities (boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, waterskiing, windsurfing, sailing, paragliding, and jet skiiing), ride on the Pearl of Lake Pepin paddle wheel, enjoy the walking trail along the river, tennis courts a few blocks away, hiking, play park, music, restaurants, bars, and shops.
We will definitely be back and look forward to our future stays. THANK YOU MARK & SHAYNA!

I booked this place for 6 guys going on a fishing trip. The house was as described, very nice inside and out. It is fully furnished with cooking and cleaning supplies. The off street parking was nice so we could park our boat trailers off the street. We had very hot weather during our stay but the central air worked great. This was our first time staying in Lake City and we would definitely stay here again.

Don't pass this one up! We were extremely impressed by this beautiful old home right across from the Mississippi. You will have everything you need and be completely comfortable. (Even the beds were super comfy, and I am fussy about beds!) We hosted a small group for Thanksgiving and it couldn't have gone better. Clean, homey, had all the amenities and comforts of home, and attentive property managers to boot. I am still wishing to be on the porch with a cup of coffee watching the eagles and the trains on the Wisconsin side of the river...

We thoroughly enjoyed our ladies weekend here! The view is amazing and you can basically walk anywhere in Lake City. There are bikes for rent, too, around the city if you're interested. The cottage is decorated so nicely that is feels like home. Will probably go back!

I cannot say enough good things about this charming cottage. It sits on a corner lot, with the best view around of the Mississippi! We were welcomed by Bald Eagles in the trees across the street. I took over 100 photos on them up close. We watched them feed and play. Spectacular viewing of the birds, sail boats and water. The cottage itself was spacious and clean. We grilled and had fires outside in the evenings. The beds are very comfortable, and the one bathroom was plenty for our party of four. The only minor inconvenience was the wifi/cable, but Mark was right on it and apologized for the inconvenience. All the while I wondered why I needed to be connected in the first place. I was there to unplug! We are going back next year! Don't pass this one by. STAY HERE!

My 4 sisters and I stayed at this lovely& quaint cottage overlooking Lake Pepin in Sept. We had a beautiful view of the lake and found the cottage to be very comfortable. The listing accurately reflected the amenities described. We enjoyed the views we had of the lake from the sun room. The sleeping arrangements were great and the single bathroom was adequate for the five of us. The caretaker also provided us with fire wood so we had campfires 2 of the nights of our stay. The cottage reminded us of our grandparents house in western MN where we visited often during our childhood. The location in Lake City was very convenient for sight seeing. We went to the National Eagle Center in Wabasha (18 miles) and to Red Wing(15 miles) to visit the Pottery Factory and Shoe store as well as taking a boat ride down the Mississippi to view many eagles and their nests. We also enjoyed shopping at the antique and gift shops in Lake City. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and if I return to Lake City would stay here again.

This house has great character and is furnished perfectly to match that character. We arrived on maybe the hottest day of the summer and Mark, the caretaker had an ac guy working on the main unit as it had not been keeping up. Problem did not seem to be corrected as when we came back from dinner the house was even hotter. I will give these guys credit though as they were proactively working on it and it was a beastly hot day with no air movement. Thankfully for sleeping the bedroom upstairs has its' own large portable ac as does the bonus room upstairs (window unit). We pulled the kids mattresses into that room and they were fine. Portable AC is loud as they all are but it is that constant grey noise just like a hotel room. Bed was very comfortable. Mark did proactively compensate us for this issue much to our satisfaction. Weather on the second day was much more seasonal and ac was able to keep up just fine.
We were in town for a family wedding and had about 20 members over on the second day. They couldn't believe how beautiful the home was including the amazing location. When they found out how reasonable the price was they were sort of dismayed that they chose to stay in a bland hotel.
I sort of remember the wireless internet not really having much of a signal. While there were 2 or 3 older tv's there was no feed coming into the house so we were limited to dvd's or vhs. This wasn't a big deal but it would have been nice to know ahead of time. I think they might be updating the tv's in the near future.
While there were a couple of minor inconveniences (the ac not so minor but it worked out) I would highly recommend this house. Mark was available by phone and responded to all issues we had. If staying near Lake City, this is where we will come back to.
