Located in Niverville, this charming cottage for R 3,542 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Hello again repeat and new guests! Thank you for a very enjoyable 2022. All of you were great! We are looking foward to another relaxing season and know you are too! Our cottage is offered to those guest who are looking to relax & enjoy peace & quiet. NO LOUD MUSIC or parties! ( Which is not allowed) C Yes we have Wi - Fi so you can do your computer work while being safe and enjoy the beautiful sunset & other views from inside the cottage,indoor or outdoor porch. We are offering our lovely cottage to those who want to relax and enjoy life from April 1st thru November 15th. The cottage was just repainted and the docks and outside deck re stained. To be fair to all our guests, weekly rentals are from friday - friday ( Thank you ) Our cottage is right on beautiful kinderhook lake. Walk down the porch & the lake is 10' away right off lawn & The Empire State Trail is only 200' away for those who like to bike walk or both and see beautiful scenery including pastures, streams horses and horse farms! There are kayaks for your use or bring your own kyaks canoes or boats & tie them up to one of the two docks. Fishing is great and you could fish off the dock, porch or front lawn if you wanted to! The house has 2 ac units and a forced hot air heater. There is no better way to relax then to have dinner or just a few cold ones and enjoy the view of the lake.BBQ, table with umbrella, seating for 6 & lounges on outside deck. Also has inside porch with dinning table, couch, tv & ac. Less then 2 hrs from NYC about 45 minutes from Albany, Monticello , so everything is close. It is all ready for a week or weekend getaway with your family & friends, ( Just bring your own linens, 1 queen & 1 double bed) or a romantic weekend getaway for u & your special someone. It has a full kitchen, complete with 4 burner stove, oven, full size refrigerator, microwave, all needed cookware, dinner plates for 6, utensils & even a new coffee maker. It sleeps 4 comfortably with 2 bedrooms. It has a full bath with a shower. The Hudson River Rail Trail is nearby!! So come and relax and enjoy. Thank you in advance for looking. Just a heads up to our guests that the lake gets lowered around October 15th so fishing, kakaing and swimming will not be available. Dont worry the views are still beautiful and you can still see the water. Thank you again, John

Enjoyed a long weekend with beautiful view of Kinderhook lake. Very comfortable cottage with everything we needed. John was a great host and returned call quickly when I had questions! Will definitely return next year.

This is a cute house, right on the water. Everything we needed was at our fingertips. Friendly neighborhood and dogs included. Our stay was perfect and bonus having the rail trail right there where you could walk and see the horse farms. Sunsets amazing and we even got pictures of Elon Musk’s satellite our last night there. John couldn’t be a nicer guy, so accommodating. Looking forward to planning another trip or two next year. Highly recommend it!!! Thank you John!!!

Had a nice three night stay at this cottage on the lake
Host communicated well, and we enjoyed our stay
Pet friendly location right on the water of Kinderhook lake, can walk from the grass into the lake and the lake is about 4 feet deep out about 100 feet. Some rocks near the shore, bring water shoes.

My dad and uncle stayed for a long weekend and enjoyed themselves tremendously. Beautiful view and wonderful little cottage. Thank you John for a wonderful stay. Will definitely be back!

We are a family with 3 small children and this was a perfect space for us! It was very clean and well put together and had everything we needed! Communication all the way through was great and made the process very easy! I would highly recommend and we would definitely come back again!

Very comfortable and clean cottage that had everything we needed. Two of us old friends had an awesome time, enjoying the cottage, the lake and gorgeous surroundings. It was hard to leave!😎😎

Very peaceful setting
We stayed here for three nights in later July 2022. The location is very peaceful and the views from the deck in the evening were beautiful. We kayaked a bit, explored the region a bit, read a lot, and just relaxed. The owner was very communicative and responsive. I'd definitely recommend this rental if you're looking for peace.

What a nice little place. It was just the two of us. We were literally right on the lake. Sitting out on the deck in the evening, watching the sunset as well as sunrise was super relaxing.
John was GREAT to communicate with. I called him quite late one night and he responded with a text within 10 minutes. Very friendly too.

What a nice little place. It was just the two of us. We were literally right on the lake. Sitting out on the deck in the evening, watching the sunset as well as sunrise was super relaxing.

This property matched the listing exactly! It is so beautiful, the lake is peaceful, and the sunsets are stunning. We had a great time staying here. You feel very secluded, but are close to amenities. The owner was very helpful and considerate. I highly recommend this rental!

Small but efficient cottage. Nicely landscaped. Owner was there with his large, friendly dog when we arrived. Showed us the workings of the camp. Wonderful porch with table and chairs and a sofa, with large windows overlooking the lake. The deck provided another table with 6 chairs, 2 loungers and a grill. But the tank ended up to be empty and although we put the new tank in place, we could not get it to work. Owner had told me he was surprised it lasted so long. I think owner should have changed the tank before we got there and ensured it worked. The cottage is directly on the lake. Two docks. two kayaks, too bad we had rain. Livingroom had 2 large comfortable sofas, they left minimal room to move between them. Nice coffee table. TV is Direct TV. A list of availabe channels with thir numbers would have beeen helpful.
The bedrooms are very small. Mattress was comfortable but it did not have a plastic protector on it to ensure cleanliness between guests. Kitchen had enough supplies. For what we paid the linens should have been provided.
It would cost less than $100 to purchase them. 2 sets of everything would allow for the owners to rotate between guests. Major inconvenience. Used fans. Porch window air conditioner worked but could not climb up to get to living room one. Bedrooms need window air conditioners. Moving the porch standup fan to out side of the bedrooms provided little air movement. Trip hazard as the extension cord for the master br came from the hall. It is not expensive to move the outlet to the bedroom. The Bathroom had 1 roll of toilet paper for the week, when we had expected our son and grandson to also join us.. We had to purchase more. I would line all cabinets and shelves with washable contact paper to ensure cleanliness. The bottom of the shower was rusty and ?moldy. Only 3 parking areas for ourselves and guests. All in all, the location is fantastic on a lake I grew up on. Great memories. It is on a bay which provides sheltered swimming. Great location, great views of sunset. Some inconveniences which are easily improved. Enjoy.

It is Heaven
This is a marvelous for a quiet, relaxing get-away. We kayaked and sat on the deck quite a bit. Of course, there was TV and A/C (thankfully) indoors and internet access in or out. Easy to pick up dinners at restaurants in Valatie. Try it if you like the quiet!

The general lakefront experience is what you want in a vacation on the lake: The deck is great, the view is breathtaking, the lake is awesome, there's lots of fish and overall we loved the view and the lake. The sitting areas are comfortable, otherwise has it's pluses and minuses, some things can use a little attention, but doesn't detract from enjoying this camp at the lake! Perfection
