Located in Lake Norman, this charming house for R 6,907 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. The view from this sprawling 5 bedroom 4 bathroom home is magnificent. This home has room for everyone. Four of the five bedrooms have their own bathroom making it a great for a multi-family vacation. The master bedroom features a huge walk-in closet and lots of built-ins. The master bath has been recently updated with a beautiful walk-in shower and granite counter tops. The master bedroom also has a private entry into the bonus area that leads to the back porch. The upstairs loft has a set of twin bunk beds and a single twin bed with plenty of room for the kids to hang out. The kitchen opens up to both the family room and dining area, making it a great place to hang out after the perfect day on Lake Norman! The home features a sun room great for a quiet afternoon of reading and relaxation. The natural stone back patio has lots of seating and a propane gas grill just perfect for a cookout after a long day on the water! The dock and pier are perfect for fishing and swimming. Guests are welcome to dock boats at the dock. Happy Vacation! This home is located on the east side of Lake Norman in Denver, NC. Uptown Charlotte is is only a 45 minute drive making it close enough to enjoy a night out in the Queen City while taking advantage of all Lake Norman has to offer. Access to the lake was nice but the property seemed to be run down and in the need of refreshing. Outside grill was so dirty it wasn't usable. The dryer didn't work for our entire stay. Hot water in one of the bedroom showers didn't work. Property management company did nothing to fix these issues. I was told 'you have other showers you can use so it's not a problem'. We checked in on Saturday and reported dryer problem that night. It still wasn't fixed when we checked out on Wednesday.
I wouldn't rent any house that this property management company is managing.

Grill caught on fire because no one had cleaned the grease out in what seems like ever. We had to do some initial cleaning of the house. One of the screen doors just fell off when we tried to open the rear of the house. Location was great on the water and it was very peaceful.

We had a great trip at this house! A group of 10 of us had plenty of room to sleep, enjoy the lake, host an in home chefs dinner and enjoy the beautiful back patio. It was a great spot! Exactly as advertised in terms of space and amazing views! We had a great time. The only cons of this house were the fridge / freezer didn’t really get cold enough to keep drinks or ice cold and the cleanliness, specifically that there were a lot of bugs. We had to kill a few palmetto bugs in the bedrooms and on the patio, someone got a fish hook stuck in their foot that was on the floor, the dock was so covered in bugs, cobwebs and dirt it took us a couple hours before we could use it. But nothing we couldn’t take care of. Great spot!

We loved the location on Lake Norman. However, the house needs attention. We never found a remote to change the TV channel. There was no blind or curtain in master be to keep the sun out. No soap or cleaning products provided or paper towels. We should have been warned that locks lock behind you and if step outside without the one key, you will get locked out(we did). Furniture was ok, but couch is old and you did sink right in. A real mishmash of kitchen supplies, but adequate. Outside landscaping is average, but nothing special. We will be back to Lake Norman, but not to this rental.

The property is in an amazing location, right on the lake with access to docking your own boat. The house is large and can accommodate a large family (like mine!). The other nice thing is having 4 full bathrooms, it makes getting ready so much easier.
We found the house to be less than par in terms of maintenance. The A/C didn’t work upon arrival but the property managers were prompt about placing a work order. Unfortunately it was not repairable during our stay. They offered us another location but due to the nature of our visit: renting a boat, young children already settled, groceries already purchased and put away, we opted to stay. They did give a partial refund for the inconvenience, which was very nice and generous.
The A/C being broke prompted us to open windows and check A/C filters. The A/C filters looked like they had not been changed in months. There were layers of dirt and dust on both the downstairs and upstairs filters. This is a surprise given the current pandemic. Upon opening the windows we were unable to open some of them due to the amount of collecting dust, dirt, debris, bugs and pollen. There was a leak under the kitchen sink as well.
The master bathroom toilet kept running and other maintenance issues were noted during our stay.
Overall the house is spacious and in a prime location. I would just recommend a thorough deep clean (indoors and outdoors) and better upkeep with the overall maintenance. Perhaps they were unaware of the need. We enjoyed our time there and really appreciated the kindness when we expressed our concerns.

The property is spacious and the area is laid back. However, you are only minutes from the airport and a city. It’s the best of both worlds.

Excellent location for water fun!
This was our 1st trip to Lake Norman and we brought our boat with us to enjoy the water. The house is located in a quiet cove and the dock is in excellent condition. We also brought two paddleboards and rented two kayaks for everyone to enjoy. The house comfortably accommodated 7 of us during our stay. Overall it was an excellent experience!

I want to buy this house!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. So much so it has us wanting to move here, if only it was for sale! The lake area is perfect, beautiful. Very open and easy to swim and relax on. We brought our SUPs and floats (this property doesn't come with kayaks or any water fun) and the water was perfect. Not busy like some areas. Neighbors are great on all sides. Very quiet area!
One KEY thing about the listing that we ran into. It's not a 5 bedroom. It's a 4 bedroom. One area they call a "bedroom' is actually just an open area upstairs outside of 2 bedrooms. So if you use this as a "bedroom", you'll have two bedrooms walking right through your area in and out. And there is NO bathroom for this person as all bathrooms are inside of the bedrooms. Another bedroom with a bunk is extremely small. It wasn't setup for 2 people even with the bunk.
Negatives:
- Bedroom setups are not good for 1 of the bedrooms (extremely small), and the other one that's not a bedroom (just an open area outside two bedrooms).
- Old pontoon left in the slip, full of old, moldy water breeding mosquitos.
- No ladder to get up on the doc which would make this bad for some, and just a big annoyance for others.
Positives:
- Everything else. Nice house. Excellent lake area. Big, open yard. Great doc. Great neighbors. Clean area. Would definitely recommend this if you need a get-a-way and don't need more than 3-4 bedrooms. Plenty of other rooms if you just want to blow up mattresses and sleep on the floor.

Family Vacation
We rented this home for a family vacation. The location is excellent, the cove is a perfect place for kayaking, fishing, and swimming and is much more quiet and private than other parts of the lake. The neighbors were friendly and the neighborhood was very safe and welcoming. The dock was a great place to hang out and the backyard deck was very nice too. We had a few maintenance issues but someone came out and fixed those. The bathrooms were all in bedrooms which could get inconvenient at times ( excepially for those sleeping upstairs between the 2 bedrooms) and I noticed the baseboards and the wall at the kitchen bar could use some cleaning but all in all the house was clean. The grill was great but it does need a brush to clean the racks. The house was found as listed and we had a wonderful time. I would definitely stay here again, you can't beat the location.

Check out the upgrades!
The only issue we had during our stay was that several upgrades were in process. That was a minor inconvenience for us but should be great news for anyone staying after the upgrades are finished, right?
We really enjoyed the fall colors, playing games with the family and running in the yard chasing the falling leaves. The location is on a beautiful cove with great views from every part of the home.

House cleaning stated a 50% refund would be made due to house not being ready. A few snafu's: propane ran out; upstairs rear bedside lamp needs repair; bulb missing in same bathroom; kitchen needs a lg. baking sheet. Overall-very good though.

The house is a bit odd architecturally but comfortable and clean and well equipped. Towel hooks are too flimsy. Needs stepping stones or boardwalk to dock, and dock needs a swimming ladder.

First time to rent through VBRO and had a great experience!
We loved our house, it was very roomy and just the right size for our group! It had everything we needed! Only problem was the internet was very slow if more than 1 person got on it, but that is good when you are getting away and should be spending time with each other and not be on the computer! Definitely would rent the place again!
