About this house rental
Situated in Casa De Oro-Mount, this lovely house for R 8,724 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Welcome to the Avocado House! This lovely home is nestled on the east side of Mount Helix with amazing views of the city and surrounding mountains. Conveniently situated a short distance from Interstate 8 and Highway 94. Just 15 minutes to the beach and 10 minutes to Downtown San Diego. Travel East and enjoy the casinos! This lovely home has four well appointed bedrooms. Three bedrooms have new king beds, and the fourth bedroom has a trundle bed that can be used as two twins or a king size bed. The master has its own bathroom. Large living room overlooks the beautiful salt water pool and the valley. The large kitchen has all the necessary equipment for the pickiest of cooks. Laundry area is equipped with two new LG washer and dryers. The pool has a beach entry and is heated with an electric heat pump. As opposed to gas or propane, heat pumps use electricity to heat water. Instead of creating heat through burning fuel, heat pumps capture heat from the surrounding air, then transfer that heat to the swimming water. In cooler months, the water temperature will not heat above the outside temperature. The house uses solar for electricity. This property is situated on an acre and is very secluded. Our family coming from 4 states (Minnesota, Washington, California and Illinois) had a wonderful time at this property. It was very spacious with comfortable beds. We enjoyed the view (sunrise and sunset). Wish we could have stayed longer. I would recommend this property.

Was moving our daughter into her freshmen year at SDSU. House was better than the details in the VRBO listing. Lots of space, pool and view were postcard worthy. Property owner kept in communication with us while Tropical Storm Hilary was approaching to keep us informed of local alerts and info. Plan to stay here again for an upcoming SDSU visit with our daughter.

The house was everything as advertised we enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend. Owners were very quick to respond to our questions. Clean and private and a great pool the kids loved it. Convenient to everything.

What a perfect house! It had beautiful grounds and a seemingly separate location with really no neighbors you could see. There was some road noise but not bad in the morning and evening when we’d sit out by the pool. The location is fabulous, again sort of secluded but blocks from Vons etc. and the house is well maintained, well stocked and had great amenities. The owners were quick to respond to emails. We would definitely stay here again and have recommended to family/friends in the area if they need a place for visitors to stay. Again couldn’t have been more perfect and we appreciated how well appointed the house was. Thanks for such a great place

We all enjoyed your home. We had a brunch for a few hours on Saturday. Although we ordered food from a local Mexican restaurant and did not cook (except for toast) the house and all the kitchenware were perfect. The brunch was for my father-in-law. Although he couldn't stay long because of his health, his visit was comfortable and he was able to see his grandchildren (3) and sons, etc. all in a homey, comforting environment. Thank you for this as this may be the last time we all see him as he is quite frail.
We would love to return in the future when we visit. I plan to recommend your home if I am asked for recommendations from family and friends. Thank you again for creating such a comfortable environment.

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was beautiful and exactly like the pictures. We of course loved being outside enjoying the view and swimming in the pool, but the inside was just as great. It felt so secluded, yet so close to get to everything you needed. Many stores are right at the bottom of the hill and it was only about 20 minutes to get to all the major San Diego attractions. We used all the beach supplies, yard games, etc. and overall we found the house very well equipped (we felt like we were at home). Thank you for sharing your house with us - we hope to come back someday!

Amazing View and Comfortable Living
Very accurate description of property and rooms. The house is very large and for larger family was perfectly setup. The room arrangement gave everyone their "own" space and every bed (even the pullout couch) were very comfortable.
The pool was great with an amazing view that the pictures don't do justice - pool was clean and very comfortable for swimming during sunny days.
More than enough room for entire family and some friends (11 in total) to eat inside and/or outside at this house. All the amenities needed for cooking, eating, cleaning, etc.
*only issue was the dishwasher did not clean anything on the bottom rack very well. Easily enough to just do the plates and cookware by hand.
Isolated location provided all the privacy needed, and yet only 15-20 drive to Mission Bay and La Jolla beaches and areas.
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the San Diego area.

The property was convenient to a grocery store and a Starbucks (very important, LOL.)

This property was better than the pictures. We thoroughly enjoyed staying here. Loved the privacy of the mountain, the views and the pool of course. It had everything you could need. We had no trouble getting ubers/lyfts. The hosts were very responsive. We would definitely stay again.
