About this house rental
Nestled in Tahoe Vista, this charming house for R 6,653 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Sunshine Daydream. Come and enjoy the beautiful, warm and cozy comforts, in this 1600 square ft 3 Bedroom plus loft, 2 bath family and pet friendly luxury mountain home with a Jacuzzi hot tub and fenced in area for dogs. This home sleeps 8, allows up to two dogs (for an additional $25 per dog, per night) and has been furnished, decorated and mountained up from top to bottom to complement the rustic feeling of the knotty pine throughout the home. From the three flat screen smart tv's to plentiful cookware, dishware, linens, towels, furniture, wood burning stove, wifi, spectrum tv and more. This updated home has everything that you would expect in a sweet mountain vacation rental. The master bedroom has a king bed, master bath, balcony and 46' flat screen smart tv. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and mountain furnishings, bedroom 3 has a queen bed plus 40' flat screen smart tv and mountain lake decor, the loft has a full bed and desk plus a sitting space for music, games, reading and more. The living room has a 55' flat screen smart tv, cozy furniture, mountain themed decorations and a wood burning stove. We provide Spectrum TV and WiFi throughout the house, supply wood for the stove and have many cooking basics on hand, such as spices, oils, flour, etc. On the exterior there is a wrap around deck, the aforementioned Jacuzzi hot tub and fenced in yard for dogs, beautiful mature trees and parking space that can easily accommodate four vehicles. We are convienient to everything the North Shore has to offer. We are less than a mile from the lake and restaurants, shops, beach, boat launch, and a 24/7 Safeway Grocery Store. We are less than three miles from the North Shore Casinos and snow mobile trails and tours. We are five miles from Northstar Ski Resort and eighteen miles from Alpine Meadows and Squaw Valley USA ski resorts. As a bonus the T.A.R.T. or Tahoe Area Regional Transit Shuttle picks up across the street from our property and takes you to most if not all of the places mentioned above. We are conveniently close to Hwy 267, making for easy arrivals and departures from the mountain even when there is weather. Book now and beat the crowds before the secret gets out on this nicely appointed, luxury mountain vacation rental home. When we vacation we take notice of what makes a rental superior and include it in our own rental. We have decorated our home for cush and comfort, as if it were our own home, because it often is. Great stopover for our family in Tahoe on the way to the Redwoods in CA... House was clean and tiny roomy.. Host was excellent and very informative.. Definitely recommend the zip line adventure course in Tahoe City... our kids loved it..

We really liked the house and Warren was quite a great host. He communicated well with all the instructions before our trip and helped us resolve the TV issue while we were there. House is a bit smaller than it seems in the pictures. Great location and well equipped. The only minus is the living room furniture and bedroom mattresses could definitely use an upgrade.

We took an annual ski trip, this time to California. The property was very clean, well maintained, and the kitchen was really well stocked!
The host was responsive, and helpful with local suggestions.

We really enjoyed staying at this cozy home during our annual "friends of 20 years" summer trip. Kitchen is fully stocked with any kind of cookware you need, great porch with table for meals outside, 5 min drive to multiple beach sites, and super dog friendly (they provide dog beds and water/food bowls!). We had a group of 6 adults and it fit us all comfortably. Loved the shower in the master bathroom, has a skylight so you can see trees while bathing :) Warren gave us some helpful details ahead of time and was very communicative with all the dynamics of booking. If you're planning a family or friend trip to Tahoe this place is great!

Great location and very cozy house. Special thanks to the owner of the house for letting my daughter and her husband to come to the house little bit early due to Bay Area traffic. I appreciate the flexibility that he provided for us. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi. Overall, we will be happy to stay at this house again.

From start to finish we had a great stay at Sunshine Daydream! The location was perfect, short distance to the beach and a block away from great hiking trails. The house was extremely dog friendly (loved the fenced in yard) and more than enough space for 6 of us. The huge wrap around deck was perfect for bbqs and just hanging out. The house was equipped with all the essentials and then some. The living room had plenty of seating and a super cozy sofa. The communication with Warren was great and we had no issue with the check in/out process. Can’t wait to return-this was the perfect place for our stay.

Great home, only one thing...
The house is overall fantastic. It was very comfortable, well-provisioned for our stay, and had everything that we could have needed. We especially enjoyed having the awesome grill on the patio, and the TV/sound setup in the living room for an evening movie was really nice. Beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub outside was super clean, easy to use and very relaxing after a day of golf nearby. Our 2 small dogs also greatly appreciated having full run of the fenced-in back yard.
The one thing we didn’t really expect (and I only found one other review mentioning it) was that the patio backs directly to the highway, and the passing traffic noise on the patio (or with the patio door open for air) is loud and incessant. Pretending it was the ocean didn’t work for me. Be sure to consider this if you are looking for a nice quiet patio as part of your stay.

We had a great stay at this updated, modern, and cozy home that had many cool features!
This cabin had everything you needed. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The laundry room was convenient. There are two driveways so enough room for parking. The deck is lovely and fenced as is the yard. It is near a cul de sac which is great for walking the dogs! All the beds are comfortable and we really enjoyed the shower upstairs. The loft bedroom had a clever curtain that can help keep out light; we didn’t figure out until the second night. We also enjoyed the ample natural lighting that streamed in through the windows and skylights. Wonderful! Cannot thank the owners enough for what they have done with this place! We did not use the hot tub but saw that it was working. The location is so convenient. Easy to get in and out! The touches to this home was stately and charming and modern and cozy. Soap, shampoo, and conditioner readily available. Sheets are smooth and soft. Towels were plentiful! The fireplace was really nice. There was wood you can use to burn. We did not use the grill but saw that it was available on the deck. They had NEST heating that was very easy to figure out. It was fantastic and all of us enjoyed our stay. Thank you! ❤️

Well Stocked and Comfy Stay
Our family had a great time at Warren's cabin. The house was well stocked. I loved that there were so many towels for us to use during a rainy Tahoe weekend. The fenced backyard spoiled us and our pups. They loved this house too! Living room was super cozy for the family and we watched movies in the evening after a long day in the outdoors. It was very easy to communicate with the host. Thank you!

We would love to keep it as our own little secret and tell everyone it was terrible, but we can’t. It was wonderful. Nice, clean, great location. Perfectly sized and comfortable. Warren was very communicative and kind. We had a fantastic time and can not wait to stay at the Sunshine Daydream again!

Great family home
We rented Warren's place for 5 adults and 3 kids and the house accommodated us beautifully! We visited Tahoe during a heat wave and the upstairs rooms were uncomfortably hot on arrival, but Warren sent us more fans promptly and it made a big difference. The house is very close to Kings Beach, which makes it a great destination and I would highly recommend this place. One minus is that the house is very close to the main road so you hear the cars zooming by if you spend time in the back yard and the hot tub, and during the daytime the backyard doesn't feel very private, but after sundown and a few moments in the hot tub, you forget such small details. Warren is a great and responsive host, we'd definitely visit again.

Comfortable and in a great location!
What a great house for my entire family to meet for a long weekend. The living area is really comfortable with a huge couch and an awesome wood burning stove. The kitchen has everything you need and the bedrooms and beds are very comfortable. My kids and dogs loved it. Owners were super responsive when I had a question. We'll definitely be back!

A Perfect Place
This was a perfect place for a mini family reunion in the snow with a toddler, his parents, his grandparents, his uncle and two golden retrievers! The home is very comfortable, perfectly situated in Kings Beach, with a well-stocked kitchen.

We loved this house and everything it came with! Every room was furnished beautifully - well stocked kitchen. Very clean throughout, and beds that were comfortable and dreamy. Kids loved it, dog loved it - happy parents. I especially appreciated the owner's personal touch in communicating the ins and outs of the house. We will definitely stay here again!!
