Fishing is also big in these parts, so grab a rod or two and catch your dinner! Enjoy access to the local Cabana Club with a shared pool, private beach access, and a lounge/wet bar. The small-town atmosphere of Key Colony Beach is charming and welcoming. Since the town is so compact, you'll have no issues navigating to parks and restaurants. Being right by the canal will make your vacation feel extra relaxing (please note that this rental is one-half of a duplex.). Set in neutral tones, this home's living room offers plush seating and tons of natural light. You'll feel right at home with access to cable and WiFi. The completely renovated kitchen will prove perfect for chefs and non-chefs alike. With designer countertops, a dishwasher, and stainless steel appliances, it is upscale but comfortable. Outside on the deck is a gas grill for barbecues. There are even laundry facilities available for your convenience. Things to Know Check-in time: 4:00 p.m. Check-out time: 10:00 a.m. All guests shall abide by Vacasa’s good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises. This home has a seven-day rental minimum. Parking notes: There is free parking available for 2 vehicles. Dock details: The dock is 35' in length. Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit. More information can be downloaded from the "Rental Agreement" on the checkout page. Due to local laws or HOA requirements, guests must be at least 25 years of age to book. Guests under 25 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian for the duration of the reservation. We have stayed in Key Colony several times for our Anniversary. This house was very clean , well stocked and I loved the balcony views . There wasn’t any TVs in the bedrooms but definitely not a big deal . This was by far one of the nicer homes . We brought our boat and fished everyday and went to the Sandbar after . If you like BBQ , Porkys had the best . Highly recommend this property for a quiet getaway

This house was very nicely upgraded and provided all the things that were needed for an extended stay. The location was within walking distance to the Cabana Club, although having a bike for the commute was worthwhile. The only thing unclear in the property advertisement was the sleeping arrangements for the 6 people. The loft had a futon large enough from 1 person and there was a pull-out couch in the living room.

We walked up a long flight of stairs, which we both have a bit of difficulty with, and opened the door to a beautiful home. The openess of the place was great, with the LR, Dining area and the kitchen all in the same vicinity, with loads of views of the canal out back thru a couple of sliding glass doors. This was truly the most incredibly stocked kitchen I have ever seen in a rental, including a fully stocked spice drawer and multiple pots, pans, baking dishes, knife sets, etc. I didn’t plan to cook often, but when I did cook or when I reheated leftovers every sort of cooking utensil or cookware was there. Also, there were ceiling fans in both the LR and the DR. The furniture was comfortable for watching TV or reading, but at night the light was not good for reading at all. We wished that the ceiling fan also had a light. Both bedrooms had ceiling fans and lights and the queen sized beds were quite comfortable. The master bathroom had two showers, one in a standard tub and a separate small corner walk-in. The hall bathroom had a tub/shower combo. The whole house was spotlessly clean. A great place to stay but for the stairs, which were not good for seniors with bad knees.

First of all Vacasa notified me 2 days before my month long stay that I scheduled months in advance that the place would not be available (AC Broken). They moved me to another unit but would not let me stay at that relocated unit. So after a week I had to pack up all my stuff/family and move to the original rental. Extremely inconvenient time consuming and unacceptable! Second, once in this original unit found freezer gasket falling off, blender glass broken, beds outdated/worn out and uncomfortable. Dock piling are broken off and cleats broken. I called before my stay to find out if I needed to lug a hose and bait freezer down which I did only to find the unit has a huge bait freezer n hose available. Overall not happy with the unit or the treatment or communication from Vacasa.

Everything was super, incredibly well supplied. Only issue was 1970's iron short circuit. Not a big deal but should have had newer one.

Our week vacation started of great. House was nice, clean, and well equipped as described. On the third night we came back from dinner and the AC wasn’t working. Temp was 81. Called vacasa and they said a tech would be there at 8am. Tech arrived at noon. He pulled out the filters and they looked as if they hadn’t been changed in 6 months, packed full of dust. Tech was there maybe 20 minutes and left. We went out on the boat and came back. Temp in house now 85. Called vacasa, they sent 3 portable AC units over. The portable units helped but just couldn’t keep up.
There was also an issue with the fridge. Freezer door wouldn’t shut properly. I also told vacasa about that. They said their tech checked it and it was fine. The seal was coming apart on top of the door preventing it from shutting properly. They need to find a new tech if this guy couldn’t see that. We had to keep a towel on the floor to catch the water dripping from freezer.
The place needs a little updating but not bad though. Toilet seat in master bath could be changed, it’s old and stained from cleaners being used, not very appealing. To many cooking utensils in kitchen, no free cabinet space to put anything you bring with you.
We’re a pretty easy going family so it all didn’t ruin our vacation, we still had fun. I know things happen and HVAC systems stop working, I just wish it didn’t happen during our stay.

This was the most well equipped facility that we've used and we've used many! The unit was pretty clean and comfortable. The only issues we had were the bed in the master sagged in the middle because the support beam was not attached and the heat went out the last couple days (when it was actually needed) and was not able to be fixed before we left.

Good House & Location in the keys, easy to get out to Vaca Cut. This would be a 5-star review if they left any paper products in the house. Arriving to a home that did not have toilet paper/paper towels/tissues after a 10.5 hour drive was not a pleasant experience.

They seemed more interested in displaying their political leanings versus enjoying the moment. However, we enjoyed the stay. We contacted management for additional towels and they responded promptly.
Our intention was to relax and also do some bridge fishing. This location was great for that. Next time we will bring a boat as the canals offer great access to offshore fishing if the weather permits.
We would definitely go back again.

Nice location in key colony. It’s a little hot because of how it faces in the afternoon but we don’t mind that. The kitchen had enough items to use to cook with. Plenty of plates and silverware. Ac worked great. We will rent again

Relaxing getaway
Loved the fact that our boat was just outside the door. The parking for the boat as a temporary to get ready in the driveway was difficult but we managed with a couple nice neighbours. The condo was filled with all the essentials needed for our stay. It is a very quiet and friendly area. We would certainly do it all again.

Relaxing with a view
It was a wonderful stay and the view for coffee in the morning was calming and peaceful. The house was tidy and spacious and the kitchen was well stocked with cooking needs. The master bed was comfortable but it was said that the guest bed was a little on the hard side. Really nothing negative to say. We are easy to please and found everything we needed. Nice little town Marathon. We hope to return.
