June 2014 - Remodeled all new kitchen granite counter tops, custom made cabinets, all new appliances, new floor tile throughout new furniture in both living room and bedroom May / June 2019 Remodeled both bathrooms with all new showers, and vanities with granite counter tops From our private lanai you’ll enjoy watching beautiful sun rises over top of Mt Haleakala as you sip your morning coffee,, and at days end, watch those famous Hawaiian sunsets right from our lanai. Or stroll along the beach enjoying days end at the calm ocean and beautiful views. From our bedroom and walkway enjoy views to West Maui mountains and toward Kahului Our 1 bedroom 2 full bathrooms condo offers A/C in both the living room and the bedroom, plus ceiling fans new Flat screen TV, DVD, stereo Free Wi-Fi Internet. Fully furnished, includes a full kitchen with new appliances and everything needed to prepare most any meal, In-unit washer and dryer, sleeping arrangements for up to 4 persons. D-style floor plan unique to Maui Sunset. Queen size bed in the bedroom, queen size sofa bed and a day bed. All rates quoted are Double Occupancy. Additional guests are $10 per guest per night. Kayak, windsurf, and kite-surf with drive-up beach access at the adjoining county park. Play tennis with the ocean in the background. Manicured grounds, large swimming pool, hot tub, tennis courts, exercise room, sauna, four shuffle board courts, and even a putting green. Free continental breakfast at the activities desk at poolside to learn about Maui and receive discounts to many activities. We are centrally located near shops, restaurants, souvenirs, groceries, Maui activities and just minutes from the championship golf courses Cancellation Policy: $100 cancellation fee if cancelled outside of 45 days prior to arrival for low season, 60 days for high season. All Payments non-refundable if cancelled within 45 days of scheduled arrival – 60 days for high season. Check in time is 3 pm or later. Check out is by 11 am. A Late Check out might be available and includes additional fees, and it must be approved before a final payment is made. Please ask us about this. Non Smoking condo includes Lanai. The condo was great. It had all the amenities and extras (beach chairs and towels, etc.) to make our stay even more pleasant. Highly recommended.
One note: the toilet paper holder in the small bathroom needs to be replaced.

Clean, in a good location with a view of the ocean. Nice pool and hot tub.The park next to the ocean is really great.Nice and quiet. Beach chairs and towels were a plus.
Suggestion: provide a kettle for tea drinkers, pour hot water into a cup from a pan is a little dicey.Good value for money.Earl was a delight to work with !

We had a great time here. Excellent location just outside of the busy town but still on the main strip. Very nice property with BBQs and pool. Beach is great for sunsets but very shallow for swimming. There are great beaches nearby.

Great location to nearby restaurants and grocery store. Check process was easy and the resort grounds were immaculate. The BBQ’s were cleaned every morning and pool was super clean. Will comeback and stay again! Thanks.

Everything was nice, property was beautiful and well taken care of. The beach was great for walking. We were able to see quite a few turtles! Awesome sunsets!

Lovely condo with a great view of the ocean. Enjoyed drinking my morning coffee out there. Condo was fully loaded with dishes and silverware which was super helpful. Very clean. Washer and dryer in unit as well. Earl was very responsive with any questions. Will definitely be back!

Properly met our expectations and beyond. Everything was clean and well taken care of. Location was great. Not to busy of a neighbour But close enough to pretty much everything that we had a short drive to all the things we did on the island. Beach was rocky and lots of coral but was a great spot for a walk and sunsets. Lawns were so well taken care of and pool was great. Only suggestion would be to update the pans as they were scratched, flaking and didn’t sit flat on the burners, but obviously we made due and didn’t effect our stay. Mahalo!

We enjoyed staying at the condo. It was a great location for us as we enjoyed being able to walk to the closest shopping plaza to grab a bite to eat. We also appreciated the beachfront. The beach is much rockier than other beaches we have stayed near in Maui but because of that it often felt like you had the whole beach to yourselves. We loved seeing the kite surfers out every day. The condo was well stocked with dishes, some basic spices and coffee filters etc. It had good beach chairs. There are two suggestions for improvement, one, either new knives or a knife sharpener. The all of the straight edge knives were dull and made it hard to cut things up for meals. The second, install a keypad entry system. On the second night in the condo we went out to look at the stars at 10pm and the key accidentally fell out of his pocket. Thankfully we were able to locate it. After that we noticed most other condo units did have keyless entry systems installed. Neither of these things were show stoppers though, overall it was a fantastic stay and we would stay there again.

We’ve been to Maui Sunset many times. This unit is the BEST appointed, with total kitchen remodel, exceptional workmanship, new granite tops, custom cabinets, tile floors even out to lanai. The video needs to be updated—doesn’t do this great place justice. Thanks so much and we hope to be back to this unit! (All else also worked great BTW).

10 days of Paradise
Our first time to Maui was amazing and we can't wait to go back. We arrived after hours on 6/25 and there was a delay with locating our keys, it was taken care of quickly. We also had an issue with our air conditioning leaking on our lanai. We made a call to maintenance and the issue was addressed right away. Everything in the condo was clean and comfortable. It was much appreciated to have everything we needed stored in our room like beach chairs, snorkel equipment, umbrella and cooler etc. The grounds were beautifully maintained every day and we really enjoyed our stay.

We found the inside condo clean and the outside yard/pool/tennis court are well maintained. Will definitely come back to this property. Highly recommended!

This place was great
Stayed here with my 15 year old son (who slept on the day bed), my 17 year old daughter (who slept on the couch) and my wife (we slept in the bedroom). I booked this room for the price. I was going to book a $300 a night room, but was worried I would be disappointed, so I booked this condo for around $150 a night and had low expectations. As soon as we walked in we all said this place is great. All the info provided by the owners in the listing is accurate (pictures and description). Sometimes you worry about deceptive listing, not here. The unit might seem like something out of the 80's, but who cares, the price is right. The complex it is in is also great, (pool, shuffleboard, a putting green). The complex is mostly families and noise was never an issue (we went to bed every night at 9pm). Plenty of room for parking in the lot. The tennis courts and beach are part of a public park. The beach is ok for lounging, but it's not where you would have a day with family (it's a little rocky), you will want to explore all the beaches on the island anyway. This is the perfect location for a base camp to explore all parts of the island. If we ever come back, we would definitely rent this condo again.

The Maui Sunset is a terrific location with beautiful grounds. Coffee on the Lanai overlooking the ocean, and impeccably kept grass and pool area. You can walk along the ocean, watch people boarding, kayaking and fishing from the long shallow shore. I love the laid back town of Kihei- great food, excellent beaches, snorkeling and close to the beauty of Makena and Wailea beaches.

The property was absolutely amazing and view was so nice! The condo was very clean and tidy and felt homey. Earl was beyond helpful with our stay and was very responsive with any questions or help that we needed! Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay again!

Great place for two friends, couple or couple with a child. We were two friends traveling. Nice to have two bathrooms, so the person sleeping on the daybed in the main area doesn't have to traipse through the bedroom to use the bathroom. This was a big plus, as we could both be getting ready at the same time. Nice to have the daybed and not have to use the sleeper sofa. No pulling out every night, and putting away in the morning.
Good size deck. Best part is that you can see the ocean and Haleakala from the deck. The architect did a great job placing these buildings on the property, so all condos have views. One day the tradewinds came up, and we could sit on the deck and there was no wind. Liked being on the 4th floor - just a better view of the water.
The best part is that S. Kihei road is east of the complex, unlike many Kihei condos where this busy road runs between the complexes and the parks/beaches. There is a public park with tennis courts and pickleball courts - so no busy road to cross. The beaches in Kihei are not the best, but you are just a short 8-15 minute drive to some of the best beaches on Maui in Wailea.
We were there during Covid and before the holiday rush. So, the pool was busy, but not overly crowded. Could always find a lounger. Guessing this might not be the case during high season. Lots of little kids. So, would say this complex is popular with families.
The condo is well stocked with cooking utensils, tin foil, plastic wrap, cups, wine glasses, plastic glasses, etc. Plenty of beach towels, and stackable washer/dryer for laundry.
Short walk to local coffee place, Coconuts fish restaurant, and grocery store.
The property manager was very helpful making sure we were aware of the Covid restrictions and process to enter Hawaii. And after our departure I mentioned just a couple small items to him, and he was appreciative of the feedback.
I highly recommend and hope to return with my husband.

Absolut schöne Wohnung
Die Wohnung ist sehr schön und geräumig. Für uns als Familie mit 2 kleinen Kindern absolut ausreichend. Pool schön groß und gut temperiert. Einzigst das Meer direkt am Hotel ist nicht wirklich zum Baden geeignet. Aber mit Auto kein Problem. In 5min. Ist man an mehreren anderen Stränden zum Baden.
Küche ist voll ausgestattet und mit den Grills in der Anlage kann man super Essen zaubern.

Last minute booking, outstanding!
I came to maui for a family emergency, and I cannot say enough about the managers of this rental Co. Everyone bent over backwards in my eyes to accommodate me during a difficult time. I would book here again, and will in the near future. Ty for all your help and kindness.

Filthy floor
We found everything about the condo very nice except for the fact that the tile floor throughout was filthy. It did not necessarily appear so, but if we showered and then walked around in the condo for just 10 minutes, the bottoms of our feet were literally black! No exaggeration here.

Everything was great. Clean, comfortable.
I was supposed to check out on sept 14 to return to NC (the day before hurricane Florence hit) airports were closed so I couldn’t leave. Earl was great and let me extend my stay a few more days until the local airports reopened. Everyone was so understanding and helpful. The unit was clean comfortable and so convenient to everywhere I needed to to go. I would stay there again.
