Excellent location and parking not too much of a problem. Traditional pub but very quiet in the room. The pub dogs were very well behaved.
The room was rather small. We wanted to reorganise our cases having travelled from Australia, but not enough room to do this.

Great general value for money. Beautiful pub, roomy and cosy room and generally clean. The breakfast options were good and it was very tasty. Staff were generally very friendly and helpful.
There was a lot of noise from the pub downstairs, despite the fact my room was two floors higher. It's not an ideal location if you want to get early nights. Great if you want a party every evening though.

although our stay was a whistle stop affair ,it had a very homely feel and staff were very helpfull and welcomming. Animals at property were lovely and would love to stay here again at a more lesiurely pace .

Lovely friendly local pub, stayed on a work trip, unfortunately didnât get to eat dinner we were too late but it looked lovely and breakfast was great.
Rooms were clean, spacious comfy beds, nicely decorated and fab showers. Would definitely recommend and wouldnât hesitate to stay again.
Dinner service finishing at 8.30 was a bit of a surprise and Iâd had delayed trains. But weâd know for next time.

Nothing. However if you want a lie in, donât expect external factors to surprise you⌠nothing to do with the customer experienceâŚ.. itâs in the centre of the village and itâs active.

Bin hadn't been emptied since previous guests, very loud in the evening with entertainment from the bar, expensive for what it was

warm and inviting atmosphere
wasnât told Friday night is music night so after a long 300 mile drive to be waken up by very loud music not impressed.No hot water in the morning so no showers for us.
When we complained regarding the loud music we were told this is a pub what did we expect!We then said thereâs no hot water we were told the plumber was dealing with that situation.
next time we had a shower was the morning we left to come home.

Has a great bar serving a good selection ion drinks, food is great, including the breakfast. The staff are all very nice and easy going. Great atmosphere.

The Howard Arms is a fantastic pub and hotel,the staff are amazing and you can see how hard they work in the quality of the Howard Arms product,love the owners dogs and cat wandering around,we will always return and recommend as a great place for food,drink and accommodation and exceptional customer service.
