We loved the location. All communication was easy and great. The home didn't have a warm feel and def bring all your own stuff including kitchen towels, hand soap for the bathroom, etc... there was only one roll of toilet paper for the week for a fam of 3. Thanks for a relaxing week.

Great little house and location on Crystal Lake. Just enough space for the 5 of us. We all had a great time here. Although the continuous breeze off the lake kept the house cool enough, it did get rather humid at times. Overall, would definitely love to stay there again!

Love the location. Need to replace couch, it sinks so low u have to pile on pillows to sit on

this place was just perfect for us. we enjoyed hanging around on the beach and watching the sunset by the fire. the location is great, lots to see and do in the area. the cabin is cozy and well equipped with the basics. management was quick to respond and respectful of the privacy of the tenants. we totally recommend this property and plan to return.

Great little house on a beautiful lake. Perfect for a low key vacation. Our kids caught a bunch of tiny fish right from the dock and we had a lakeside campfire every night. Check-in and communication was great. Even better if you can get both of the small homes on the property and stay with another family!

Great rental value for a property on beautiful Crystal Lake. There is an identical cottage adjacent on the shared property. The lot is large enough that this wasn't a problem. The shoreline is stunning with a sandbar going several hundred feet out. Great spot for swimming, kayaking, water sports. The cottage had all the basic amenities needed.

It was a great place to stay. We will try to go back next year.

Perfect cabin for myself and my 2 kids. My mother and father in law stayed at the cabin next to us. It was a great family get away! Cabin is small but perfect for what we wanted. Beautiful views of the lake and kids loved swimming off the dock! We will definitely stay there again!

It was a great area for all the lake Michigan beaches it was a great view on the lake a nice fire pit next to lake nice big yard with plenty of outside furniture the cabin was small an dated everything is pretty old nothing fancy there the microwave did not work though there is another cabin next to you we had great neighbors we had a wonderful time there though nothing like waking up to coffee on the lake AWSOME Crystal lake is beautiful

We especially loved all the windows and the incredible view of Crystal Lake, my husband's childhood area for the summers. We had 4 adults and 1 bathroom but it worked out just fine. Nice fire pit but it was so windy we didn't get a chance to use it. If you like a cabin feel from the 50's, this is the place. One thing to consider is provide sheets and towels.

Had a great time. Had everything we needed and loved the view. Dustin was great answering questions and came at 9:30 at night to re-light the pilot light. Would definitely stay here again.

We enjoyed our stay....we fished both Crystal lake and Lake Michigan at Frankfort. Nice property and a great location from which to enjoy upper Michigan

Overall this worked great for what we needed. Definitely not fancy but for the price didn’t expect it to be. Easy to find and great central location. If we had more time we would have explored Crystal Lake itself. It’s just beautiful! Would definitely bring our kayaks next time. Only minor complaint is there is a musty type smell when you come in. Would work on somehow trying to get rid of that. Kind of a basement type odor. We did get used to it but it would do a lot for advertising to get rid of that. Easy access to owners on directions, etc. Just suggesting a few furniture/decor upgrades could get you even more monthly because you cannot beat the location!!

carpet is very stained and dirty, shower head didn't work until i replaced it, refridge is old and rusty and should be replaced, full bed mattress is terrible and should be replaced. Other than that it's a great location and the property is nice. Not sure we'd stay there again unless the aforementioned items were taken care of. Too much money for the condition of the cottage.

Lucky enough to have nice neighbors both weeks.. I would definitely recommend this rental to anyone interested in the area!!! Only change I would make it hooks!!! I would put more hooks and get rid of the towel bars!!! Little thing but when an area is small. It helps!!! Even boat hooks on the dock would be helpful!!!

This property is awesome, it was the perfect lake get away for the two of us. Dustin was incredibly nice and helpful with our stay. We love visiting this part of the state and this cabin was a great home base for all our up north adventures. Unreal sunrises and sunsets on the lake. It was nice to take a swim everyday, after coming back from a hike or a bike ride. Close enough to Frankfort and Empire. We would stay here again, and will always be thankful about our time spent here in 2018. Dave and Julie

We needed to find a rental which would accept a dog and needed to be in the vicinity which was convenient for our vacation/business trip. The waterfront is very nice and great for dipping and laying in a chaise in the yard. The cottage, however, is depressing and musty. There is an awful indoor/outdoor carpeting throughout (obviously laid on a cement slab) which leaves your socks moist and dirty and the bathroom floor is always wet (condensation?)--you must wear sandals inside. Because there is no air conditioning, everything remains humid and damp. I would have left the first day, but my husband insisted we tough it out and try to enjoy the surrounding area during the day. This is obviously a valuable piece of land. In my opinion, the cottages should be demolished--it would be a beautiful site for a new dwelling. Otherwise, the rental price should be halved and, perhaps young families without a great deal of money to spend on vacation with little kids who just want to be outside should be the targeted renters. BTW, I spent $200 to try to spruce up the place while we were there--large flower boxes, a cheerful table cloth, fabric to cover the drab chairs, an ironing board, and carpet deodorizer (all which I took back with me.) Today, when people who do any traveling have a multitude of choices and can stay in some great places, given good planning, I see no reason that this should be an option to consider. Why hang on to this for rental property--sell it for a handsome price or build something in which people in this day and age can enjoy and are willing to pay for. As it is, I would not recommend renting this outdated, drab, musty, block structure (with rusty appliances to boot.) For us it was a waste of vacation time and money.

Wonderful little cabin and was great for four adults. We were pleasantly surprised to find that there was free wi-fi as well. The neighbors in the cabin next to us were great as well. Nicely furnished with plenty of chairs and a picnic table outside. The owner was very responsive to my emails as well prior to our trip. I would definitely rent this cabin again.

Cute little cabin. Initial sleeper sofa was less than comfortable but owners came immediately to replace it when told. Very clean, all new kitchen equipment, new bedding, great style, very responsive owners. Cute private yard right up to lake, great with kids, reasonably priced, I would recommend all around.
