Your family will love the Coastal Caribbean flair this well maintained and beautifully decorated home offers. Only 5 lots from a lifeguarded beach (in season)! Featuring ocean views from top deck and dining room, private pool, hot tub, gameroom with pool table, and 2 living rooms/dens. 3 bedrooms have private bathrooms and deck access. This home is conveniently located and within walking distance to shopping, movie theater, grocery store and Putt Putt. However, with first class amenities such as the outdoor pool and hot tub and a first floor game room, full bath and living area with TV, DVD and stereo who would want to leave. A second floor consisting of four bedrooms and three full baths make for a great getaway area for quiet time or lounge on the covered deck for total relaxation. If quiet isn't what you desire move to the third floor living area where there is ample room to gather with family and friends for food and fun in an open concept kitchen, dining, living space fully equipped to make your vacation easy breezy. Of course the Outer Banks is for the outdoors, so step out onto the screened porch and enjoy a view of the ocean or wonder to the upper sun deck for some fun in the sun. The third floor master bedroom and half bath round out this vacation paradise.

Beds are key for us and everyone slept great. The beds were so comfortable.
We were disappointed that the hot tub didn’t work. My dad who is disabled was really looking forward to it so that was a bummer. We never could get the lock off the shed with the bikes because it was rusted.
Other issues were resolved quickly. We really did enjoy this place.

Starting with the pros- the location couldn’t have been more perfect..2 minute walk to the beach and market, close by bars and restaurants too! Kitchen was pretty stocked with pots, pans, etc. The house was very spacious with plenty of spots for my group to hangout & the check in process was very easy.
There were a few concerns. First concern being that you can tell the owners don’t stop by the house often. There was a broken cabinet in the kitchen that was off the hinges, a loose knob on the closet door in one of the master bedrooms, some of the sliding doors didn’t lock, and the worst of all, the hot tub display didn’t work, which meant we couldn’t turn the temperature up to enjoy it. I contacted the owners without hearing back. Communication after check in was nonexistent.. not one response from them. They did however, send someone to check out the hottub, after the first time complaining to them, which would’ve been great if it had gotten fixed. The maintenance guy did fix the display on the hottub, but once we tried turning up the temperature, we realized it was still not working. I contacted the owners for a second time regarding this concern, and did not hear back.
Overall, my group enjoyed our stay because we were able to lay out by the pool and walk to the beach but lack of communication with the owners is unfortunately a reason for my group and I to not to come back.

Good house with a lot of nice amenities! Fantastic location - walking distance to the beach, multiple restaurants, and supermarkets. We had one or two maintenance issues with the house but the owners responded immediately and got everything fixed. My friends and I hope to stay again!

Great vacation rental for a large family! Plenty of space for everyone. Beach access is very close! Pool and hot tub was a plus! Plenty of yard space to walk your fur babies. Conveniently located to grocery stores, restaurants, and other treats. Walking distance to Goombays. Highly recommended and would stay again!

Spacious 3-level with lots of furnished outdoor space. Four teens and two tweens had the bottom floor to themselves for TV viewing and pool/pingpong. Well equiped kitchen, 2 frigs, ample parking and 300 yards from the beach; plenty of pool chairs, beach equipment... Our 3 families had a great time. We've already booked it again for our family vacation for next summer.

Overall great property. Layout is perfect for large group/family to have plenty of space. Must say the property is ready for a spring clean. A couple bulbs needed replacing but it didn’t hamper our stay. We did have a situation to need to reach the property manager/owner about an appliance. The issue was quickly rectified!

The property is in an ideal location to go to the beach, restaurants and stores. The house was tastefully decorated and very clean and neat, which was a big concern as we have a two year old and a nine month old. I did call the owner because I had previously asked if the house had a PackNPlay, and was told there is one. There wasn’t one there and when I told him, he had a new one delivered in about an hour. The house was very spacious for my family of 11. Again thanks for renting us your lovely house.

We vacationed with our adult children and had a terrific week. The house is very comfortable, well appointed, and a short 5 minute walk to the ocean.
It was nice that our dog was able to stay in the house too.
We hope to return again next year!

We had a wonderful stay for three nights in this great house in Kill Devil Hills! The house was beautiful, fully stocked with everything you could need in the kitchen and throughout the house. We couldn’t have been happier! Thank you to the Darden family!!

Our rental was for an end of summer trip. We stayed 8 nights. Check in was super easy and well written out. The bedrooms were perfect for what we needed. And the number of bathrooms was amazing! The kids loved the pool table. We all loved the pool, outdoor shower and hot tub. The best part is the location! Not too far down OBX. The beach is right there. Easy walk with 5 kids under 8. The grocery store is right across the street at the light, so incredibly easy to get to. The kitchen is VERY WELL stocked, TONS on beach equipment we didn’t even need to bring our own! There weren’t any beach towels so just be sure to bring those (we do anyway). Everything was very clean. The house had soft beachy colors on the walls so it was very comforting. The neighborhood is amazing to walk/ride bikes in and everyone is very courteous with the younger ones and walking or on bikes. The beach itself is also great. The waves were amazing for playing in the water. Highly recommend!

Very suitable property for our family of 8 adults and 2 children. Reasonable walk to a good beach access and the pool and hot tub are excellent for our group. Well stocked kitchen with all that we needed for a week long stay. Would stay here again.

Overall it was a wonderful stay. It fit our needs very well. The property seems to be a bit older and this was at the end of the season, so maybe some minor renovations would be needed in the future. We had a leaking toilet issue that was addressed promptly the next day once we contacted the owner.

Overall this is a great place for a good size group or family. We didn't have any personal issues with the house but did observe a few minor maintenance issues that may need to be resolved in the near future. A few examples: middle step broke off on the pool ladder, several sliding doors do not lock or are not usable, and a few nails coming up on the deck boards but not too many. Just don't want someone to get injured by any of them sticking up. Inside the home is very pretty and quite spacious with everything in the kitchen to help you feel at home. The 2 block walk to the beach was quick and easy plus having the outdoor shower was awesome to rinse off from the ocean. Unfortunately the jellyfish were out on our last day there so we chose to not get in the ocean but did go back and enjoy the pool one last time with our children and grandchildren. Thank you for the opportunity to rent your home for the week. We greatly appreciated it!

Perfect vacation!
The house was so spacious inside and out - lots of deck / sun porch/ balcony areas to enjoy the sunrise and sunsets. The game room was a hit with our group. It was so nice to have an extra full size fridge on the first floor. All of the bedrooms were spacious and the living room, dining and kitchen were lovely! the pool and hot tub were also enjoyed by our group. Everything you need for the perfect vacation! Thank you!

Arrived and found the place looking like a cleaning service didn’t come. Pillows on the floor, wet dirty socks outside. Several thing broken (toilet seat, outdoor chair x 2 , bench, pool was disgusting, pool toys and gear tossed haphazardly in a corner outside.t - The cover

was trash and wet socks outside by
the outdoor furniture. Red outdoor
chair was broken, pillows all over floor

We really enjoyed staying at this property. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very nice and there was plenty of room for us to hang out. The basement game room was a favorite. We could not get in the pool because it was not in season but the hottub was great and the outdoor shower was perfect for rinsing off after the beach. Took only a couple walks to get to the beach access. The owners were very accommodating and rather easy to connect with. Overall, our stay was very nice and would recommend this property.

After further looking around we came to find out the hotub was only 1/2 full, partially green, and smelled like urine. I called the property manager to communicate this issues, with no call returned. Very shocking because communication prior to check in date was stellar, but the day we come it ceased (when we needed the communication the most)
As we went to enjoy the deck, the porch bench was broken, but it was propped against the house so when a friend went to take a seat, down he went. Wonder why? There was no hind legs. As the stay went on things were okay, but each day we would find something else broken or something that didn’t work, like the handle to flush the toilet on the 2nd floor was broken, creating issues with flushing.
The location of the property was great, close to the beach and many restaurants/bars. I definitely will be coming back to the OBX, but will not be staying in this property again,

The owner was called and he sent someone out right away to clean & fix them. The bedrooms were spacious, and the king beds were nice. We had plenty of room to spread out. We made use of the pool & ping pong table in the basement, that was fun. The hot tub was nice, but took a long time to get hot. It was probably our fault because we didn't turn it on early enough to give it time to get up to the correct temperature. Overall, it was a nice stay and we would definitely stay there again.
