Nestled in Aptos, this lovely condo for R 6,153 per night is a fantastic option for your next trip. Hosted rental permit #231268. In a great neighborhood. Great for long walks, there are nearby hiking trails to the ocean. Access to beach is 6 blocks away, on "Beachgate Way". You either walk or drive and park near the stairs going to the beach. Hot tub is available for an extra fee. It is on the 3rd floor of this home. It also has tables, seating, BBQ, firepit, and lounging areas all to yourselves! This studio has all the amenities for your comfort. Close to everything. The studio has its own private entrance, and private yard. It has its own covered porch, with lots of seating overlooking the ocean. Maximum two adults. No children. No visitors. If you need anything, just ask! More filtered water, ice, I am always available. This is a 3 story home. The studio is on the 1st floor of the home. This home has been on the Annual Symphony League Home Tour two times, and has been in the local newspaper, as the 'Fanti-Sea House'. Aptos is an idyllic beach community with a small-town feel and diverse population. Nestled amongst miles of pristine beaches, rolling hills, towering redwood trees, and strawberry fields, the community sets the scene for an extraordinary lifestyle. Situated on Monterey Bay's northern coast, Santa Cruz/Aptos homes are found within a progressive resort community. The area is alive with families, artists, local business owners, surfers, students, and visitors who return year after year. Amazing views from Monterey to Capitola. There are no better views in Santa Cruz. Not suitable for parties. Security deposit may be withheld. When you inquire, please tell us a bit about yourselves, or your situation. Please e-mail us a bit about yourself when you first inquire about the accommodations..... either before or at the time you book. Although the studio is very private, we like to know who will be sharing our space, so we ask quests to share a little bit about themselves before they make a reservation. Check In is 3:00pm Check Out is 11:00am. $20. an hour for late check outs or early check in. Be sure and check out the video after seeing the pictures. It is also located on the main picture, top left. A few days prior to check in let host know around what time you will be arriving. Park on the street in front of the small gate, or as closed as you can. Leave room for other cars. Push gate open in the middle towards the house. Always close gate so our small dog does not get hurt. Go to the right into the backyard, I will leave the studio key in the door for you if you tell me around your time of arrival. No other guests or visitors or Security deposit may be withheld. Come Sea for Yourself! Plenty of sun, sand and sur. Santa Cruz is the quintessential coastal California town. It is actually the place where surfing was first introduced to the mainland back in 1880, which explains why Santa Cruz exudes such a laid-back charm. While surfers flock here to ride the city's famous waves every year, Santa Cruz is far more than just a destination for those seeking the perfect wave. Note: in the video the other smaller studio is shown only. Also if you want to save water, 3minutes prior to your shower or bath press the button on the left of the shower. It will take 15 seconds for the hot water. If you do not want to save water, ignore this message. It will take about 45 seconds for the hot water. Noise ordinance, quiet hours, 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. Emergency evacuation, go to the front of the property to street.

What a beautiful place!! So nice to arrive and see the personalized welcome sign and a gift package with bath salts and snacks. The space is like a museum with a mix of Tibetan/African safari/beach art. Pictures covered every available wall. Stacks of dvds and nicknacks to see and tons of snacks from tuna to Twinkie's, there’s even coconut powder!? You will not go hungry here! Easy walk to the beach and to Manuals..the best Mexican restaurant in the whole world, in my opinion.
I’m a minimalist so all that stuff wasn’t for me but I’d be happy sleeping in a tent on the patio. The views are priceless!!

Really enjoyed our stay here. Jeanelle was a wonderful host. Gave us plenty of privacy but was readily available if we needed anything. And the view from our room was phenomenal! We spent hours just reading, relaxing and enjoying the view. Great location, just minutes from Capitola. We look forward to staying here again.

So first let me start off by addressing those who complained about this place… yes it’s someone’s home and yes you can hear sounds but if you we’re staying home you would hear sounds as well… the view is amazing and Jeanell is an awesome host, always ready to help you out like lighting the fire pit… and when sitting outside and enjoying the views she’s not watching you, you really don’t know if she’s home. We were greeted with a welcome sign and a very cute gift that was left on the bed…. This is our second time here and I will make it a yearly event… if your looking for a relaxing time and no BS this is the place… Thanks for an amazing weekend Jeanell

Jeanell is a wonderful host - very communicative, prompt to reply, and has everything you need in stock at the lovely getaway. The ocean view and sounds were spectacular, calming, and beautiful. Will definitely consider staying at Fanta-Sea again!

Despite the fact that the Seacliff Beach is forever changed with the loss of the pier, the views from the patio just can't be beat. From Monterey to 41st Avenue... sweeping and gorgeous.

I planned this trip for my wife’s birthday. Jeanell was very accommodating. I asked if we could checkout an hour later and she agreed. There was a severe storm warning the weekend of our trip. When we arrived Jeanell greeted us and offer us the use of the hot tub for making trip.

We stopped for a few days over my birthday wanting something with an ocean view. We loved the property, loved the town and the hostess was awesome. Little touches throughout the unit really attract your attention. The details were just awesome. We’ll be back for sure!!

This listing is for a bedroom in a house. It is not private at all. The hosts living quarters look down onto the "private" patio with wall to wall windows. There are two seperate doors that lead to other rooms in the hosts house. One of these doors is in the bathroom and is a glass door covered with a piece of fabric. You can hear everything that is going on above you and around you. No doors to the bathroom, no window coverings to the large wall to wall windows in the bathroom. NO PRIVACY! Please review the one and two start reviews. They are completely accurate! We had planned to stay one night and left 10 minutes after we arrived. I informed the host that we were leaving and requested a refund due to the misleading listing. She was extremely rude and denied all statements I was making. My husband and I had driven 4 hrs to stay at this rental and we decided that we would rather drive home than stay one night in that fish bowl, soggy bed, unsanitary rental. I have been staying in VRBO for years now and I have never had an experience like this. The host should not be in the position of providing hospitality because she is not hospitable.

unique place, great view, quiet and comfy
All was great. not much of a kitchen, but not a problem for us. You can cook outside on a gas BBQ, has a mini fridge, microwave, hot plate, etc. Store is close by and plenty of take out opportunities. beautiful view of the bay/beach. pleasant owner. would recommend.

Happy House
My girlfriend and I had an extraordinary stay here at Happy House. The views are epic and even more incredible in real life than the pictures do justice. It was very comfortable, everything was functioning well and well cared for, clean and upkept. The thoughtful and generous owner left a sweet sign for us and quite a few gifts. This place is truly a hidden gem and I would definitely love to stay here again

Decorative rocks in the bottom of each sink that you spit into were unpleasant at best. Kitchen appliances if you wish to use them have to be brought outside to plug them in. To take a shower you have to go through a 10 minutes process to get hot water. Owner lives on property and you can hear the owner moving around upstairs. This is a dingy basement studio, at best. Lights burned out, unstable WiFi….on and on. You’ve been warned!

Lovely Getaway
We recently stayed at this rental for my husbands 40th birthday and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. 😃 The landscaping of the property is absolutely gorgeous with lush greenery everywhere and the view is TO DIE FOR!! The entire front of the rental is windows so you have gorgeous views of the ocean from the bed, the jetted tub and the shower! Don’t worry… it’s completely private and no risk of anybody being able to see you in your nakedness! 😉 Once you go out and the exquisite patio you can see the entire Monterey Bay! It. Is. Spectacular!! Some may find the decor quirky but we found it whimsical and utterly charming!! 🥰 Similar to other reviewers, the only cons were the lack of spaces to put your items (there are no closets, dressers, etc.), limited availability of outlets (we had to unplug some of the nightlights so we could use our chargers), and the lack of a full size refrigerator/freezer. There is a mini fridge (which was stocked with eggs and homemade(?) seeded bread 😀) but not much room for anything else and no freezer. We only stayed one night so it wasn’t really an issue but it could be if you were planning a longer visit. There is no sink in the kitchen so things must be rinsed in the bathroom sinks, which is doable but I felt a little guilty pouring leftover wine over the pretty stones and sea glass that decorate the bottom of the basin. But the space was cozy, the jetted tub lovely (if a little small for two adults 😂 made fir done great laughs though!), the bed was super comfy, the temperature perfect and we enjoyed hearing the waves crashing all night, which was soothing and lovely. On top of it being my husbands 40th birthday it was also our first night away from our newborn and the property owner made our stay extra special by having roses, lit candles and music playing when we arrived. 😊 She had also left a birthday gift bag for my hubby and even a goodie bag for our new baby! So very thoughtful and sweet! Overall we had a wonderful stay! We would recommend to a single person or adult couple, and we look forward to staying here again in the future. 😁👍🏻👍🏻

Like staying at your grandmothers house
So Geez where do I begin. The view of the ocean is amazing. Far walk to the beach. This place has a toilet which has no door and is not private which was soo odd. It’s this place is so outdated complete with a skipping CD player and also a collection of cassette tapes. I wish I had pics for you. Run away, we left a day early. You’ve been warned. I just hate getting BS’d!! You will see what I mean if you decide to bypass my honest and 100% accurate review. No fridge, no ice, not even water. It’s much worse that that. The sinks are lined with old colored stones. This place is truly bizzare!

A very unique property with an exceptional, unobstructed view of the Monterey Bay. Comfortable and cozy, even on a somewhat rainy week. My husband and I stayed here for our 5 year wedding anniversary and it was totally the getaway we needed! The ocean views from this patio are to die for... and can be seen from anywhere inside the studio, too! There are so many ocean facing windows but you still feel you have your privacy because no one outside can see in at all. Of course you can also close the drapes as needed... and oh those black out drapes were heavenly so this tired mom & dad could get some much needed rest. Then in the morning we could enjoy our coffee while hearing the waves crash and ocean air surround us. The shower with an ocean view was pretty sweet, the soaker jetted tub a dream... we loved the outside fire table in the evening, too. And the nearby town of Capitola was so charming we spent a lot of time there.
Jeanell was super easy to work with, fast responder and accommodated all of our needs. A few things I could criticize which we didn't have a problem overlooking: the front yard you walk through to get to the studio smells like dog pee and there are too many nick nacks inside and outside for my taste. It was kinda hard to find a place to put stuff down. Plenty of chairs, though. At least inside surfaces were clean and not dusty as far as we could see on all the decorations and ornamental objects :)
In the end, I would definitely recommend this place if you are into quirky decor with incredible ocean views.

We had a great stay! Enjoyed the private patio with fire pit and plenty of seating overlooking the ocean. The jacuzzi bath was a relaxing end to our day. Owner was very gracious and attentive to our needs. We appreciated the privacy even though the owner was onsite. Don’t let that detour your stay. She offers privacy to her guests. We never saw her! The propane for fire pit just appeared when we needed it. She was great about communicating and making sure we had what we needed. Parking was easy (right out front!). We will definitely be returning!
