SUMMARY Surf Style 3 is our premiere ocean front corner townhome with 2br's + Den & 3ba's located in beautiful Mission Beach. Relax and enjoy stunning Ocean & Sunset Views from this fully remodeled modern vacation home that includes 2 levels of ocean front, floor to ceiling windows for optimal sunset views, exclusive patio, AC, 1 carport parking (fits full size Range Rover), & sleeps 7. LIVING AREA (2 full levels of ocean front!) Our largest unit! This spacious 2-story townhome is stated on the corner of a 3 unit townhome building, with convenient entry off the ground floor. The first level houses an open floorplan for the main living area and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with high end stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, Italian tile flooring, Ocean View bar area, & dining table with seating for 4. The open living area also has sofa seating for 2-4 guests, with an additional den area equipped with an oversized sofa sleeper & flat screen TV. Rounding out the downstairs is 1 full bath with standing shower and beautiful floor to ceiling windows/doors that open to your private and exclusive front porch allowing for maximum Ocean Views and easy beach access. Off the 2nd level is br #2 with a Full/Twin bunk bed, flat screen TV, and attached full bath. The second bedroom is your master retreat, complete with a King sized and a second Ocean View bar area with floor to ceiling window, flat screen TV, as well as full bath with jetted tub! We had the best time! The home was perfect and the views were absolutely stunning!! The description online matched the home. Close to shops, restaurants, and store. We went to Sea World which took us about 5 minutes to get there. We went Sea Lion Cave which was close as well. We will be back soon!

Our stay at this particular property was awful. Other than the great view and location, we found the property, upon arrival, to be absolutely filthy.! There was what seemed to be grease and handprints all over the kitchen cabinets. This seemed to be the theme as we toured the home upon our initial arrival. We immediately noticed an odor around the sitting area (couch) which smelled of vomit. The upstairs master bath had a draining issue, which rendered the bathtub unusable after the first use. There were too many cleanliness issues to list here. We were notified the day of arrival that the air conditioner was not working, and a technician could not be provided at that time. So, in other words, management waited till our arrival to tell us the AC wasn't working and then said they were not going to have it fixed during our stay. We notified management. They stated their apologies and said they would reduce the charges to reflect our inconvenience. We did not receive a follow up call and they did not follow through with their statement. The largest complaint we have with this property is it was infested with the Covid virus. Both my wife and I developed symptoms on our last night there. Consequently, we both got extremely ill and required medical attention. We have all medical documentation to substantiate this statement. We have booked with your company numerous times in the past. Never have we walked into accommodations in such basic need of attention. MAKE THIS RIGHT!!!

Great location except AC/ HVAC unit wasn’t working the entire time we were there. The last two nights got pretty hot and though we kept the windows open the noisy boardwalk made us wake up a lot. Management said they were aware the first day and were working on it but no fix.

It was our families first time staying at a beach house and definitely not the last. This house game my family the opportunity to create a life time of memories. The home was clean and accommodating. The kitchen was stocked with all the essentials. The location and the open floor plan created a great atmosphere steps away from the sand. Thank you for allowing us to have a pleasant experience!

This place is great, is amazing to watch sunsets from your bedroom and really is stocked with everything you might need. Two thoughts for families with kids to consider: There is no outside hose, outside shower or brush so you will spend your time cleaning and sweeping sand. There is foot traffic all night long since there is streetlight right outside the Master bedroom window (no blackout shade). BUT the location is perfect as you are so close to some of the best places to eat and they have everything you would need for the beach and to a Lifeguard Tower.

Wonderful experience
We enjoyed our time at this property. It's well stocked and organized. The only recommendation is having a small step stool in order to reach the bowls on the top shelf.

Phenomenal location!
We had a fabulous stay at this rental. It is close to the beach and Tower 20. We felt safe being close to the lifeguard…with our kids swimming in the ocean. It was great to sit on the patio and watch the sunset and the ocean. Everything was clean and well maintained!

The view perfect. Local coffee shop 3 minutes walking, clean house, beautiful set up, welcoming, accessible. ONLY 1 downside was we drive a 2022 Suburban and it did not fit in the parking spot without crossing the fire line, so we had to pay for parking. It was 100% worth it! They even have a discount code for the zoo, which we used! It was a dream vacation!

The location of this rental was perfect. There are a few restaurants/shops very close by, Belmont Park is still walkable but far enough away to avoid the crowds, and the beach was never very crowded. You will hear boardwalk noise until 10 pm, after that it's just the sound of the ocean (but very loud because the windows are paper thin so be warned if that will bother you). As much as the location was great, the property was not very clean and in need of a lot of maintenance. There were cobwebs and dirty mirrors in the bathrooms, mysterious brown stained bath mat, filthy under cabinet lights, rusted(?) mirrors (there are sooooo many mirrors in this house), filthy bath fans, blackened microwave (I have no idea why a microwave would look like this but it didn't give us great confidence using it). My kids also wanted me to note the bunk bed was squeaky whenever someone moved - which is often. I would not stay here again.

Let me start by saying we have stayed in mission beach before but decided to get close to the water and what a difference it made! You are literally part of the boardwalk scene and the people watching and conversations (had some long ones with Slomo) were awesome! The beach in front of us had the best waves, we saw dolphins and the sunsets were breathtaking- and this viewing was carried on upstairs!
As for the house, it was fully stocked (wish they had provided coffee or let us know it wasn’t a keurig type (I had brought coffee pods), the layout and 3 THREE !!!! Full bathrooms made a world of difference for a week long stay with 2 kids! The beach accessories were hit or miss- there were 4 or 5 boogie boards but two were completely broken upon our arrival (but we never were without), we used the beach chairs which were great. We cooked about 2 meals a day there and although I set off the fire alarm 3 times frying bacon ,thanks to the open windows and vent we got it worked out.
The bed in the master was like a cloud- great mattress, pillows and duvet, the bunk bed squeaked too much for the kids to co exist so my son slept down stairs. But was happy for his own space.
The street light outside the master window is a bit bright at night. But outside of darker shades it’s doable- you may want to bring ear plugs or eye mask.
There were plenty of towels and blankets and the AC/and heat worked perfect. Water pressure was good and appliances were nice.
The only things that would have improved our stay would have been: coffee, the surround sound stereo working, being able to watch the warriors game on the tv, I also reached out to the management number (tried calling 4 times during normal M-F office hours) and got no response (although the after hours person was helpful), a hose or water feature outside (to be shared amongst the 3 units would have been nice to rinse off feet/boogie boards before entering, darker shades in the master.
Outside of these small insubstantial things, our trip was the best one ever and we want to make it a tradition every year!

Kitchen was well stocked with the essentials for the basic cooking we did. Having a parking spot was nice. Our large SUV fit in the covered spot, although it did require about a 5 point turn to pull in. I learned it was much easier to back into the spot. Would certainly come back and stay here again!

Surf Style 3
Location cannot be beat! Very nice how it opens up to the ocean front! Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, dishes, etc and had everything we needed. The only negative comment would be that the second bedroom is a little tight for adults. Maybe, reconfiguring the room to remove the built-ins and move the bed around to a allow better access to the bathroom would help. Overall--a lovely stay!

Modern right on the beach
Modern townhouse right on the beach, with 2 levels you get boardwalk views and panoramic beach views. We enjoyed not having anyone above us and the air conditioning was a nice surprise. The space was open and spacious, and the hosts were very helpful. We will rent again

I would stay again for location. House is smaller then it appears in photos. We had 4 adults so 2 of us had the bunk bed so not the most comfortable but we made it work. If you are staying in extra room as an adult you need to not be smaller in size if that makes since. Tight squeeze to get into bathroom and shower. The shower in that bathroom leaks on the floor as there is a gap in door. The master is bedroom is large and amazing views. The windows open up and what a view. The bathroom is a jet tub that I would personally not use as the a just a breading ground for germs. Personally my opinion and we all have options I know I would make it a walk in shower my mom who just turned 80 couldn’t step over the tub. The sand on floor is what it is your on a beach it’s part of the experience. It is a beautiful view and location. You can tell that the place is rent allot so stains on couch and chairs. The chairs in kitchen were not wiped down when we arrived so I wiped them down myself no biggie but just don’t expect that to be done. The bed sheets clean and bathroom wiped down things picked up when we arrived. They did have beach chairs and 3 beach towels. They had towels for each bathroom. They had a washer and dryer so you could do a load if need be. They have boggie boards but no umbrellas or shade cover anything so bring one or get one when you come. Also it’s a drip coffee pot worked good.
As for a good deep clean nope personally think one in one out so they do what they can to get you in fast. If you want it clean bring some bleach wipes.
Also one night we all went out forgot to lock door of car I know stupid us but we did get our car looked through and things were stolen lucky only things that are replaceable like sunglasses. So make sure you lock door before you go to bed every night. Common sense yes we know.
Bottom line would I stay again yes for location alone. Would I stay with 4 adults no. A family with kids yes for sure I would stay.

late July stay
My family of 5 had an 8 night stay here. The place was clean and right on the beach. Overall we enjoyed our stay, however, the washing machine was broken. As we expected to have laundry facilities available during our stay we did not pack enough clothes and had to pay for laundry services elsewhere. The rental company knew it was broken prior to our stay as there was a note placed on the machine however, we were not made aware and the machine was not fixed while we were there.
The master bedroom air conditioning did not effectively cool the room. As the weather is great in San Diego we would have been fine with having the windows open at night however the ocean walk can be busy and loud until early morning hours. One night one of the neighbors was up with several outdoor guests until 3am. Made it difficult to sleep several of the nights. One of the reasons we booked this unit was the ability to have AC available and this was not fixed during our stay. AC repair was sent twice but did not fix the unit. The rental company discussed offering us credit, etc... for out inconvenience but to this point we have not received anything.
I would caution about renting this unit until I confirmed the above was fixed.

Fun Summer Stay for Family of 6
We loved the townhouse layout since no one is above or below us, and was extra nice having the end unit so no one was next to us. We'll miss waking up & going to sleep in the master bedroom to sounds & views of waves crashing (the bed was super comfortable!). We're tv buffs so a plus having tv's in all the rooms. Only trouble was with the a/c the first night, but Surf Style was quick to reply and was user error as we had one of the units on heat and the other on cool, oops!! Another + was parking fit our Navigator SUV. We would definately return.
