The property is perfectly situated on a quiet spot of the river, away from the hustle and bustle of tourists, but close enough for all the fun. It is perfect for a small group gathering, a girls' weekend getaway, and for families. The house features a multi-level floor plan with 2 bedrooms and a sleeping loft (sleeps 10-12, depending on arrangement), 3 full baths, dining for 12, fully equipped kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, spacious living area with cozy stone fireplace and flat-screen TV, and a washer & dryer. The huge backyard boasts 3 levels of outdoor seating for relaxing and enjoying the water view. Grilling is available on an outdoor barbeque pit. More than twenty 100-foot pecan trees shade the lush riverside grass, perfect for a game of soccer or football. A public boat ramp is available nearby for launching boats and jet skis. There is a private dock for tying up, which is also perfect for fishing. So bring your fishing poles, kayaks, tubes and floats, and enjoy a relaxing vacation on the river! The house is conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown New Braunfels, Schlitterbahn water park, and tubing on the Guadalupe and Comal rivers. There is much to do in nearby historic Gruene, home to Texas’s oldest dance hall (Gruene Hall), several great restaurants and wineries, and abundant shopping in the quaint boutiques or at the Gruene Market Days. More shopping is just 20 minutes away at the outlet Malls of San Marcos. Nearby attractions in San Antonio include the Alamo, Sea World, Fiesta Texas, and the famous San Antonio River Walk, just 30 minutes away. You are also a short 45-minute drive from the state capital of Austin, and all it has to offer. In New Braunfels, you will never run out of things to do! The home was exactly what we were wanting! Very clean and the new deck is amazing! Everyone had a great time, there was plenty of room for the entire group. Communication from the host was always prompt! Would definitely stay here again.

Great place for a family weekend getaway. Short walk to the river. Plenty of space and sleeping spots. My family had a great time, we swam, fished, grilled out. Highly recommend!!

We had a lot of family travel to New Braunfels for a graduation and rented the house for 4 adults and one child. It was perfect. Clean, had everything we needed and a ton of space! We even had 5 unused beds! Great weekend!

We had 4 adults stay here for a long 3 day weekend. This house exceeded our expectations. It has a full, functionality kitchen and 2 outdoor grills to cook out. It could sleep many more comfortably as it has many rooms and beds that we did not even use. The new deck was great to relax and enjoy the river views. I would definitely return to this house next time we visit New Braunfels.

This place was amazing! Not only do the pictures not do it justice, but it exceeded what I was expecting. The property owners were so nice and easy to communicate with. 10/10 I would recommend and will definitely come back for another stay sometime!

We rented the property for our son's 13th birthday celebration trip. Upon arrival, we were welcomed into a very clean and sanitary environment. The house was beautiful and perfect for our family needs. This house is great, the communication with the mangers is great and we had a fantastic time. All of the amenties were amazing and we will definitely rent here again. Thanks for a great trip!

The house was beautiful and absolutely spotless upon arrival. The photos don’t do it justice, the house has SO much room and the overall set up of the house is very cool being 3 stories. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars and would 100% stay again!

This has been our first trip since the summer of 2019 because of Covid and it did not disappoint!! The pictures on the website are great but I was blown away when I saw the property in person! The house is so beautiful! With three levels, there was PLENTY of room for my family. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms were very clean. The view of the river from the house is gorgeous. The property and access to the river is stunning! I was worried that the water was going to be really deep all the way across but luckily it starts off shallow and gradually deepens the further you go into the river. This was a plus for me because I have young children. There are boats and jet skis that go by from time to time but they were considerate to slow down while we were floating and they always waved hello. The neighbors are absolutely wonderful and friendly. The property owners were a delight and so polite! Michelle was great at returning messages when I needed to communicate with her. She and her husband are extremely kind people and I really look forward to staying at their beautiful home again next summer!

A group of us visited "The Happy Place" for my husbands birthday. There was more than enough room for sleeping. We enjoyed the yard and patio, and of course the river. We brought tubes and floated the day away! Before we left, we were already talking about coming back. Highly recommend. Also, it's about 10 minutes to Bucee's!

Found this river front home at the last minute for the Memorial Day weekend. Outstanding amount of space for a large group. Chris and Michelle were fantastic and helpful at every turn. I will not hesitate to book the property again...book the River Haus, you will not be disappointed!
