Four-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. Although the main roads are usually plowed well, many residential areas require traversing steep hills on dirt roads that are not as maintained. We do not advise driving Berthoud Pass in a front-wheel drive vehicle unless you a comfortable putting chains on yourself. Weather and driving conditions may change rapidly. The best view of the mountains. Nice and very quiet cute place with a balcony and fireplace. The shower could use some help but we didn’t mind much, always had hot water! The girls at the office were very friendly and helpful with things to do and places to eat . IT SNOWED while we were there it was the topping in the cake so beautiful.

Grand mountain rental company was excellent to work with. Very good communication and assistance. condo was fine, but would warn that deck is actually pretty noisy almost all day and early evening. good view, but hard to enjoy with the non-stop traffic below. may have been due to holiday weekend. Condo could use some updating, and TV hard to use if you don't have streaming accounts. Fireplace not useable during our stay. No one's fault, but almost called police due to neighbors fighting very loudly and a bit scary.

This is a great rental for enjoying the view. We were hardly there but to sleep so it was fine. Very old but clean!

First, the view was spectacular. Definitely a five star view off of the balcony. As for the rest of it, the condo was meh. The furnishings and property were pretty tired and dated. There didn’t appear to be much thought to the guest experience. As one example (and there were several we could give but I’m only adding this one for illustration), the balcony, which was the star of this place, had mismatched, uncomfortable and unusable furniture.
The booking agency was great, and it seemed that the cleaning crew worked hard. The view was excellent. The rest of the place was average at best.

The pictures of the view do not do it justice. It is amazing! The condo itself had everything we needed and the beds were comfortable. Its location was great. Really close to Grand Lake where you could grab dinner, kayak, swim, play putt, etc. It's also within 15 minutes of Rocky Mountain National Park. Our stay was amazing. Would stay here again.

The condo had everything we needed for a lovely week in Grand Lake. The view is amazing. The back patio overlooks the quaint, little town. The kitchen had everything you needed to cook inside the condo. May want to bring your own storage containers for leftovers. The rental company was quick to respond and very friendly. The beds were comfortable. We brought our own pillows so I can’t speak to them. Bring your own toiletries. Minimal amount provided. Some spices provided. Washer and dryer work well. Dishwasher with limited amount of washing supplies. Bring a hair dryer. Had some games and movies and books and puzzles for entertainment. We enjoyed playing Oodles every night. Decor is not new. You can definitely tell the condo was built in the 70s or 80s, but it is very clean and perfectly adequate for a family getaway. Loved our time here.

The view of Grand Lake was fantastic from Shadow Park West #150. Check in and out was a smooth process with Grand Mountain Rentals and the staff was informative and pleasant. The property itself was clean, the appliances were great (if you are interested in cooking at home), but the beds and decor are in need of updating, though. Parking was easy and accessable to the front door, never crowded. Overall, SPW was a very convenient location to anything you want to do in Grand Lake!

The property was mostly sufficient. It sleeps 4 comfortably, but the hot water heater was too small for a family of 4 so we had to rotate showers. Also, the listing indicated that the stove had recently been replaced, but there were no baking dishes provided, so the oven couldn't be used for cooking. Be sure to bring your own baking dishes if you plan to use the oven.

This unit has incredible views of the lake and town. If we weren't out exploring, we were on the deck. LOVED the location. The town of Grand Lake was beautiful and peaceful. I feel like this is a hidden gem as there was not the big crowds that we experienced in other locations. The access to RMNP was less than 2 miles away. We ate in town at One Love; it was awesome. We also did fly fishing through Kirk's Fly-fish in town and highly recommend as well. Even though this unit is a little dated, the location and view make it an amazing find! Hope to return in the future.

Great stay in Grand Lake
This two-bedroom apartment in a complex is an economy property with a luxury view of both Grand Lake and Shadow Mountain Lake. It is convneiently located, only a five-minute drive to Grand Lake, the small town and lake where we rented kayaks for a three-hour paddle to both lakes and back. The main drag of town is mostly tourst trap dining and shops, although there is a great bakery in town and a decent coffee shop and bagel place. It's only a 15 minute drive to the entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park and hiking trails, and there is a good fly fishing shop, Kirk's, in Grand Lake with good guides and rates. The unit balcony has a Weber grille and offers a stunning lake view from the development's high perch.
The unit itself is furnished with dated stuff with a TV that was missing a cable when we arrived. There is a portable CD player, which tells you how long since any investment was made. We had our own Hot Spot. Do not count on wireless service. The oven and overhead light/fan were in serious need of a deep cleaning, and the bathtub shower head sprayed when drawing a bath. the owner is not present. On the other hand, the shower pressure as great, and the bed in the main bedroom has a firm mattress. Bring your own pillow. The ones there are rocks. The management company did find us a cable on our third day there.
Overall, we were happy with the cost of the unit and value, and its location.

Nothing Fancy
We have stayed in these units before, mainly for the views. This one was a basic unit, décor left a little bit to be desired but suited our needs. There were several pans which needed a bit of cleaning before we could use them (I think they went through the dish washer but needed scrubbing). The grill also needed some attention before we could use it.

View is gorgeous. The condo is tired looking and needs a good cleaning of the carpet. The kitchen needs a decent set of cookware (with some lids), dishes and flatware. The beds were comfortable.
