A lovely loft type apartment, in a perfect location inside the Area Pedonale in the historical centre of Matera. Watching tourists dragging their luggage up and down the relatively steep stairs, in the heat, we couldn't believe how lucky we were to find this lovely apartment which is situated at the top level of the historical centre of Matera. Anna is the most friendly, helpful and kind host, she met us at the property and gave us an excellent overview of the surrounding area, made lunch and dinner recommendations, and helped with booking us a table at an excellent, nearby restaurant for dinner. She was kind enough to switch on the air con before we arrived, so we walked from a midday scorching heat into a chilled space, and also stocked the fridge with milk, still and sparkling water, and juice. The space was spotlessly clean throughout, lovely white bed linen, plenty of clean, white towels, and a good shower with a powerful stream. The space is also equipped with a small kitchen, wardrobe space and storage space. A perfect little gem in an overly touristic, though beautiful Matera.
