About this house rental
Villa Sofia is a vacation rental home located in the surf town of Rincon, Puerto Rico. Rincon is located on the west side of the island and is known for it's prime surfing and whale watching. It is about a 20 minute drive from the Aguadilla airport and less than a 2 hour drive from San Juan. It is very easy to get to from the main highway. We've taken some time off from renting the house to do some amazing upgrades for you to make your vacation even more perfect! Enjoy your days at the local beaches and come home to take a dip in the inground pool with waterfall. You can continue to soak up the sun on the sundeck. Begin your day with your cup of coffee or end it with a nice glass of wine sitting outside on the terrace under the cool ceiling fans listening to the local coquis. There are 2 bedrooms, one consist of 2 full size beds and the other bedroom has a queen size bed. The house has all of your needs for the beach including chairs, towels, cooler and umbrella. There is a Keurig, a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom including most toiletries. Rates start at $250 a night. There is a minimum stay of 7 nights for this property. We do offer discounts for extended stays. So come relax and enjoy the sun, sand and the enchantment of the island of Puerto Rico "La Isla del Encanto."

Rincon in itself is an incredible well kept secret and the stay at the Pueblo house was very pleasant. Near everything and quiet area. Smooth checkin and checkout. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend it.

Our second great stay in Rincon
The house is comfortable, spacious and was very clean. The place is quiet and peaceful. It’s in a great location, near to downtown Rincon, beach and restaurants. This was our second time in Villa Sofia and we look forward to coming back again. Thank you Lila & Zenaida for great stay!

We enjoyed our stay in Villa Sofia. The house was very clean, cozy, comfortable, a nice and very quiet place to rest after a long beach day. It has a beautiful view of sunset and starry nights, has a nice balcony with chairs and a deck to hangout or enjoy a grill. The house is located in a hill near of town in the dead road. It is very well equipped with all the amenities, towels (bath towels, kitchen towels, beach towels), clean bed linens, pillows, etc. The bathroom came equipped with all that is needed clean towels, shampoo and soap and other toiletries. Has a well equipped kitchen. Definitely you must have a car because there is nothing within walking distance, but is near to town (3 minutes from house to downtown), beach, restaurants, supermarkets (Econo Supermarket and Famcoop Supermarket 5 minutes from house), bakery. Great location for day trips on the west coast, to visits Mayaguez, Aguada, Cabo Rojo, and enjoy travel around beaches and explore local restaurants. Have a lot places to visit in Rincon, we recommend to visit Ricomini Bakery, you will find a great coffee, breakfast, pastries, variety of sandwiches and other things (but Rincón has others local bakeries), also visit Capriccio Trattoria a restaurant in downtown, make reservations; Cowboys (Road 115 Km 11.6 Interior), Gonzalez Sea Food in Mayaguez, and El Rey de los Monchis Rest. in Cabo Rojo (Road 101 Km. 16.5 Boqueron). Villa Sofia is more beautiful than the photos shows, it is decorated nicely and the windows have curtains that go very well with the decoration, bring a fresh and completely renovated style. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and has air conditioned, also has A/C in living room. We had a nice and comfortable stay. Zenaida the caretaker of the house was very friendly and helpful. A beautiful villa located just outside of town with a gorgeous view of the sunset and the sea. The property was spotless, and check-in/out was a breeze. My daughter and I felt right at home. This was our third summer vacationing in PR, and we stayed at this villa all three times. And we will be back again before too long.

Loved Villa Sofia!
The house was in a great location. Close to downtown Rincon, but just up the hill a couple minutes, where we had awesome views of the hills, ocean, and Desecheo. It was quiet and felt private, but so handy to go to town and beaches, etc. The house was clean and spacious. David, the manager was very friendly and helpful. Lila, the owner, was a pleasure to work with. We would highly recommend staying here, and would do so again ourselves.

We had a wonderful experience at Villa Sofia and are grateful for the world it opened up to us in Rincón and the island of Puerto Rico! We were able to check into the villa about an hour early, which was very helpful. The place sparkled and the view is incredible. It’s located just a few minutes from town and our favorite Rincón beach, yet slightly off the beaten path. It is quiet and peaceful with quick and easy access to restaurants and beaches. This was our second trip to Puerto Rico and to Villa Sofia, and we look forward to coming back to both again.

Villa Sofia was super clean and beautiful. Very cozy, modern, and close to town. A perfect getaway.
My daughter and I absolutely loved our stay in Rincón and at Villa Sofia. The property manager, David, met us at the Property promptly at the 4pm check-in time and acquainted us with all its features. He and his wife were very warm, open, and welcoming. The villa is like brand-new; it was modern and clean and had absolutly everything we needed from wifi toma washer and drier. The wrap-around veranda overlooks a lush little valley and views of the sea beyond. It was cozy, quiet, safe, modern, a little off-the-beaten-path, and completely perfect. We would stay here again without a doubt.

Mother's Day Weekend
My family and I enjoyed very much the stay at Vacation house in Surf town Rincon. It is closer to Rincon Center than we thought. It was very easy to find. The place was very clean and Zinaida and David were waiting for us when we arrived. It has a nice view to Desecheo Island and the sunsets are spectacular. The long balcony is ideal to sit and have breakfast in the morning and great to watch the sunsets in the evening. We visit Rincon often and will consider this property again in the near future.

Clean! Great place to watch the sunset!
This please was great! I liked everything about it. The only downside is finding it the first time. They do fix this problem by having either themselves or the caretaker to meet you and show you the way. After the first time, it not to bad to find. Just mark it on your GPS.

Quiet, Peaceful, clean and close to Town
Myself, my wife and our two adult children had a great time in this two bedroom home. The AC in the bedrooms provided a great nights sleep. Best part were mornings with coffee on the balcony. It has a nice view with a partial view of the ocean that is quiet and peaceful. It was nice having the open view to look out over. Beach chairs were provided which was a great plus.
They were very accommodating with an early check in. For the price this is a great deal!

Beautiful view and sunsets! Great beaches. A new meat market and fish market at the trolley station lobster and tuna. Can hardly wait for next year!

Wonderful stay!
It's a beautiful property on a hill with a view. It was very nice 2 bedroom 1 bathroom. We felt right at home. We wish it had an outdoor shower but it was still great.

Eddie and Ricki's Perfect Stay at Villa Sofia
My life partner and I stayed at Villa Sofia for two weeks this July (2016). Villa Sofia is the perfect vacation rental house!
The house offers two spacious bedrooms, a brand new kitchen with all utensils and pots needed for home cooking, a BBQ grill, a large living room with a dining area and a terrace that circles almost the entire house. The views of the ocean and the historical Desecheo Island, people parasailing over the ocean each morning, and the stars and moonlit nights were amazing. Felt like we could reach out and pull a star out of the sky each night.
The bathroom came equipped with all that is needed: clean towels, shampoo and soap and other toiletries. The decor of the house perfectly matches the surrounding ambiance.
The house is conveniently located away from the noise of La Plaza (especially Thursday through Sunday when locals sing karaoke out on the street, dance to Puertorican rhythms offered by local businesses and a art festival takes place). Yet, the house is close enough (a 3 minute drive down a hill) if you're in the mood for it all. Get your tranquility as needed or party as needed!
There are many places to visit very close to the house. The location will put you close to all the happening places in rincon and nearby towns.
It was an awesome stay! We miss the house and rincon dearly, and we will be back next year for another stay at Villa Sofia without a doubt.

Great family time at Villa Sofia
Our family of 5 including teenage sons and younger daughter had a great time spending Easter at your beautiful home. The layout was perfect for the family to enjoy cooking and time together in the main room, and with its most impressive wrap-around view towards the ocean for stunning sunsets. I also enjoyed my morning yoga on your spacious patio. The home has modern kitchen and bathroom, and air conditioned bedrooms. The cable TV was perfect for us to cheer on Villanova for their semi-final last game. Tons of amenities! We traveled frequently to town and all the nearby beaches. We loved attending Easter church service at the town's Catholic church. And the farmer's market is a must on Sunday, as well as dinner/music at Rincon Beer any night.
Only suggestions include more patio chairs, and yoga mat(s).

Amazing House/View!!!!!
We had a great time staying in Rincon for a week at this property! It was secluded with an amazing view but also a very quick drive into downtown and to the grocery store. It was awesome to be able to have everything we needed in the kitchen to cook during our stay as well as beach chairs and towels to use! It is newly remodeled and everything in the interior was in great condition. Big shower/bathroom and comfy couch were A+++! We were provided with great customer service throughout our stay and had no problems. We also used the grill on the deck one night which was great. Beaches are close by as well as great restaurants and bars with great happy hours. We really enjoyed Shipwreck Bar & Grill with great rum punches and big portions. Make sure to check out the Farmers Market downtown at the Plaza on Sunday's and the Art Walk on Thursday Nights.

A memorable month in the sun
My husband, friends and I enjoyed our first time in Puerto Rico and Rincon. Villa Sofia was up in the hills overlooking the town with a view of the sea and Desecheo Island. We saw many rainbows while on our balcony and enjoyed the early morning quiet. There are beaches for all kinds of activities but we enjoyed Sandy Beach for watching the surfers and jet ski races and Barreros Beach for the quiet and whale watching. We cooked in a lot because my husband is a chef, we had chicken and ribs from the local wagon and brick-oven pizza from a wagon where the owner built his own brick oven! The a/c in the bedrooms was much appreciated after a long day in the sun. The owner admitted that he would not drink the water at the villa and we bought water for cooking and drinking and ice cubes. A suggestion would be to have at least some bottled water available when guests first arrive. The power went out twice when we were there (which the locals said was very unusual) but candles and matches would have been helpful. The neighbors were very nice and one woman gave us plantains and told us how to cook them. There were four white cats from the neighborhood that were very aggressive even coming into our kitchen and stealing food from the counters. We never fed them but they did get into the trash which did not have a cover. (I voiced my concerns regarding the cats and trash to the manager) I mention the cats only because some people are allergic. All in all we had a good time and are planning our stay next year. We definitely will be coming back to Rincon!
