About this condo rental
Nestled in Holualoa, this lovely condo for R 5,068 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Centrally located, My Hawaii Vacation Rental, "Kona Luana", is within a ten minute walk of Kailua-Kona Village. There are many attractions some of which include Kailua-Kona pier, variety of dinning options, waterfront shopping, Farmers Market, coffee shops and friendly locals. Kona Luana is about 10 miles south of Kona Airport and about a 1 hour drive to volcano park. A forty-five minute drive to Manua Kea and about a two hour drive to Hilo. There's plenty to do if you have the time, anything from scuba diving, snorkeling, sport fishing, biking, hiking, horse back riding and whole bunch more. Major stores are minutes away, Costco, Walmart, Safeway, Macy's, Home Depot, Cinemas and much more. Kona Luana is a unique 3 story condominium older unit directly on the water. Don't let the outside fool you. Unit 1 is on the first floor and is not a rental but used as art studio, rarely open.. Unit 2 and Unit 3 are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. both opposite each other, both of which have the identical floor plan and both completely remodeled. Living room: Includes High Speed Wi-Fi Internet, Direct TV, a large 65' High Definition Samsung flat screen. A office desk, New couch purchased 5/13/2022. A breath taking 180 degree view of Kahului Bay that is only feet away. The living room has a new Air Conditioner and ceiling fans, just in case you need them. Also, all new flooring on both floors. A work desk and chair along with a wi-fi printer. Kitchen: The kitchen was remodeled in 2008. Wood cabinets, corian counter-tops, a new dish washer (1/2023), refrigerator (2019), micro wave and range, completely equipped with every kitchen cooking and eating utensil you can think of. The kitchen also has a private lanai overlooking Alii Drive. Master Bedroom: New, King size bed, purchased 5/13/2022. One large closet for guests, ceiling fan, window unit air conditioning, large Samsung 55" flat screen TV with DirecTV. This bedroom has an Incredible ocean view with private lanai. and lanai furniture and table. Relax and watch all the water activities during the day, or in the evening gaze at the stars or beautiful Hawaiian sunsets. Master Bathroom: remodeled in 2014 tiling, tub and shower, dark wood cabinets, low profile toilet and new fixtures. 2nd. Bedroom: Second bedroom has two NEW, twin beds purchased 5/13/2022, stand up air-conditioner unit, a ceiling fan and large closet. 2nd. Bathroom: Walk-in shower, mosaic shower floor, vanity, fixtures and toilet The flooring has just been replaced on 5/13/2022. both floors, A new toilet was just installed downstairs on 5/13/2022. All towels and sheets are new as of 5/13/2022. I still need to finish up some minor painting. I will paint in Oct/Nov 2022. Kona Vacations Rental provides the optimal way to enjoy your Hawaiian vacation with all the luxuries and comforts of home, shopping, dining and entertainment are well within walking distance. Pest Control: I have both condos treated for pests quarterly. Just be aware, this is an oceanfront home on an Island. Occasionally, there are insects. If you leave food out, the tiny ants will come, if you leave the door or screen open, bugs will come in. Our goal is to provide you with first class customer service, clean and well maintained accommodations making your stay with us an unforgettable, Kona dream vacation. If there is something that needs to be addressed, please text me. I can't take care of any issues if I'm unaware of them. We take pride in both our vacation rentals. Our main goal is that you are totally, 100% satisfied with your stay and you keep coming back. If you take a look at our calendar, you'll see some dates are booked up to a year in advance. I booked this property for our week's stay and did not regret it! It was so nice to have space vs a 1 bedroom hotel for an entire week. I LOVED the view, which is why I booked it. I wanted an unobstructed view of the ocean, which I got! We even got to see whales off our balcony! I would stay here again!

fantastic location in Kona. Close to all the touristy things one would like to do.Right on the ocean. We were able to see whales from the deck. Two decks, which is where we spent most of our time Close to a lot of good restaraunts. Would stay here again.

This place is fantastic! Best oceanfront property imaginable. One lanai overlooking the main road/hills, and TWO overlooking the ocean. We could see fish in the surf and we saw spinner dolphins. The apartment is comfy, inviting and well appointed. Close to town. It does require the use of stairs, but we were well aware of that from the property description, and also we liked it so much, this was a return visit. If you want to be close to the ocean you can't get much closer without being in it. We love it!

This was our first time staying on Hawaii in the Kona area. The property was very clean and well equipped for cooking, eating, and sleeping. The view of the ocean from the porches was lovely, and we spent a lot of time out there. The property is located in an area of busy traffic, but the parking arrangement worked well, and the property was convenient to many businesses and attractions that vacationers would tend to visit. Noise was not excessive. I'm glad we chose this VRBO.

The location was close to everything and very clean when we got there. The owner was AMAZING about getting back to us very quickly about everything. The wifi, tvs, view, yhe kitchen was great and perfectly stocked and master bedroom were great.
There were a couple cons, but they were minor. The guest bedroom is dark, bland and the beds were pretty hard. The house is on a main road so the guest room and downstairs hear the constant traffic and it can be a lil much during high traffic times. Lastly, the 1st morning we woke to some small bugs on the kitchen table and surrounding floor. It freaked me out, but i cleaned it up and called the owner. He offered a bug spray, but due to my sons breathing condition and my severe allergies we could not use it. The owner was great and tried to find alternative options. It was a random situation and he really tried to rectify it.
I would highly recommend this property, especially for family stay.

This is a good private and spacious oceanfront place to stay on the Big Island. It's close to beaches and shopping. The view and sunsets are spectacular!
There was an issue with a broken washer during the stay. The owner tried to have it replaced during our stay but it wasn't able to happen. The two windows AC units struggle to keep things cool but they work.
The outside furniture is very worn, the lounger upstairs had a large hole in the cushion. Not sure if it was an oversight by the house keeper but there were no trash bags, tissues or paper towels.
Overall the location, dedicated parking and size made this a good place to stay.

Overall our stay was great. A few quirky things in the condo but overall had a great time. You cannot beat being able to watch dolphins from your lanai while drinking your morning coffee.

If you love the sound of the waves this is the place for you! You are literally right over the water. It I just as it is advertised. Very clean and well stocked with dishes,, beach gear and even golf clubs if you're a golfer. I would definitely stay here again

This place was amazingly! Close to town, RIGHT on the ocean, nicely appointed facility, it was well represented in accordance to website photos and descriptions. My parents celebrated their 60th anniversary and we all had a wonderful stay. It was really nice having a stand alone facility, just three units, rather than being in a large complex. We liked the split level, having two floors to ourselves. Our favourite feature was having three private lanais. The place was clean and very well kept. Communication with the the property host was prompt and helpful. We absolutely loved it and would stay here again.

When we first arrived a the property I was a bit alarmed at how old and run-down the property was. However, once we were inside the unit (#3) I could see how much was done to improve the unit. It looks as if it had been completely renovated with new floors, appliances, etc (except the door to the microwave is broken and put together with tape). Both the main floor and the bedrooms/bathrooms upstairs were nicely decorated.
The view from both balconies was breathtaking. There's nothing like being right on the ocean! The first morning we woke to a pod of dolphins frolicking right out front. And Kona sunsets are amazing! We utilized the grill on the balcony. The view almost made up for some of the other flaws...almost.
The AC units (a must in Kona) were old and filthy. They were very noisy and could barely cool the rooms. The electrical outlets didn't work properly in the master bedroom and the wireless was spotty.
These are easy fixes, and once done my rating could easily be a 5!

We stayed here for 5 days. It is in a very convenient location and has an amazing view of the ocean. The condo has all the amenities and kitchen is well stocked. The owner was responsive. Highly recommend. Will come again.

Great Location
Our family had a great time at this condo. It’s walking distance to a nice beach, restaurants, and shops. The living room furniture has actually been updated, just not in the pictures. This unit had everything we needed for a great visit.

Great location with awesome view
We loved the location and were surprised with the furnishings upgrades but the property management could do a lot more to improve it to make sure guests are satisfied.
- The cleaning is definitely not the best as you can see all the dust in the floor under the bed and furnitures.
- The AC units are very dated and noise
- The bathroom tub curtain is disgusting. They should replace it every time a bathroom tub curtain doesn’t cost more then $10. The one there now is stained and moldy.
- electrical outlets in the bedroom is also a issue, I left phone plugged all night but it didn’t charged at all.
- There are done cracks on the walls
- It looks like they start putting a fresh coat of painting but didn’t finished it and never did the edges cuts around the doors and windows trim, there is also a unfinished wood putty patch on the wall.
- The curtains rods are all old an rusted.
If the property owner and the and manager invest a couple hundred dollars for these little things mentioned it will definitely be 5 stars rating.

Newly renovated spaces! The double balcony overhanging shorelines was dreamy. You could hear the waves from pretty much anywhere in the house. Amenities were clean and functional.

The reason we stayed here is the view. And it does not disappoint. I'd even say the view is even better than the pictures. Loved eating breakfast or lunch on the lanai.

We could sit for hours watching the waves crash in from the lanai! We made a point to be there to watch the sunset a couple of evenings and it was beautiful. The location was great. There was plenty of space in the condo for our family of four.

Amazing Ocean View
Property was exactly as described. Dolphins greeted us almost each morning, the sunsets are beautiful. Listening to the waves break every day was awesome. Great parking and walking distance to shops and restaurants.

Great location
This place is such a great location. Not only, being on the water, but also walking distance to activities in town and beaches. It would be a 4 star rating except for the repairs needed that would make it perfect.
Mark was very attentive to any requests. The place was more than stocked with gear for using at the beach.

Its wonderful home and you CAN NOT want more then the view. Its amazing. A few things that came up were fixed and Mark was super at being there when I called for answers. And his new housekeeper Hannah is a doll and was responsive to some needs that came up.
