The location of this rental makes it easy to see San Diego. You're seconds from I-5 with easy access to many locations. The setup of the rental is perfect for families with small kids. Our three boys loved stayed out in the Cabana. The house has all you need. Only complaint is the futon is a little old, and it is get difficult to setup. Minor detail that shouldn't keep anyone from staying here.

Bob, was a great host. My family and I stayed in his home to celebrate my wife’s birthday. The location was amazing, everything was within walking distance. Bob takes great care of the home everything was nice and clean. Can’t wait to come back!

My family and I stayed here for our family vacation and we loved it. The location is perfect walking distance to old town and 30 mins from the theme parks we were visiting. Bob is a great host. My kids enjoyed the pool and the huge deck at night. We will definitely stay here again. It was clean and the little details like bath soap, sunblock and towels were awesome. Kitchen is fully stocked and the kids loved staying in the cabana

Love the location, close to Seaworld, beaches, Whaley House, etc. Did have to wash my hair in the kitchen sink and then shower because water pressure is really bad, I think removing the filter in the shower head would fix the problem. Great place to stay.

The property and accommodations were exactly as described in the listing. The kids really enjoyed having their own area sleep and of course having a private pool is always a plus. Bob was awesome to work with and very accommodating for our needs. We will definitely be staying here again! Bob might even direct you to a couple of local secrets to enhance your vacation. This house is walking distance to old Town which is easily a full day of activity and entertainment. The price was unbeatable for a house in San Diego that accommodates up to five people as well as having a private pool.

Great location, easy to get to everything. Parking in the driveway is very convenient. Bob is a great host. Helpful but not in the way. The place was great for 2 adults and 2 kids. The kids stayed in the cabana and said it felt like their own camp cabin. Pool and yard feel private enough and that was a nice bonus. Very good location. Easy to get to the airport, close to the zoo / sea world and right off the interstate easy to hop downtown.

We had a great stay! At first glance, the place looked small. But in reality there was enough space for us (a family of 5, with 3 small children). We stayed there for 3 days. There is everything you need. Our children loved the condo, pool, patio. They didn't want to leave. Great location. Good owner. We'll definitely recommend this place!

We expected a bed not a futon we had to make up ourselves. The blankets were not clean and the small place needed more cleaning too. The owner lived next door and was yelling abusive words to his wive. We left a day early.

This rental is in a wonderful location. We walked to Old Town and it took about 10 minutes. Its close to the freeway but far enough away that you don't really hear the traffic. Bob was a wonderful host. I pre-approved my 4 dogs and when we got to the studio he already had water out for them. Bob lives in the attached house so he was there to greet us when we arrived and took us through the studio and the kids room. The yard is wonderful and the outside patio and yard were probably the best part of the place. My few negative comments are regarding the cleanliness versus the amount you pay for the cleaning fees. There are two $60 cleaning fees for a total of $120, which is almost the cost of 1 night. For that amount of cleaning fees there was a lot of dust build-up, particularly in the bathroom (door frame, mask, and mirror). There are a lot of spiderwebs all over the place (skylight, wall treatment, top bunk of the bed, lights). I didn't mind because the floors were clean, the bedding was clean, dishes were clean, and I wouldn't have even posted this comment if it weren't for the amount you pay in cleaning fees. There were quite a few light bulbs that were burnt out and should be replaced. If it was only 1 $60 charge, this would not have been posted. Also, I hated the shower. I had to wash my hair in the sink because there is not enough water pressure. The couch/futon in the studio is starting to fall apart and is hard to get back into the couch form and the handle on the toilet feels like it will be falling apart soon. I would defiantly stay here again. We had three adults and a 9 year old with us and that was perfect, I would not suggest more than that even though it says it can accommodate more. Another thing I really liked, Bob had coffee for us to use - this was a big plus for me, I love my coffee. I just wish it was a bigger coffee pot, but a small space means small coffee pot. On the plus side, each of us had a fresh pot of coffee (we had to make a new port for each adult because of the size). Do not let my pickiness stop you from renting this place. I will be back, I really liked it. I will bring a swifter with me next time.

Bob is the quintessential San Diego host! Very responsive and with terrific, useful knowledge of the area, where to eat, transportation options, etc. And the rental unit is so neat! Clean, functional, and though I didn't need the pool (was renting for work travel), it's cool to have your own secluded spot. Half mile walk to the trolley (light rail), and Old Town also a half mile walk. Give this place a try!

Charming little studio and cabana! Loved being able to just walk outside and jump in the pool. Close to all the tourist attractions and great food close by too!

My brother and I had a 3 night stay at Bobs place, great location walk to downtown San Diego, many restaurants, bars and stores. 10 mins. to airport Accommodations were excellent, pool, deck, cabana, parking spot, free coffee, washer dryer, overhead walkin shower, would definitely go back. Thanks Bob

What I loved about Bob's place: 1. The pool. It was awesome to have this completely private, beautiful pool to ourselves. 2. The Annex. I have a 20-year-old daughter and 17-year-old son, and they could each have their own bed in the area very close to, but separate from, where me and my wife stayed. 3. The location. We were a short drive to all the sites in San Diego and a short walk to the restaurants and shops of Old Town. 4. Bob's tips. One time he suggested what to order off the menu at a particular restaurant, and he nailed it!

We stayed at this little house (which included a little beach house) since it was our first time at Old Town. Everything was within walking distance (our rental stay at the home). The kids loved the beach house with the twin beds but mostly they enjoyed the pool! Very quite neighborhood. We will definitely be staying here again on our next visit to San Diego! Oh one last thing the unit had a washer/dryer! Loved it!!!
